As a BS driver (both meanings apply): The 2 per manufacturer rule only concerns the Top 24 race or all races?

Were you driving a black Lexus? (or is there somebody with a similar name)

aye. i made a huge mistake at the hairpin and hit someone once though i don't think i ruined their race or anything, i'm sorry in advance if it was you. the rest of my penalties were just brutal though. i've never had problems like that in a race before. oh well it shouldn't take too long to fix

Just the top 24 race, only real noticeable change will be in the top split where more top S/S drivers are in the slower cars. Nothing should change from DR A down to D.

In the Gr2 race I only got to lap six until I had to pit. I then went with fuel map 2 for a few laps to extend my second stint to seven laps in order to complete the race.

Has this happened to one of you? Normally you get enough fuel to at least get to the halfway point of the race. I used the Lexus btw.

Gr.3 you mean?

Maybe it's a little bit more marginal than normal but with a bit of short shifting you can make 7 laps without touching the fuel map.

No, Gr 2 Nations Cup in Suzuka.

yeah the tank isnt big enough for 7 flat out laps so one stint needs some light fuel management. seems like they're slowly making the races more complex

No wasn't me :) , you hit a Porsche which had been driving like a nob running people of the road, I thought it was deliberate so wrote a thank you message in the lobby just after the race. If it didn't ruin their race it's a shame. I was watching on the outside in the Mercedes.

I was racing the Lexus too and it was fine on fuel on map 1 for the entire race, I only needed around 75% at the stop (on lap 7) to make it to the end too, and I wasn't really short-shifting. Sounds strange to be that far off in the same car.

I know that short shifting is more effective, but when I'm involved in battles I prefer adjusting the fuel map so that I can completely focus on my driving.

Seems so

Did you have a lot of slipstream?
I started on P1 and drove alone for the first stint without any chance of slipstream. Messed it all up later in the race:grumpy:

I guess so, I was about 1-2 seconds off the lead in 2nd for the first stint so I was probably picking up a distant tow, from memory I had about 7% left when I stopped. The leader was running out of fuel towards the end in a Nissan but that could've been through short-fueling.

Short shifted slightly, made the pitstop after lap 7 with 16% left, gained a few spots with the Pitstop, threw it all away in the next few corners.. yay me!

That Gr.2 race was really fun. Such a nice change of pace. Plenty of door-to-door action in my race. I can't wait until we get Gr.2 dailies, and more Gr.2 cars in the game.

Figured I'd have a bad experience in an FIA race. Didn't even take two laps before people starting jamming their noses right into my bumper and giving me penalties. Wanted to pit early for clean laps but came out in traffic which made me lose reach with those that came in with me. Apparently had someone faster behind me but I couldn't make that determination on the spot. Was going to let them go but they disappeared off my tail. Soon after, I got rammed right off the track at the corner after the second split. Somehow, I didn't lose too many positions but what grated me the most is someone telling me post-race to basically "move aside for faster cars" after having my rear fender destroyed all race long because I'm more of a slow-in fast-out type of driver. Game wouldn't even let me reply back for some reason.

I have moved aside for faster cars before but to shove me aside is not how it's done. 👎

Here's the world record lap of yesterday's Gr.2 race at Suzuka (FIA Nation's Cup) ^^

Seems pretty optimal lap, good job. My optimal was 1:48.4

I see I lose a lot of time on degner turns and hairpin 7 tenths there :D Using the lower gears seems to make the car turn a bit better. Particularly in hairpin, then just gear up right away. Good to know

So when this incident happen I just have thing in my mind "he will just spin to left" so I just floor it and goes to right, but in reality he spin to right if I hit brake there have chance I will hit him and get penalty. Then I move to left my car was too fast so I spun hard like on video.

After that I get 7 seconds penalty lol, I can't be mad again I just confuse with what happen.

Other side Nations cup truly fun, manage stay on 2nd from start to finish. Wrong measure when take fuel and nervous on mid lap that's really cost me hard if that's not happen I can grab some win duh. His blocking was superb I mean no waving or brake check but just move his brake area make me hard to overtake him only can take over 1st when pit lol.

Strange race on manu cup. Top 2 disappeared after their pits. They were still putting in fast laps and appeared at the end.

I just had the worst FIA Nations race. One other S/S, three southern european A/S and a lot of D/S drivers. Qualifying didn‘t went well to begin with, even if you leave a 10 second gap to the D/S in front you will run into one as they‘re either slow or rejoining the track. I was on my way to the pole twice only to be blocked by some dip**** whose lap was screwed anyways 🤬 Qualified 4th
The race then started quite okay, I got a run on P3 and overtook him, but he already steered into me trying to close a door I already was 95% through. Two corners later he just divebombs me and I‘m in the gravel. The rest of the race was terrible then, totally lost my concentration and wrecked myself off 10 times :banghead:
Finished 5th and even lost 8 SR points...
At least I got the fastest lap, but what‘s that worth?

Just got disconnected from the manufacturers race, just saw everyone getting disconnected one by one then i got disconnected and lost even more points.
What a day im having.

How can I be punished for this when the game even knows it wasn't my fault?

got disconnected as well on the nations cup, was 2nd at that moment in qualify never happened to me before,it`s frustrating when you doing well.

Surreal Nations race. An alien from TRL, a few A's few B's (where i'm at) rest D's. Amazingly i got 2nd (kinda like a pole, 2s behind Augh) finished 6th. Race pace werent too great.

Same thing here, I was in a chance for 3rd with alot of very fast SS drivers, and got disconnected in 9th lap just before pits.

2,929 points must surely be a record for a 'normal' FIA race. New format forcing all the top guys to have to commit to these races instead of being able to just compete in the top 24 race and get a decent final standing just from that one race.

Useful to show my perspective of it and show how even in such a high quality field Brands is a killer

I don't know what is more frightening, the incredibly fast field or the fact that Brands Hatch didn't care as it snatched plenty of victims anyways. Tough break on Paddock Hill. I rarely run that close to the edge of the track in that spot during the race because I might as well pack a lawn chair for my inevitable trip to the beach.

Didn't get to run Brands Hatch but Interlagos was similar in terms of drivers getting in trouble via penalties. 1st was 2257 points and I didn't get a chance to do a second Q run so I tried being the turtle in a room of hares.
