Did test the RT_Daytona, I have only the oval, but that is running great here. What version do you have because I have noticed two revision numbers.
I don't know. I might get on tomorrow night to check it out but if I don't it will be the weekend before I can.

I had exactly the same issue but in VR where it ran half res. either in full screen or out, cant remember which way round. On latest csp .3.0.212 now and issue is gone completely.
Might try updating my csp version as a last resort.

If you're using CM/CSP, try turning off "New AI behavior" and see if it persists.
Tried, made no difference unfortunately.

Running CSP I assume? There’s an option under DXGI in CSP called "true borderless". have you tried that?
Seems possibility in getting rid of stutters and tearing. Also, try disabling Game Bar.
I have enabled true borderless and disabled game bar (had it disabled since quite a while) and the choppiness is still there.

Funnily enough, as I said in my first post, it goes away if I get in full-screen mode, so that's a bandaid for now :D

The RT_Daytona track is one that I've had for quite a long time now. Once I hit these errors I thought I would try to delete the track and reload it then try the extension again. But I got the errors again. I don't think the track itself is the problem. But I'm not as smart as you guys are when it comes to files, folders, codes, and such.
Give Johnr777's version a go. You can download it for free or donate a small amount for time and effort - which i did because his work is FANTASTIC.

Hello everyone, I’m having a really annoying stuttering issue in Assetto Corsa, and I’m seemingly out of ideas. It seems to happen only in Assetto Corsa, as my other games (sometimes even more taxing than AC) run perfectly fine. What’s strange is that the stuttering completely disappears when I enable exclusive fullscreen via ALT + ENTER.

However, this creates another issue: when I’m in exclusive fullscreen and I alt-tab, I get a black screen for 1 or 2 seconds. Additionally, when I return to the game, Assetto Corsa switches back to borderless fullscreen (I think that's what it is), and the stuttering comes back immediately.

I fiddled with video settings and even went as far as formatting Windows, but the problem is still there. It happens both with modded and Kunos tracks/cars, so it doesn’t seem to be mod-related.

At this point I’m not sure if this is a Windows issue, a fullscreen/borderless problem, or something specific to Assetto Corsa’s engine.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Am I just stuck with exclusive fullscreen? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
try pasting this in Gemini and you will get instant suggestions for extra things to try!
Pro tip : in Gemini you can make a "Gem" with prompt "you are an expert PC tech guru who always helps me too the point and thoroughly, based on my pc specs which are: Motherboard:..., CPU:... , GPU:..., GPU driver version : ... RAM: ... , OS version: ... ,Monitor: ... , Headset: Quest3 (via Virtual Desktop), Content Manager v... , CSP v ... "

That way you get tailored response based on your specific system and needs!
This GEM you can then always reuse later for other questions or issues you have with your pc.
Good luck!

I don't know what this is supposed to mean, frankly.

Anyways, It seems I've managed to fix my issue: I checked off the fullscreen option in CM's Video Settings, set the resolution as "Custom" (earlier it was set to one of the preset options) and it seems to behave just fine now. Posting this as an heads up for anyone who might have the same issue as I had.

Absolutely Beautiful Work! Thanks Ever So Much for this Future of Nostalgia from the Gran Turismo Series!!

Logically, both, because some models don't exist, like the M4 at RSS.
When I ask this, it's mainly for the 296 and the Mustang, which can be found at Chemmflumi, LP Design (Mustang), RSS, and URD.
Well as somebody who plays around with a lot of GT3 mods, especially fictional ones and bad ones, I can give my opinion just because I like sharing my "research". Ultimately it's personal preference but if you haven't tried any of them I can try and provide some insight.

LP mods are decent cars and fine grid fillers, but with all the alternatives available there isn't much reason to use the LP Mustang anymore.

The Chemflummi 296 is honestly pretty good, and I still use it because I just can't let my fictive skins go, and I don't actually prefer the RSS or URD over it, probably because I first drove it back when the URD 296 had worse physics, and then when the RSS released it didn't wow me enough to ditch the CF car.

The URD 296 is what I consider to be an "old" URD car in the sense that it's before their EPS and cphys stuff, their "new" gen cars being the Vantage Evo, Mustang, M4 Evo, and upcoming V2 version of the 296. Their current 296 actually drives fine ever since it got an update in late 2024 alongside the other URD GT3 cars, but I don't think it's really worth using over the CF 296. The Mustang however, especially if you have a direct drive base that can benefit from the EPS system that it can utilize, is outright amazing. The new URD GT3s with EPS I think are the best GT3 cars in sim racing right now. So that being said, I have very high hopes for the updated V2 version of the 296 that should be releasing soon, and that will probably be what gets me to retire the CF finally.

The RSS 296 and Mustang are both good cars, though I find them not as engaging as the cphys URD cars generally. I find they both look and drive well, and if you want to use mods all from one studio, then RSS is probably the one to go with as they have the most complete catalogue of GT3 cars, and afaik still plan on doing all of them. (Even the Bentley and Nissan!)

