Is CSP preview generation working for you in this build?
Mine hangs on the 'Launching Assetto Corsa in the background' pop-up.
Seems to affect all cars that I've tried at random.
Doesn't matter if I'm trying to apply a custom preview or the standard Kunos one, either to individual skins or all of them at once... it just hangs and goes nowhere.
I can hear my PC start working at it (fans speed up etc) but nothing happens.

Dang. Going to have to keep the pressure on him.
I'll refrain from updating, then. Again.
Whatever his testing procedure is, it's not good enough. Especially for the kind of money he's making.
Hate to say it, but like with "modern" video games outside of this niche, the only way things will change is if people stop giving him his monthly pittance of $400K. Not sure that's going to happen.
I paid 50 cents just for this month and I'm getting my money's worth in entertainment (

) - but as always, I immediately unsubscribed. I've only paid in one other time in 2026 and was disappointed then, too.
While I for sure distance myself considerably from the rant further up this page, I certainly understand and empathize with the frustration behind it. I expected major improvements to the sim this calendar year and to put it very frankly, it has not really happened.
DLSS is great, especially considering it looks like PC upgrades will be unobtainable for years, but it still has a lot of rendering issues that need to be sorted. A good start, though - and at its best, 4K DLSS Quality can indeed look a lot like native 4K, at almost a 30-35% performance increase.
That's pretty much it in terms of meaningful upgrades (sorry Peter, as I said in my YouTube comment, I don't consider volumetric clouds a substantive improvement for the sim, considering how poor the wet-weather physics are and have been for many years). And in many cases, there have been some serious regressions - as has been very recently detailed.
I stopped my AI work indefinitely many, many months ago now because with the AI crapping out for no reason at all, it simply wasn't worth the time and effort. Whether it be flying off of high-speed corners despite meticulously made sidelines and fastlane, being 5 seconds a lap or more slower due to dawdling in low-speed corners, or just flat-out stopping in the middle of the straight for no reason at all (the fastlane obviously does not tell it to do this), my recording and tweaking processes for making AI reworks have been worthless since ~0.2.11 or so. There's at least a half-dozen more minor ones I'm not even mentioning here, but you get the point.
AI lines are as fragile as a bubble, and it's not worth my time to spend a few hours getting a nice line, working the sidelines, and dialing in the right parameters via in-race tweaks to get something raceable if the damn thing isn't going to work.
Which again, is a shame. Because my vision of AC is the ultimate simulation - irremovable from one's hard drive - due to its limitless single-player potential. If only the AI were mediocre - ~F1 2010 Codemasters level - around every track, it'd be indomitable. I suppose the neglect of this area is due to most simply prefer hotlapping or Shutoko or whatever.
