My first "mod". In reality I only modified the Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 "Guardia Civil" by Dani Kiss, with a new livery and a different color of the flashing lights. From a police car to a fake safety car, to be used perhaps with the new dedicated app. The physics are the original ones, I only changed the sound.😀🚨

Dear Friends, experiencing an interesting issue with the game recently. Whilst in race mode only, any car experiences throttle pulsating at approx 90mph...kinda like the speed is limited, occurs in 3rd gear and only in race mode (not practice mode or anything else). The pedals app shows the green throttle bar pulsating on and off continuously. Appreciate any insight. Of course, using the latest CSP and pure...Thx Team!

Do you mean for any car that you have tried so far? Do you have an auto shift in the settings for yourself?

Still on Le Mans.

A retrospective using the pack of cars from the 20s/30s... In this video, a qualifying session with the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 (number 11) for the 24 hours of 1933.

Some cars (I adapted) to increase the grid a little, since there is still no larger number for this year.In the case of the 24 hours of Le Mans 1928 (I did the same), with the grid remaining at 27 cars.

A sample of how the adaptation turned out (face + driver_suit).For those who want (more immersion in the simulation)...I will upload it in a few days (I used "driver3d" = driver_23)

Hey guys... I already figured this out years ago but forgot. When you check the driver gloves with object inspector ingame and the textures are the normal 2016_gloves_DIFF and 2016_gloves_NM. Yet when you define these filenames correctly in the skins folder, they won't show up ingame... but only show the vanilla white/grey Sparco Kunos gloves... what was the .ini that overrides these in the car folder?

Amazing, thanks. That solved it. Here's a virtual beer. :)

Edit: It did add the helmet of this particular driver but then helmets of other driver skins disappeared. Some appear, some don't. Like gloves are visible but the helmets are not. The driver model is driver_no_HANS. This is totally weird.

Edit2: The driver skins appear correctly on quickrace/practice but not in the championship season mode.

But wait... there's more Twlight Zone stuff.

If I move that problematic car higher on the championship.champ.json file grid order the skins reappear and the driver skins who move lower on the grid order disappear.. :D

Edit3: I fixed it. It's the weirdest thing I've encountered. When the cars are placed in certain order in the championship.champs grid and there's a car without full driver skin in the middle of the grid order (no helmet or gloves) it somehow "interrupts" the skin function. When I added those four missing helmets to the rest of the grid so that all cars have full equipment it started working.

Interesting, after about 1 lap, the speed limit lifts and I then have full speed capability....any track/car cvombo in race mode, I'm now have this speed limit imposed...again, if anyone has any ideas...thx (no speed limiter software has ever been installed)

You don’t have Nuzzi’s Fia Flags app installed? It really sounds like app’s virtual safty car kicks in.

Does the driver model in driver3d.ini match the driver model in skin.ini?

Example:
Driver3d.ini = driver_fbi
Skin.ini = driver_no_hans
Settings in skin.ini will not apply.
 
I started reworking this car in 2022 because I thought that TonyB's port was kind of an insult to VLM and their magnificent work. It was missing so many aero parts, skins were a mismatch, it was just tragic.

After a while I stopped bc it was too much for one person and restarted in 2023 with adding missing liveries so this car has, I think, all liveries from 1982 to 1986. (might've missed some that didn't have ref pics). The quality ain't great because I used the regular 2k skins as base but it is better than nothing.

In the end it's still not perfect (think there's a way to use one single car instead of three but I don't know nor care to know how to do it) but I can't be arsed (since '23 lol) to further work on this car so I'll let y'all do it. It need lods, better physics, some other things (some rear wings variants are still missing; rims aren't properly accurate but I don't have the motivation to even swap those with the mutiple rims setup I used for my PC2 962, yeah I'm lazy).

I asked for the sticker not another picture of the car i already have. If you can find me that sticker then i will skin the car if not then i can't touch it as that sticker is pretty important on this specific skin

Work on the 2001 ROC Auto (F) Reynard 2KQ-Lehmann VW with two different aero kits. Physics are pretty much finalized. Updating the front tyres to blue is taking place right now.

Okay, a few months of work with this one. The good old 2002 Ferrari. It's actually so good that in my opinion it needed a proper 2002 season.

I created 2002 TV graphics (leaderboard), added a lot of 2002 sponsors to Shin's/Thockard's great 1998 tracks (ORANGE, Vodafone, FIRESTONE were very dominant advertisers at that time), added plenty of better helmets and gloves, fixed the skinpack issue with the 2002 cars, adjusted the fuel load (so that every 20 lap race has at least one pitstop, both AI and user). You know the usual stuff.

All leaderboard drivers also have their correct numbers and tyre suppliers (M Michelin, B Bridgestone)

I played this season through two times before I released it

AI:
Schumacher 100
Montoya (User)
Barrichello 97
Raikkonen 96
Coulthard 95
Ralf Schumacher 95

and so on.

At least it's very competitive to me as Thockard's track AI's are superb.
