This mean war, does anyone knows the original cars simdream used for the 1990 cars? Will be fighting fire with fire, and also take down some of their video until they learn that bullying their way out of creators when they sell content they don't own won't be tolerated much longer

I also have a bone to pick with SimDream after they stole some of my content for their IndyCar mod. I’d be happy to join the fight.

I was trying some scripts on the Kunos Alfa Romeo Mito and I noticed something...weird. In all these years I've never noticed the badly mapped dashboard and a hole in the backseats 🤔

Let's hope that someone with good will and the right skills can solve this problem😓

@Vintagedriver yes, that could explain why the headlights could turn on with these weather conditions, but I set clear/sunny weather on Pure Planner. Headlights should not turn on in that situation.View attachment 1530262

If you use Pure, there are some more triggers in Pure Config app AI tab. Maybe just have a look there.

Also it is possible to override the headlights state in the photo mode app!

TotalVeno fixed the age old bug in the Assetto Leaderboards.

You know the one when a car overtakes another car it didn't correctly update the driver name to the driver comparison layout graphics. All good now and it works perfectly.

I just uploaded fixed leaderboards for all my classic F1 seasons.

That was one annoying bug which affected all leaderboards (modern and old). Now fixed for good.

They don't learn, do they? Last time they attacked a streamer and it ended in big tears for them and basically had to reinvent themselves and claim everything that was stolen was removed. We're now like 2 years later and they're back to their nonsense again.

I seem to remember the last Forza Motorsport had a couple of good fictional tracks too, from the very short time I spent with it.

Yeah, Hakone and Grand Oak from the last Forza actually turned out to be really good tracks for racing, even if they didn't look like much when they were first shown off. As someone who has shifted from Forza to PC and AC, it would be cool to get them, along with Sunset Peninsula, an old Forza Motorsport 1 track that was remastered for Forza Motorsport 8.

Would love some of the other old Forza Motorsport 1 tracks to be recreated too, although they would obviously need a lot more work to bring up to graphical standards. Tokyo, Rio, and particularly Alpine Ring were all pretty cool.

Another weird kinda random fictional one I liked was Hungary Speedway from that FIA European Truck Racing game. I expected it to be unlicensed Hungaroring, but it was totally different. Pretty cool track, fairly realistic with quite a lot of elevation.

Our group of Forza converts are in our first league season on AC on PC and we just ran Aviano Short on Tuesday, and it was very well suited to our little Abarth 500 Rookie Cup cars. Great work on it, it's a very high quality track and we are looking forward to revisiting some of the other layouts with some faster cars as we progress through the seasons.

they learned from their mistake. Instead of targeting big names like simracing604, they decided to go against youtube channels with hundreds of subscriber. Less risk to get noticed. And they play big bullies with very menacing words to convince people to stop.

But ok no worries, we are going to play by the rules they set.

Sunset Peninsula from (FM3, I think) was ported to AC, but quality wasn't great.
Not sure what the full roster of fictional FM -> AC tracks is, but Rio, Maple Valley, Prague, and Camino Viejo have all been done to a high quality. I've probably forgotten a few more.

His "updated tires" are just replacing them with other people's tires or using the tire creator provided by ilja of which it just pulls a bunch of tire data from cars in your library and calls it an day, You can use it to generate completely new ones but it's complete crap.

I wish the tire machine didn't suck because in a perfect world I would like to put all of the whacky fictional GT3 cars on identical tires to the RSS or Chemflummi cars to make balancing a little easier but it kinda just doesn't work. Also, care to elaborate on VAO not being needed? I'm not doubting you, I just want to hear the explanation, cause I did bother with generating VAO for a couple cars before and while it does make a little bit of difference I noticed most cars from reputable modders don't have it.

I really should get around to reducing the poly count on the McLaren LMDh and releasing that publicly just to bother them. The original artist of the model told them they can't use it for that (though I think the license he sold it under says otherwise) so there's that aspect too.

I've seen that, and it's literally all just third worlders and children decrypting patreon drift cars and street cars. I think ACTK is the only one who cars about decrypting anything else.

Car-specific FMOD issue or a new general CSP bug?
Weird that it affects some cars but not others.

did you try to replace the sound of that car with a "working" one?
This would rule out the possibility that the problem lies with the sound files themselves.

It's definitely the audio files (swapping for a known working one fixes the issue), but I'm wondering if the audio was always clipping in med/large grids for these 'broken' cars, or whether it's a new CSP bug if Ilja's been tweaking how audio is processed.
Can't see anything in the CSP audio options, but I'm sure there used to be an option to limit audio on large grids. Maybe that option is now hidden and defaults to 'off', whereas it should actually be 'on' to avoid the distortion. shrugs

XYZ repositioning to fix the floating LCD digits on Tommy78's Audi V8 Quattro Evo DTM dashboard.
Remove the .txt extension, unpack the data, swap in the file replacing the original digital_instruments.ini, repack the data, delete the data folder.

Because it's something you make when making the mod, If you know how to mod you just make the VAO inside of blender / 3D Max and apply it. It's pointless to add to most cars atm since CSP does the same job.

I've tested a complete field with over 30 cars of GT4s from Guerilla Mods and I have sound problems with the standard value 25 for limit audio. If I change it to 10, the sound problems are gone. I use the value 10 for a long time now, as this problem isn't new and caused by cars with too many sound channels (over 100).

To minimize the sound problems, you should also check the file audio_engine.ini in "assettocorsa\system\cfg" and change MAX_CHANNELS=256 to MAX_CHANNELS=512

Thanks, that was the setting I was searching for. I was looking unsuccessfully in the 'audio' section for it, forgetting that logical thought should not be applied when navigating the CSP user interface.
'10' does seem to be the magic number for eliminating the crackling from big fields of the GT4 cars. Thanks again.

Hey @Peter Boese or anyone, any guidance on why when I change to overcast, the windows go very silvery like the pics? I am using LCS, pure candy. Perfect in sunshine and any other condition. Any help appreciated
