Porsche 911 GT1 Evo - Larbre Comp 1998 #17

This is a quick & rough take on the missing livery for that era (FIA GT Championship Dijon 1998). Could not find some decals - let me know if you happen to have them.

Happy racing!
Looks great! Thank you!

Losail (Qatar) Circuit FNR - Action/F1-Cams

A high-speed circuit (particularly with F1 mods), with many turns at no less than 100 km/h... and the last three turns feel insane at 200+ km/h. The effort in concentration whilst blasting around this track is on another level - managed to work a sweat after 20 laps.

Happy racing & have a Prosperous New Year!!!

...don't forget to set a few new year resolutions, @Masscot is on the money here!

For anyone that cares, here is the first draft of the Macca and an updated Adonis to try and make them work with older CSP versions. The goal all along was to try and make the displays look like RSS had intended so you may not like the change to one of the screens on the Adonis. If so let me know and i'll roll it back to my original look.

Just like the Adonis mod from the other day, I included the original files for anything I changed. Also, remember to rename the camera and display folders in the Macca extension folder.

As I type this, I just realized I forgot to assign the slip lights on the Macca. That means there will be an update to this tonight or tomorrow. Sorry about that.
As promised, added the slip lights to the Macca. Also made a small change to the Adonis. Nothing drastic so if you are happy with the way it is, don't bother installing the Adonis files.

Can someone explain to me this?

VS

Is it the same dev that decided to put his free addon into a paid one?

Or is it someone who created a patreon, "edited" the open source version and sell another one?

The fact that both are 0.5 is very disturbing
Honestly I'm so confused about what the heck is going on with this bunch. I joined the Discord thinking it was part of the AC Track Tools that I had bought, only to find out its some guys add-on for that that shortcuts using ksEditor it seems. Fluffy is linking this AC Track Tools you are talking about here, which is done by Nendotools and seems to do different things to Tomas's AC Track Tools which is what I bought.

Meanwhile I see that someone is claiming that Fluffy has only taken Nendos's tools and added some AI stuff to it, which Fluffy doesn't deny under a GPL licence rule. It just feels in general like this Fluffy guy has hijacked everything to claim some Patreon bucks, seen as he's locked it behind a paywall.

When I tried to get some clarity this is what Tomas replied:

BruceDZA

So just so I understand, if I've previously bought Track_Tools Beta from Superhive, that will be irrelevant, or not updated now, and I need to get this rather?

  • Tomas

Nope. TrackTools are for building the track, this is for exporting it to Assetto Corsa. Both tools will be updated further.
So the way I understand it now, Tomas's AC Track Tools makes the tracks, and is quite good, Fluffy Garage has hijacked the whole scene and "made" a plugin which skips you needing to go through ksEditor. 🤷‍♂️

My hopes for 2026
CM/CSP:
  • Introducing the real bangers like the last DLSS4, FSR4, XeSS who knows DirectX12 ultimate.
  • Make the whole CM spaghetti overview on settings more logical. See Simhub as a sample, not needed can be removed. Like the G27/G29 or Fanatech, if using something different. Same settings at one tab and not spreading over 3 tabs. If you select VR mode then your not getting to see the Triple screen only settings.
Modders:
  • Hide your pride and ask/listen to advices. Try to cooperate.
  • Do not abandon your mods of a certain age, but maintain them as skills are also evolving.
  • Give permission if a better modder can improve it, or change it to another period of time.
  • Use the latest development techniques, beam-switches/pedals/gears should be moving. Tracks are not silent and avoid dynamic objects that are static implemented, like a Ferris wheel is during an race is always turning with the light on. Btw there is always crowd around tracks during a race.
Users:
Always give your honest opinion about mods and also give examples on what is good/bad. You will not help a modder with hallelujah’s while it mod is containing faults. I know there are always the usual modders groupies/fanboy’s who then trying to troll you! But I guess here you not been thrown out of a window, been poisoned or sent to the Gulag.

GTplanet members:
I do not care about personal insults or being trolled, did see a couple of entering the hate zone here. Please before counter attacking, keep in your mind there is always a language barrier. People can write down that is sounding completely normal in their own language but can be very rude in the English language. Luckily we have the pm to ask in a respectful writing for the explanation and correction.

Personal:
  • My 7y old i9-9900ks PC, does not have any problems with AC, only looking at the RAM prices I do hope it will holt another few years.
  • If all my Linux compatibility issues are solved, I do hope I can make the move to Linux-VR.
  • Release of the Oculus 4 my old PCVR hs is becoming old.

Hey guys, been way too long in the F1 loop. Haven't driven much else (besides LMU and ACR when they were lauchned). I hotlapped road/GT cars in AC for years before that though but now I don't have any updated cars. is there a good AC mod of Max Verstappen's car that he did this Nordschleife lap with? This video inspired me to drive good old Green Hell again and EVO and ACC don't drive as good as AC.

Thanks for suggestions.

rss gt3 mods or urd depending on the preference

Each skin ext_config references the path "urd/configs/coyote/<whatever.ini>".

Full and correct path is steamapps/common/assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/urd/configs/coyote/.

