Actually, correct me if I'm wrong (and I hope I am), but I don't think the game has any co-op at all.

You are correct, no co-op online or in the regular mode which kinda sucks but the online is probably the best part of the game, apart from "All Ghillied Up"

I don't know if I will be able to play much today guys, I saw Beerzgood on but I was with my buddy he wanted to do splitscreen. Ya and I have a ton of homework to do, physics assignment, study for chemistry test, the list goes on.👎

Yeah, All Ghillied Up and the AC-130 mission were awesome.

Anyway, I just made it to Lieutenant General and unlocked a bunch of other stuff. After I got my digital camo with my P90, I went like 34-7 and 38-9 and etc in a few rounds. It was crazy.
 
Ya I really like the P90, I first really started using it yesterday and in 4 matches got the 150 kill mark. You can really put up some great streaks with that gun.

Someone earlier asked if the camos do anything, no they do not do anything stats wise to your weapons, they just make them look a bit cooler than the generic black/brown colours.
 
I've got to give the P90 a serious try as soon as I unlock it again. I used just for a little while (never even got the RDS for it) and it seemed ok, but I was expecting faster kills due to the high fire-rate. Does the RDS make a big difference while using it?
Like I said, I only used it for a bit, I might change my opinion. :)
 
The RDS helps but its not like a necessity, I started off without it and was just as good. When I was using it I also had the Double Tap perk on and it is just amazing how fast the P90 fires with that perk, go through the whole round in seconds, pretty deadly too when you hold the trigger for one second and destroy your opponent with a barrage of bullets.

Just don't shoot the feet!

I used the MP5 today for the first time and I actually liked it. What do you guys think of it and how does it compare to the AK-74u?

MP5 can be good in close areas but I have found that it has terrible accuracy at a distance, it was the gun I actually started the game with and haven't really used it since I started with M4, M16 etc...
 
Yeah, I've used it for a team deathmatch in Vacant and it did pretty well, since almost the entire match took place in the halls and rooms.

AK > MP5. More power = better.
 
Ya I love vacant, the closequarters battles really help rack up the kills, sneaking up behind a group of enemies and cooking a grenade is a good way to get lots of kills.

I am hoping that in an update or download they give us a new map with like a lot of office building type firefights, where the building would have a bunch of different levels and rooms etc... I think it would be really fun, but then again you wouldn't really be able to use a helicopter or airstrike.

edit: oh yah the AK-74 is way better than the MP5, I would say its a no contest.

Nah... Gone a bit too far now. :p

To be honest, I didn't realise so many people here will be playing this type of game, let alone Call of Duty. I'll have to make sure if a similar game comes along in future I buy the PS3 version.

In the smaller maps I love the MP5 with RDS and the stopping power perk, while I totally agree that its useless at medium to long range, up close its a lovely little gun (unlike the G3 which looks cool but sucks big time).

Argh, the game freezes at the worst time ever. Oh well, I guess it was as good a time as any to stop playing. :indiff:
 
Freezing online? This game has only frozen once on me, while loading a splitscreen battle which was really weird.

This game is awesome, but that ghillie suit mission in paticular was very realistic looking. When the mission first started, I had to squint my eyes to see if I was maybe looking at a live video.
 
Ok, they really need to fix their invite system. Now I can't even connect to invites, it only says cannot connect to host. :grumpy:
 
Dude your preaching to the choir, they need to release an update fixing some of the major issues, mainly the invite/lobby system. If you want to play with someone it is better for them to start a party then once you have everyone in there go around to different games as a group.
 
That's right. If the invite is for the match, it won't last much. But if it's for the party, we can group on the lobby and search for matches to enter, as a group.

I got a few invites from some members today, but the only one that allowed me to join with someone was the party invite...


Guys, great matches today, it's surely a lot more fun teaming with fellow members. Too bad that Pako got thrown into the other team, that sucked. I was forced to kill him a couple of times, despite the fear of getting banninated... :lol:

I just tried a ACOG on my M60, and at medium range it feels awesome. 2 or 3 bullets on the torso and it's a kill.
But... on the long range (since that's what the ACOG's for), it plain sucks. Aren't we suppose to aim the upper corner of the red thing where we want to hit? I find myself missing the shots even though the aim's 'correct'. Help?... :dunce:
 
Ya but you have to remember that even though range increases with the ACOG the accuracy takes a big hit and you are already talking about the M60 so it isn't exactly a sniper rifle.

With the ACOG you see the guy clearly, aim to whatever part of the body you like, and half the bullets don't touch him, even if he's standing still...
 
Can someone explain to me why an ACOG makes the accuracy go down??

The ACOG just allows you to more accurately miss your target. :)
 
I presume the scope is rather heavy as well, so it would become a little harder to aim.

I believe Pako said it best, it's really more accurate when we miss the shots.
But I'm happy, it means everyone thinks the same and it's not just me thats using it wrong. The reason I brought it was because I was killed a few times today by guys using one and they were pretty sharp even at a distance, maybe they´re just extremely good or got somewhat lucky.


But at medium range, it's pretty deadly, as I could see on the Strike map yesterday on a team Deathmatch, where I got top score overall and 28-4 in kills, with my M60+ACOG+3 Flash+Stopping Power+Bullet Penetration. 👍

Too bad the grip cant be fitted along with an RDS or an ACOG, it would be awesome.

I'm on GMT (Portugal), and I usually play from 5:30/6pm with a few breaks to do some stuff around the house, have dinner, go out a bit, etc., until about 2am, so I'm pretty easily found playing this online if anyone wants to send me invites or be invited.

If anyone is in a party or having a good series of matches, don't hesitate to invite me.
I really gotta update the other thread to try and gather a bunch of GTP members simultaneously, since even without previous arrangement, there has been about 8 of us at the same time. 👍
