I have a question for everyone who makes mods: why doesn't anyone try to convert the Raceroom cars? They're good quality, and besides, they have series there that are obsolete here, like the WTCC for example. Plus, the sound of the cars isn't too bad there.

Maybe it's impossible to convert them, or maybe nobody has honestly thought of it.

That's what people used to do, They saw mods they couldn't get access to and went out of their way to port the same model to the game they were playing and then sent it out for free as an middle finger to those that were charging.

But now people just sit around hoping that someone will do chargeback fraud and then share it to the rest of us for free.

If you're referring to my TVR, the link is this. It's a bit cheesy and made of dreams and hopes, but it's there. I've also done the z3m and the Ford GT Matech GT1 in collaboration with Chemflummi. I planned to recreate the 350z NGT but I quitted modding.😓

It's been a little complicated with this specific one. Did you make sure you followed the steps in the Bazza's pdf ? download the gadu version first then install its gtc60 counterpart. I think i avoided CM installation and went straight for copy pasting from the zips.

It's one of those cars you cannot fiddle with its acd or it will end up broken. I had issues as well on installation because i had a previous version before getting the gtc60 update, ended up with 3 different versions and couldn't figure which one was working. Deleting everyone and starting fresh fixed it. Give it a try

Btw if anyone managed to get rid of its contact/ignition state at start let me know. Pushing the alt+7 then alt +8 at start is obviously something i forget about 50% of the time.

If you consider the triangle pine always associated with the brand it seems spot on.

Yes, both of them. The Ford GT Matech is fully complete, but the z3m needs a lot of work physics wise. My other projects are the 350z (as I said in the previous post), the F430 GT2 and the 695 Abarth. Since I quitted modding, these mods can be modified as the community want.

Who knows, maybe one day it will happen. 👀 It's mostly a lot of work, and I don't have the time anymore. Project Motor Racing will fill some gaps in terms of 3D models for sure. The problem is that some models, like the 350Z, are still missing. If you're interested, I'll gladly give it to you. Seeing the great work done with the Saleen, it'll surely be in good hands.

First of all, thank you very much for your effort. But why don't you make your life easier and use AC EVO’s Monza as a reference? Most likely Kunos modeled the circuit reliably.

I got an EVO picture from @Vernonfs that i'm currently using as a reference. Compared to the videos i've been watching, the EVO version isn't quite accurate either, but at least it does give me a sense of kerb width.

On another note, does anyone know which cars are wider in real life, an F1 car or a GT3 car? Reason I ask is that the kerbs in Ascari look super wide in the F1 2025 video compared to the 2025 GT World Challenge video. I was thinking it might be a perspective thing because the F1 cars are not as wide as the GT3s. If not, i'm amazed at how wide they look in the F1 race.

I don't recall exactly what I did, but I believe I went into that car's ext_config and deleted a section that loads a .lua file. Obviously not the one calling for sound.lua. If that doesn't work I can redownload the clean files and compare and contrast and reverse engineer what I actually did.

In other news, just me screwing around trying to learn stuff, I've been messing with the Roborace car and kind of intend on turning it into a fake LMH just to fill grids for some variety. The car has no shaders on it but the materials it came with were no good anyway (Only had albedo map) so I'm probably going to experiment and just set these all up myself and see what I can do. I transplanted the brakes and tires from the URD Glick onto it, and the wheels are from MaxSTDT's amazing wheelpack, which I have gotten great mileage out of so far, love seeing gubbins released. I probably can't release this thing once I finish it nor does anybody probably care, but since we're on the topic of "Just learn to do things yourself" I figured I would share what I'm up to.

Nah, I still haven't gotten around to learning how to actually get mods into AC lol! I can mess about in blender and move things around but that's about it. Nuvo did everything on the Saleen all i did was pay him for his work If i knew someone willing to scratch make the interior and possibly do some touch ups on the model i would not be against it, but don't know anyone like that. Nuvo only make scratch made stuff completely.

Suppose the whole decryption stuff just says a lot about a person's morals? Encrypting unchanged ported models is naturally scummy, but there are also plenty of creators that rework models to fit the game properly, creators that make entire cars from scratch, just from a place of passion for the car/sim. To see all that work essentially get ripped and reposted everywhere just flat out sucks.

Our Chaparral 2D's were projects that took many months to complete in our spare time, fully scratch made models, fully researched from every angle possible (the one surviving 2D is a repurposed 2F and not accurate to the original) so we had the most true to 1966/1967 versions as possible. To then see it proudly decrypted on that frenchie's site was a massive punch in the gut for us all. What some people don't understand here, a scratch made model without encryption gets sold on 3D marketplaces without our consent. I've seen several of my cars on various 3D print sites getting sold for actual money. All of this truly scummy behaviour can be prevented with encryption.

Gadu did a lot of work on those old Forza models (honestly Forza's model quality is pure ass) so I understand why he chose to encrypt it. He also worked on our T33/2's, Dino 206's and T33. Mega talented creator and a good friend of mine. Sad to see him go!

Considering that the E46 only race in ALMS and like 2 years of the NLS/VLN and N24 series lets limit it to that 2000-2004

All these cars are very welcome, especially the Bugatti and Mosler, and I love fictionals so I'll definitely be grabbing that Audi too when you finish it up. By the way, what happened to the Greenwood Corvette, Nardo GT1, Type 89 GT1, and Mustang GTO? Those cars still being worked on? Saw those and some others on your patreon but I never saw them released in this thread or anywhere else.

I made a small update of DumbAI, adding a small race engineer in the main window of the app and refining pit stop strategies.

Here is a summary of the different bot strategies you may expect once you have set a default tyre compound (provided the car has enough different compounds :-) )
