I got the game yesterday. I haven't played it much, since I can't play online when my bro is on, since we're sharing the CDkey. He plays online a lot.

I don't really have an opinion, yet. My brother says that it is good, but he thinks the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 is much better. He says BF2 isn't balanced well. The graphics are freaking amazing, though. I need to play the game more to give you better feedback.

Yeah i love hiding in bushes and between buildings when i see a vehicle coming and sprint out as it passes to throw charges on it. Very satisfying pressing the button and watching the fireworks.

Cool. I think i'm just gonna get a new graphics card, prob X850 or 6800GT (AGP) (the 9800Pro doesn't cut any more) and another gig of ram. BF2 could run better than it does, and CS: S would be nicer a tad faster. Can't afford a full system overhaul yet (mobo, cpu, SLI etc.), but hopefully that'll tide me over until the time comes

I sometimes just attach all of my c4s to a buggy and use it as a car bomb. Drive up right next to a bunch of enemy vehicles and set it off. Also I like to sneak up onto enemy bases and attach 2 c4s on a newly spawned transport helicopter and wait for them to board then detonate when they fly up.

I wish you could attach them to other people.

I had a game today, on the map from the demo saw a squad from the other team from my sniping spot. I shot one of them and a medic in the team brought him back to life and I kept shooting the same guy and the medic kept bringing him back to life. I got about 5 kills out of him, then I shot the medic too.

This game is really really fun, when you get into it. It's more fun when you don't die, though! I just got 3rd in a 40 player server, but the game disconnected me after the game was over, so I couldn't get a screenshot of my score.

I picked up the game last week after playing the demo for a couple days. The retail version has a LOT of bugs, random crashes, lockups, blank screens, there is a patch due out soon that should fix most problems..

When the game isn't busy crashing/lagging or when some noob isn't punishing you because they ran out in front of your tank and died, it's amazing. I have mostly been playing on small maps where the battles are intense, bullets are flying by, automatic rifles are echoing, artillery shells are screaming all around you, it's crazy!!

Another downfall though is the Ranking System. You receive your first weapon unlock at 1000 - 1500 Global Points. Now that might not sound like much, until you consider the average score is around 30-40 points per game. Your second unlock and rank-up is at 10,000 points.. insane to say the least.

I really want to upgrade my video card. I can run my GeForce 5200FX PCI 256MB of ram on BF2 at all low setting with VERRRRRRRRRRRRRY mininimal lag. Just a split second stop here and there, but i'm seriously not bothered by it.

Now no price limit, just find me the BEST PCI card please! NO PRICE LIMIT

Oh and I got second in a full game of 64 players, Gulf Of Oman. No screenshot since I have no idea what button is screen shot.

Favorite Weapons: Colt M4 w/ grenade launcher, M16 Sniper Rifle, and Jackhammer
Favorite Maps: Gulf of Oman, Daqing Oilfields, Strike At Karkand, Mashtuur City, and Shaquri Pennisula
Favorite Vehicle: Tank, Cobra(Apache for MEC and China team), F-35B(MIG for the MEC team[one with 5 bombs])
Favorite Kill: Was holding off Construction Site post wiht my squad(was special ops at the time) I layed some C4 on the ground. Formation was like this:

Anyway so two tanks came up and I typed "fire in the hole" for fun and hit the button and got a 4 kill in one blow.

With $600 you can get an nVidia 6800Ultra or an ATi X850 XT PE. Both very good cards 👍 I wouldn't advise getting a new computer, unless your old one really is accient. Fancy posting your stats up and letting us see?

EA released the first patch a couple days ago, I wonder when the other 30 will be released.. Anyway, the server issues and most of the lockups/crashing have been taken care of. (I said most, not all) It's amazing how much better a game is when you can play it!! sarcasm.

For reference, you don't need a $600 card or 4ghz chip to play this game. I'm on an old P4 2.4b @ 2.6 - 1 gig pc2700 - Radeon X800 Pro - in Singleplayer I have all of the settings on high, and medium for Multiplayer. The 1+ gig of RAM is key!!!

BF games have always been power hungrey, if you want to spend more then £600 on a Graphics Card or more then £2500 on upgrades then wait for UT2007.

Well I can safely say BF2 runs great on my effectively new PC (A64 Venice 3200+, GF 6800GT Gainward Golden Sample (I.e. Ultra speed, AGP raaawr!), MSI Neo 2 Plat NF3 mobo).

Running it on max with a couple of things lowered as I always play on busy servers, 1280 res and 2x AA.

I would be playing it now if it wasn't for the stupid patch ****-up, it annoys me as I got a load of awards and they haven't appeared on stat screen. I want my UK army gun

My fave kits are medic, anti-tank and special ops, others are fun too, engineers shotgun is always good for getting close and personal

It's gonna be an amazing addon, one of the most interesting i've heard for a game in ages. 👍

I think they removed Grappling hooks or ziplines from BF2 maybe they thought the add on pack deserves it more.