I think the newer URD GT3 cars with EPS enabled are the best GT3 cars in sim racing, so personally I would use the Chemflummi 296 while waiting for the V2 URD 296, and then grab that one as well as the URD Mustang. However, if you have all the other RSS cars already or want to do competitive ai racing without having to BoP things yourself, then grabbing the RSS cars may be a better option for you. Personally I have all of them, and I do switch between them occasionally, but the URD Mustang is the GT3 car I spend the most time with in Assetto.

now we only need someone to convert the Beetle Gr.3 from GT :cheers:
I think I may have downloaded the raw model rip of that at some point? I can dig for it if anybody is interested in it, though I know nothing about porting GT models to Assetto so beyond giving you the model (If I do actually have it) I can't help.

There are so many amazing tracks in the Gran Turismo series that I am so grateful for allowing them to be used in Assetto Corsa, thanks so much also because the quality is top notch!!

A nice thing, I read the forum with the translator, every time I find a post of yours with a new track, it starts with "Nobody wanted me to post this" but Nobody not intended as a nickname, but as if there was someone who doesn't want you to port,and I always wondered who doesn't want???
I don't know if I made myself clear.. 😅

Yep always funny that “Nobody wanted me to post this”.

Fully agree with your findings (have URD, VRC, RSS). Lately I also came across GT3's by both ACF (AF Friends) and BCRC.
Are those any good? Does anyone use those (may be as grid fillers)? Or all to be neglegted?

I don't understand content manager / CSP.
The last time I wanted to play AC, I started a Le Mans race with most of the RSS/VRC/URD LMDH cars to have a WEC grid, impossible to start a race, I had a crash message (difficult to understand what is the issue), and I tried several times ... So rage quit ... And today I try another time and any issue ... I try another grid with the last GT3 ... No issue ... And I havn't modify anything between ...

Most issues tied to content manager/CSP that resolves itself with no user actions can be resumed in 2 scenarios

1 Solar flare flipped a bit on your CPU

2 Hard drive is starting to feel weak, and AC/CM/CSP is very VERY sensible to this

Game crashed at loading, and with a new computer with a 9800x3d and a SSD nvme 970 pro I don't think it's a hardware issue ...

More baby steps thanks to a lot of help and patience from @shi and @leBluem . I finally got a nice blended grass\sand edge on the new sand placement for 2025. I'm going to try and extend the kerb coming out of Ascari because I see it's longer now. The other kerbs will most likely stay like they are even if they are not correct. Like I said before, this is not going to be a perfectly accurate representation of Monza in 2025. I just want something that resembles it a little.

Resume, it always crashing when using LMDH RSS/UDC/VRC cars at the Le Mans track, but never when you exchanged the cars by an alternative. So this indicates it’s not hardware nor driver related. Is this the same LM track, same amount of cars???

Despite its a bit fuzzy for me you can try:
  • Determine which car range is bringing problems. First use RRS only, then URD only then VRC only, but keep the amount of cars the same or better to the grid max.
  • Determine is it the LM track! Open the Breathe tracklist and get another LM track, maybe the track is corrupt.
  • Avoid all those apps/tracks that brings you an alternative starting position like rolling start or set the start row in a typical vintage LM start, disable these, its a source of problems.
BTW are you sure you do not have an heat issue, like an SSD without heatsink. Maybe your PSU is to low on watts!

When I want to check if using "?" on a mesh or material name is applied only on the ones I want, I use this simple trick.
I add these lines to the extconfig.ini to light them up:

[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE=1
DESCRIPTION= Purple glow
MATERIALS =
MESHES =
PROP_...=ksEmissive, 255,0,255

Then I write one of the meshes or materials name I want to edit. Shorten it and add "?" at the end. Check the result on the track.

For example, let say that one of the meshes I want to edit is named "light_SUB0_001"
I try with:
MESHES = light_SUB? (or light?)

The meshes beginning with "light_SUB" will glow in purple (very easy to see)
Now lets say a mesh named "light_SUB1" glows in purple, but which I don't want to be edited.

Then I try with:
MESHES = light_SUB0?
.... and soo on

It was like that with me too. Then I simply updated my GPU's driver, it improved a lot.
And I replaced my RAM, which was 100% functional, but obviously not entirely compatible with my mainboard. Solved all kinds of issues, both with CM/CSP and other random stuff like the monitor not turning itself back on after sleep mode, pc freezing when trying to restart etc.

I would stay away from BCRC because they all share identical physics. For all the fictional cars he has, I just use the original versions of the mods that he modified. On the topic of BCRC, if you're considering his V8 Supercars mod, I would recommend going to AKRacing and grabbing theirs instead. ACF cars I actually don't have too much experience with because I didn't feel like jumping through hoops to get access to their downloads. I've had one or two (probably outdated) versions of their cars here and there that I got from actk or assettoworld or what have you, and I don't recall anything about them that glaringly bothered me, but there's not much reason to use them when you have options from RSS and URD. Maybe someday I'll do a bootleg pack where I upload a collection of improved versions of the fictional cars BCRC has, plus some others just to be spiteful. I have been having some occasional fun with using engine crane to put automation engines into GT3 cars and prototype mules. I even have a little google doc with all the bad ideas I want to try.
