Hello can anyone tell me the best Montreal Circuit Gilles Villeneuve to use as mine somehow has texture problems on the grid slots?

I tried a track but there the cars are just porting into the pits..

I didn't know that. Obviously, my addition is just to add some color and life to the track. As I said before, I don't have the skills to do a good job yet. Is there a guide on GitHub for spectators? For now, I can only add them directly to the meshes, but I'd like to be able to position them only in certain spots and avoid certain overlaps with certain parts of the track. If there's a guide or suggestions, I could do a more thorough job.
Download AC Modding Manual and heve fun 🙂

Short answer: use a track mesh (as you are doing now) or create an invisible (or non renderable) surface for the crawd to stand on.

Sorry I don´t get it. The 2025 sponsors ARE with the 1.0 of Fenryr. Just try the 24h variant.
I only drive the Nordschleife version :ill:

Well indeed. We are like those bunch still playing GTR2 which is like minecraft these days looks wise. Frankly so many others have dropped the ball, even kunos with ACE.

I would say AC is the best sandbox type driving sim. Its not the best racing sim. And only on PC as the console AC is utter gash.
I have just recently and after spending years slagging it off, got into drifting, boy those guys put some love into their mods, never seen anything like it on some of them, incredible the new stuff I've learnt that you can do with ini files.
So after saying i don't release my mods because they will get turned into pink drift cars... I'm now making drift cars... so in theory i can release those.......... Maybe this one first!

@timetoo22
So you are the guy, that has all these nice cars and never answer questions on racedepartment/screenshot thread?
Baiting is a great thing, I'm a fish that has taken the bait and would like to know if we'll ever get the chance to have these vehicles?
Esp. these for me.

Nürburgring 2025 1.0 ACC Conversion (Laserscan) FREE

Note: All credit goes to Fenryr, the following update notes are copy-pasted from his recent discord post:

Finally, I can share with you version 1.0 of the Nürburgring and that means it's now FREE to download for everyone!

UPDATE 1.0

This update brings the mod to what I consider a complete state, featuring nearly every layout currently used today.
Future updates and fixes will still come based on community feedback.
  • Lots of new layouts
  • Many visual fixes such as floating objects or flickering textures
  • 2025 Renovation implements such as removing the Astroturf at T1 and adjusted curbs on the Nordschleife on multiple locations
  • Added brake markers, and sponsor boards
  • More tents and spectators on the 24H layout
  • Also tried to optimize the mod with implementing LODs
  • New VAO patch for every layout
  • And a lot more...
As always, thanks for your support, be safe!

Stay tuned for more!

Download V1.0 here

Enjoy! 😉

Could you convert Monaco from project cars?

For anyone who wants to try it, here's the link for the Nordschleife and Tourist layouts. I know, it looks more like an Oktoberfest, but I haven't been able to do any better so far. Just add the files to the assetto corsa/content folder.

The grass looks good.

Hey fastlane gurus... could someone finally fix the Kylami 1967 and RJ_Kyalami 1975 mandatory starting line crash on races? That is notorious and it has been there since the day one. It's a lovely conversion of a classic track and I even made all eyecandy for 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985. But that starting line crash... how can it still be there? :)

I wish I knew how to make proper fastlanes. It's tough I've tried but no cigar.

I just looked into it with AI Line Helper, if you mean '76 actrackrebootproject (updated by racinjoe013).
The R side file is a bit messy near the grid, it should be as straight as possible but instead it takes into account the right armco post-pits too late with a quick small left turn. That stuff messes up badly with AI starts.

Luckily it's not a mere question of fast lane.
You can re-record the R file as slow as you like, keeping in mind Mr. Parrilla tips and straight copying (imitating) the rest of the R trajectory and drive differently only in the last bit.

Yeah this track. RJ_Kyalami_1975 is the same track, just faster ai.

Such a shame as it's a great track to drive.

Now this has a weird issue of cars crashing to the concrete wall on the pitlane too (when they're pitting from the QF lap). Wasn't there before. Something really weird with some CM setting as I've been using 0.1.79 all along.

That start crash has been there since the day one. It's old an popular track. Weird that nobody has fixed it.

It has this ai hint.ini but has no effect

Code:
[HINT_0]
START=0
END=0.290
VALUE=1.05

[HINT_1]
START=0.2901
END=0.338
VALUE=1.025

[HINT_2]
START=0.3381
END=0.477
VALUE=1.05

[HINT_3]
START=0.4771
END=0.549
VALUE=1.025

[HINT_4]
START=0.5491
END=0.648
VALUE=1.05

[HINT_5]
START=0.6481
END=0.736
VALUE=1.025

[HINT_6]
START=0.7361
END=0.999999
VALUE=1.05

[DANGER_0]
START=0.77
END=0.79
LEFT=0
RIGHT=1

[DANGER_1]
START=0.965
END=1
LEFT=0
RIGHT=1

It's always the cars in the second row and third row on the grid starting from the right side of the lane that drive straight to that concrete wall. Of course it could be car related too. Maybe it doesn't happen with all cars so the authors haven't noticed it?

Any of our resident track modders willing to rework Nemuno Ziedas ? It deffo need a better update than the 2024 one on breathe's list (which has near pitch black tarmac but still he same over-bright trees for some reason lol)

Hey everyone! I just want to say a big thank you! to all that have put work over the last number of years to make Assetto Corsa what it is today! Ive always wanted to 'contribute' in some way, im addicted to having full grids for any series and realized I dont have the fine skills or pateience to make liveries, so over the last while ive worked on making track AI lines/hints and car ai.ini, lots of trial and error but finally feel like I can share some of my stuff, the combo of proper ai lines/hints and proper car ai.ini is key to everything (as im sure most of you know) @Apocalypse211 im going to share my kyalami ai in the mods section

Hi guys, I have a problem with this car. In the showroom the bumper looks one way, but in game it looks another way. How can I change it? The car in question is the vrc erc 1999 vorax

in the setup menu on track there will be a "visual" tab or something and you should be able to choose which bumper you want or if you want a roof cam e.t.c

Excellent.

Welcome to the community. We can always use people who can make fastlanes.

Actually I'm not a great sim racer. I thought I was when I was able to clock Nurburgring GT track on ACC at 1:57... after like 1000 attempts. Then I went to se an online race where the guys clock 1:56 for 2 hours straight hehe.

As an offline player it's a blessing to be slow actually... but I've become so much better over the years that fastlanes have to be faster and faster. :D

Ive always considered myself on the quicker side, I raced karts for a few years as a kid, then got into Iracing up until I found assetto corsa and everything it offers lol, I haven't done any online racing in a couple years now and just have fun with the ai which are really good once it's dialed in, the car ai.ini is just as important as the track ai, low/mid 90s strength should be ok, agression varies as I've seen people use all kinds of different numbers