Solution 1: If you already have the folder "steamapps/common/assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/urd" from a previous URD car, then extract the "configs" folder from the download zip/rar into it. This should result in steamapps/common/assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/urd/configs/coyote/.

Solution 2: If this is your first URD car, then extract the "urd" folder from the download zip/rar to steamapps/common/assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/.

Solution 3: (my problem) When I extracted the file from the download zip/rar, I installed only the "coyote" folder to the path steamapps/common/assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/urd because I already had the urd folder from another URD car. My OCD didn't think another "config" folder was necessary. This resulted in the wrong path steamapps/common/assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/urd/coyote/. Notice the "configs" folder is missing between "urd" and "coyote". I created the "configs" folder and moved the coyote folder into it. Hope that makes sense.
Great! Thanks for the help :)

As we head to 2026, 60 years after it's debut, we now have the 1966 Ferrari 330 P3 in Assetto Corsa. View attachment 1502918

Fully scratch-made model by Nugget & NPanic, based on historical photographs to ensure it meets the AAA standard we now strive (and achieve) for our historic mods. Car is modular too, with winglets that can be enabled/disabled, each impacting the physics.

Probably one of the best looking cars ever, and definitely one of our best 3D models so far!!

Interesting question, thank you @Masscot, interesting read from those who replied.
what am I going to do differently with AC and playing the SIM in my library in 2026?
Maybe more of doing the same than really changing anything, as, after all, this VR enthusiast retiree pretend driver is fairly happy with the present status.
My biggest move and more important move of 2025 was a major GPU upgrade, that will not change in 2026.
I have no intention of cutting off in my 4273 car collection, it matches my 975 track list. It is one aspect I love about playing AC. The quality range from better than anything else to not great, but since AC has, by far, the best VR than any other title, great or ordinary, driving all of my cars and tracks, feel amazing to me. Just being there, where ever that is, anywhere, any time, any season, any category, it is fantastic to be honest.
I am running 0.2.3-preview211 with SOL, no intention of changing that, I like to way it looks, best VR out there of any other title. I anticipate the same for 2026.
2025 brought some very, very disappointing new games from Kunos, with snail pace development, I am not expecting anything good from them in 2026, so I will keep playing AC most of the time.
I visited this thread daily in 2025, I intend to keep the habit in 2026.
I will keep an open mind, something not expected like Oasis, best software move pf 2025, might come along in 2026 and make my hobby better, if not, no problem, very happy with what I have.
Happy new year to all here.

Lovely. Another masterpiece. Looking forward to this one. May I ask about the status of the Shelby Daytona you announced a while ago?

New Year's Resolution for 2026:
- Get my garage down below 1,000 cars again, and stop keeping substandard cars that the modder himself obviously didn't even care enough about in the first place. My collection has somehow crept up to over 2,100 cars, many of which I'll never drive again. Cull with brutality.

Sim racing hopes for 2026:
  • A CSP build without any significant annoyances, especially ones that were previously fixed and have inexplicably returned.
  • A CM update that finally fixes that friggin' bastard memory leak.
  • For all car modders everywhere to realise that glass is not supposed to cast shadows.

Yours?
Mine are simple:

-- For Ilja to go back to his original grass_fx shader style from older CSP versions.
-- For me to figure out why every CSP version beyond what I use causes such drastic drops in fps in a full field of cars.

If those two things happen, then I can finally update my old CSP version.

Interesting. What version are you using. Cheers.

Which Autodrom Chayka version is the best ? I've got the one on RD but my god the performance is all over the place...
The ones I ended up keeping were

Failworx reworked by DaBaeda

and
SimBin modified by Andkorot (has 3 layouts)

Both nice and perform well for me but could do with ext_config updates for rain and lights

I use CSP1.80preview9. Anything beyond that and it's stutter city with a full field. Makes no sense and i've tried everything to fix it. I've reset all my CSP settings, I tried a fresh AC installation without mods, driver updates, clean windows installation, etc. and nothing works. Some have suggested that it might be my system, but if that was the case, why does older CSP versions work fine. If it was my system, I think any CSP version would struggle. Plus, all my other games run perfectly so that shoots that theory out of the water.

Do not fix what isn't broken! I only do the update if there is something wrong that I can not explain.
For the rest I can only thank the first adopters who are using the newest and are facing al kinds of unexpected problems.

Here are the links to two more cars that have been tested and adapted.

MIRAGE M9-REnault and FERRARI 512BB/78

Mirage M9 - Renault and Ferrari 512BB/78Always remember, these are just adaptations.

The Mirage was based on the Alpine (by Legion + Mirage Gr8 (adapted)).

The Ferrari is an adapted model (from a 288 gto).In both cars, adaptations (power/torque) were made to get close to the performance of the time.In the Mirage, you can choose to drive (with the driver of your choice).

The original model from (driver3d) is (driver_70_fe), but it is also included for (driver_70) standard.

In the Ferrari, only (driver_70) standard.
The Ferrari skins, number 85 and 87 (I adapted them as much as possible), the model (number 89) was already present on the 288 GTO, the one (number 88) was the one I adjusted.

The other models are still being tested:

WMP 77/78 Peugeot, Porsche 936....

Note: For best performance, the Mirage needs the turbo buttons (increase/decrease) to be activated.
