BLACKBOLT's Lightweight Release: Lotus Exige V6 Cup & Dallara Stradale

I'm back to AC modding! I noticed a lack of high-quality versions for a couple of my favorite cars, so I decided to make them myself and share them with the community. No locked-down nonsense, just good cars to drive.

What's inside:
  • Lotus Exige V6 Cup: The original Kunos model is legendary but visually dated. I updated the interior with proper AO maps and a working digital dash using newer-gen models (AC Evo) to bring it up to modern CSP standards.
  • Dallara Stradale (Standard + Barchetta): The older mods for this forgotten gem had terrible interiors with holes and missing meshes. I rebuilt it with a proper, high-quality 3D model so you can actually enjoy the cockpit view.
Check the link below for all the features, physics details, and the download link. Have fun out there!

I'm really enjoying what you've done with the Dallara blackbolt2017. Big thanks for that!

Haven't tried the Exige yet, but I expect it will also be great.

I think that stuff is stored in the Progress folder.
thanks but does someone also maybe knows how i can the .data files and i dont wanna delete my whole profile. only the driven distances and the high speeds i did with my "collection"

Car is visually all done. CSP functions, shaders, refraction, animated wiper, lods, etc. Added some 3d parts that were missing.

Exept physic which I can't make. For now it has copy over engine, sound and physic from kunos which I treated as a temporary placeholder.

If anyone has the will to do it or knowledge, please contact me. Otherwise I will just post car in a few days as is.

Nice job. Very good looking. If You are not in a hurry i may help with physics. I think You can release it with place holder data, and i will make shure that aw will make an physics update later on.

I hope someone can help me. I added refracting headlights and other shaders to the kunos mazda rx7 spirit R. When I close the game and launch another session, the refracting headlights stops working until I rename the script from:

[REFRACTING_HEADLIGHTS_0]

to

[REFRACTING_HEADLIGHTS_...]

and back to

[REFRACTING_HEADLIGHTS_0]

I'm a noob with light refraction but this never happened to me. As you can see, the headlights works basically.

Hi. I never had such glitch. But this may be priority issue, like there is another code for refraction somewhere.

The car doesn't have an extension folder, so I create a brand new ext_config.ini and the only coded refracting headlights is this one. Maybe there is something elsewhere because the car has turnsignals, reverse light ecc...

Yes, there is csp downloaded extension. It is in AC/extension/config/cars... If I remember correctly.

Hey man, the Alfa 75 is looking amazing! Always happy to see more Alfas coming to the game.

I actually have a quick question for you regarding your 3D workflow, specifically about the LODs. I'm currently working on a couple of AC EVO ports myself (a WIP Giulia GTAm and an Alpine A110S), and generating LODs is the main thing holding me back from finishing them up.

I noticed you mentioned your LODs are all sorted, how exactly do you go about making yours? Are you manually doing them from scratch, using a standalone LODs program, or is there some magic Blender plugin you're using to generate them?

Any tips or workflow advice would be a massive help. Good luck finding a physics guy for the 75, really looking forward to the release!

Benchmark testing to see the gaps between classes:

PtaK7V2.png

The F40 has since been corrected as I accidentally gave it too much downforce which caused it to handle much better than the rest of it's class. The F50 GT and R-GT have also been made slightly faster since then too. The Panoz GTR-1 is very competitive now but it seems like the AI thinks the car is abit shorter than it is because the front overhang sometimes clips walls on tight turns which causes the AI to spin out, so I will try to fix that if possible.

Custom planned championships update

For some of the classes I will do much like PGR4 and have "Invitational" events to introduce you to faster classes, not all classes will have this but a few will.

All of the classes with the exception of D and E class are finished, I will eventually do F class but not G due to the very limited number of cars in the class. I have to tweak the XJ220 for B class and if I cannot fix the issue with the Zonda then I sadly will not include it for B class.

For D class only the Diablo VT 6.0 is done and for E class only the Supra is done at the moment so that's atleast 15 more cars to do for each class.

The previous released cars are all updated for A class as they are now much faster than previous, this was done in order to widen the performance gap and because quite a few cars in the class needed major corrections and are now much closer to how they were in PGR, which basically means that some will be noticeably faster or slower than others, while for I would say 90% of the classes it depends on the track and grid placement. So in other words, any of the cars used will have a fair chance at any of the races, minus the DBR9 due to it being extremely slow but during testing it can make podium on twistier circuits though it will be a challenge.
Where did you get that BMW M1 Procar? It doesn't seem to be in the cars google sheet.

So far I've done a dozen of conversion but never bothered to make LODs because I kept them private. This mod is first which I want to publish so I had to make LODs.

I simply used CM build-in LOD generator in Content tab, I think it is sufficient, but you need to install Polygon Cruncher.

But I heard that actk can make LODs for you;)

Ah, gotcha! CM built-in generator + Polygon Cruncher makes a lot of sense. That's a nice and easy way to do it.

And yeah, having ACTK handle the LODs is super convenient too! I was honestly just really curious about what specific program or workflow you went with for this one since they came out looking so good. Thanks for the tip, and good luck with the rest of the 75!

Fantastic work with your recent releases. So glad we have a proper A110S. I really like how your cars drive. Dallara Stradale is a lot of fun. Please consider making Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo 2. There are some in the wild but none is good.

Thanks so much man! Really glad to hear you're enjoying the A110S and the Dallara. Always awesome to hear that people are having fun with how the cars drive.

Regarding the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo 2, honestly, I'll probably have to pass on that one. I'm just not really in a 'race car' mood these days. The main reason is that the modding scene for GT3s and one-make race cars is just insanely competitive right now. There are a million 'high quality' paid mods scattered all over the place, and trying to compete in that specific space is just a headache I don't really want.

Right now, I’m perfectly happy just sticking to my specific niche: lightweight, track-focused road cars. They're just way more fun for me to build and drive. Really appreciate the suggestion and the support, though!
