The problem with the Skorpion is that it has NO POWER AT ALL. Coupled with a stupidly low clip size. I'll put almost a whole clip into someone from a distance and they won't die.

But yeah, I've fouind the Skorpion with ACOG pretty good, because it's insanely accurate with no re-coil, and with the ACOG Head-shots are pretty easy. Skorpion + ACOG + Double Tap = Win.

The M16 is good as well because it has quite a fast reload time as well, which is good for me because I reload after every kill out of habit.

The G3 is a pretty good and I think underrated gun too with you equipe Stopping Power, and you've got a fast finger trigger.

I have that habit to, but I've learnt to clear the immediate area before reloading, using a pistol if neccessary.

I do like the G3, but it's only a bit better then the M16 at range and alot worse up close.

Skorpion w/ ACOG was my favorite combo for HQ matches, I really don't know why, but I was really good with it.

From,
Chris.

I use the Skorpion with either a silencer or nothing at all, the RDS seems to increase recoil slightly and the ACOG is still dodgy sometimes at range. The irons aren't great on it but once used to them you can make cross map shots with it with ease (stopping power helps).

Double Tap won't help with the stupidly low clip size though! :scared: My favorite setup with the Skorpion is

Skorp wit da silencer & red tiger :D
Deagle

Bandolier (you only get like 80 bullets with an extremely high firing gun :odd:)
Sleight of Hand
Extreme Conditioning

Sleight of Hand is a godsend for this weapon, and I was surprised to not phail in close quarters without stopping powah. It's ideal for maps with lots of close and medium range fire, I had a 50+ kill Domination match at Broadcast with this setup. You can often lay down to reload in a tight spot with SoH. This Skorpion setup is pretty phail with

Juggernauts
Juggernauts with Last Stand   They go into last stand at the exact moment you need to reload :grumpy:
For groups of enemies, stick to one target before reloading
Aim for the head to maximize your small magazine (obvious advice I know )

Skorpian with double tap feels like the Lightning Gun in UT to me though. Which is uber cool.

I've moved from the AK to the M16 as well. I feel kind of bad, because i loved using the AK and being good with it when everyone hated it. But it's really hard to use outside of Hardcore. The M16 is just so bloody accurate.

I just did some number crunching, and I found over the last 1000 kills my ratio has been 1.71. Not bad :) For the next 500 kills I'm going to purely focus on KDR, just for the hell of it.

Oh, god, that is nothing. During my slump(I'm still not completely out of it), I had SERIES of games where I couldn't reach 10 kills(deaths, I easily double that!). :(

Last night I had like a 45 minute session where it would take at least 10 minutes to find a game of any description, and then when I got in the lag was so bad it was almost funny. Really strange.

I'm thinking about taking my PS3 to work now cause I'm racing my mate to level 55. He's 49 and I'm 44(?), so I've got some catching to do. But as I'm not too far away from Marksman III on a few guns (M16, R700 and something else) hopefully that'll help.

Headquarters'll help too, remember, Shipment is an easy place to get Multi-RPG, Multi-C4, Misery Loves Company, Martyrdom Veteran and TONS more, not to mention the weapon challenges themselves, and not to mention you can get 250 XP doing nothing, just make sure your moving or the game'll kick you, the last one is kind of douchebaggery but you get the idea.

Run-on sentence much?

I just went 31-4 on Countdown for my best match evar. So that helped a bit. I love countdown, I perform a lot better on the wide open maps than the smaller ones.

Though at one stage I got a 10 kill streak just picking off people on the top of one of those open silo things. I can't believe how stupid people are, I killed the same guy about 3 times, each time he just ran past and ignored me.

I think if you kill the same guy like 5 times in one match you get a challenge met as well. But yeah, play headquarters if you want xp. seriously, its not uncommon to get 450 xp without the bonus.

R700 + ACOG with digital camoflauge is one of the sexiest guns ever. Proudly i'm quite good at it too.

Maybe they just die when they see a gold AK on my back and me walking sideways like a crab and just shooting at 4 guys at the same time, so a random one gets a stray bullet. Also got 3 headshots with my .50 yesterday, all in 1 shot.

What do you guys think about Steady Aim on the Skorpian with ACOG, really needed?

Skorpion with double tap and red dot is a headshot machine. The only downside to the Skorpion is it's small mag.
I haven't really tried the Skorp with steady aim or ACOG, I use the silenced Uzi with Steady Aim, Double Tap, Stun.

I've just found Skropion with Bandolier + ACOG + Double Tap + Marty is a pretty freaking awesome combination as well. I was using steady aim but with double tap at close range it wasn't really needed. Using this combination I got 33-4 on Overgrown and a S&D match where I got 9 kills and 1100 points in one game. Score!

33-4 on overgrown with a weapon that has terrible range?? You must have been running around like crazy!!

I dig overgrown, again it's a pretty bag map so I generally go pretty well at it. I started just hanging around the Gas Station/Stone Bridge area, picking off people as they tried to run into the house/down the bridge, I got a few airstrikes which worked well because they were pretty noob and we had spread ourselves out so they kept respawning around the same area. Once I got the heli I ran around the long way to the barn on the other side but some prick got me with that mounted gun in the house.

I haven't found the range to be that terrible at all, maybe because I'm using double tap I'm getting more bullets out, but with the ACOG it's generally pretty accurate I find.

The range of the Skorpian is probably the best of all the Sub Machine guns. For example I can easily kill people on the 2nd floor of that middle building on Crash with it from the bottom spawn points.

Im still not sure what Sniper Rifel to use, some say ONLY bolt-actions, other's say Drag. Idk what to do... (No .50)

I only use the M40 and the R700. They generally kill in one shot anyway (Almost always with stopping power). If a target it moving, I find it harder to hit them with more than one shot because once you've shot you need to re-aim and by then they're probably moved out of sight. However, of the semi-auto's, if I had to pick one up it'd be the .50 the best

And nothing is cooler than a one-shot-kill with a bolt action (Especially the R700 which looks like sex).

The best ones are the M40A3 and the Dragunov. I prefer to use the M40 because I like to no scope a lot and it gives it a little bit more challenge. Plus, with the ACOG it's a 1 hit kill.
