did anyone get this mod?

(asking for a friend)
I have it. It's not bad at all. Models are fine, AI is good. Cockpit positions are a bit close to the wheel and some have wrong autoshift (should fix that maybe). All in all a nice exotic experience.

Hi, I have this problem, and I hope you can help. After installing all the car mods from a backup disk (1008 in total) and perhaps an 8GB update on AC Steam, CM doesn't allow any offline races. It starts, but after a few seconds, it says race cancelled and the original AC launcher starts, crashing due to the number of cars present. I tried starting a race with just one car in the AC cars folder, without CSP, and with a new CM without customizations, but to no avail. Basically, CM is unusable.

I hope someone has some suggestions on how to fix it.

Thanks

I think for the first launch, you must start AC.exe without CM. After that, CM should run fine.

Does anyone know how to change the material of mirrors? Car in question is the IER Oreca FLM09.

They are just absolutely ****, like they're made of frosted glass or something. Unusable - basically look grey or blobby 100% of the time.

Tried disabling/enabling Smart Mirror and Real Mirror extension, no change. Tried changing the resolution up and down (was already 2nd from highest), no change.

A guy in my league (link in sig) drives in VR and he was very vocal about how awful they were, basically useless. Is there any way to replace the reflective material here?

Cheers to anyone who may know.
Mirrors look fine to me using Real Mirrors in VR.

Have you tried redownloading from source?

The quality of the models is beyond question, but the rest is not quite as good.
Yeah, shaders aren't great compared to a lot of other GT7 ports from other modders, but it's nice of him to offer these unencrypted for free.
Poly count, although high by pipeline standards, shows evidence of at least some decimation, but in oddly-chosen locations. We have baby bum-smooth surfaces that aren't ever seen in the Merc, yet the circular wing mirror (something we'll look at a lot) is noticeably polygonal.
Still, good to see some effort put in. AC Mods do some unoptimised GT7 ports with 2.8+ million polys, which for a lot of people will just be good for photoshoots.
By the way, if anyone struggles with poor frame rates while hotlapping mod cars, it might not be the model detail at fault. Try renaming the car's extension folder and you might find things go butter-smooth with barely any change in how the cockpit looks. I'm convinced there's something in extensions (probably lighting-related) that is a major resource hog, especially with the current trend of ridiculously-OTT 'War and Peace'-length configs. Renaming the extension folder might break the lights, but if you're hotlapping during the day it's not a critical loss. Modders really need to show some restraint with configs though, there's a LOT of unnecessary bloat in there that can cause performance issues for marginal aesthetic gain that nobody will probably ever notice anyway.

Hi,

It's not about the AI line, because I just do hotlaping but, I got a problem that I resolved myself, so It may help for somebody else.

As a non user of "PURE" and/or "SOL", without any layer but CSP, the track seemed always with a weird mood, with the lighting like I am very early in the morning. Meanwhile I'm at 12.00 PM with a clear weather.

So, I resolved it by deleting in the ext_cong.ini file the lines about [SOL] in the extension folder of the track and deleting the lighting.ini file in the "Data" folder.

Cheers

Interesting news on the Tomsim(what happened?), I've been a bit MIA on AC so I was surprised my Tomsim discord disappeared....For the short time I like their content selection.

For me the Kunos F2004's are piling up on the hairpin at the new Monaco track (azure_2019_v2) ...

Is it so for everyone or is it a setting on my end which causes this?

It will make no difference if you delete the PURE or SOL lines in the ext config if you don’t use SOL or Pure.

Sol or Pure are the only things that will use those entries…

Check the CM "new physics" settings. That must be it. I noticed all kinds of issues with Kunos F2004 when I did my 2004 season and modded the car to work with current CM and CSP. It doesn't stay on track on Kunos Nurburgring GP track, either.

But my version works if you want to try (it has VRC 2007 car tyres).

Whatever is causing these issues it's weird. Also the pitlane mayhem etc.

Guys I’m wondering if anyone having the same issue.
Since a few months (not a specific moment) my game doesn’t run smooth in practise mod. Frames are fine (90/115) but the overall game stutters a lot. Once I change to trackday, race or weekend mode (as long as there’re other cars) the game runs super smooth. Even with a 30+ car grid it’s all fine, frames are 75 to 95 but super smooth.
I have literally no idea what could cause this but it makes single training impossible..
There is really no one who ever had this problem before?🙈
