As a BS driver (both meanings apply): The 2 per manufacturer rule only concerns the Top 24 race or all races?
In the Gr2 race I only got to lap six until I had to pit. I then went with fuel map 2 for a few laps to extend my second stint to seven laps in order to complete the race.
Has this happened to one of you? Normally you get enough fuel to at least get to the halfway point of the race. I used the Lexus btw.
Gr.3 you mean?

No, Gr 2 Nations Cup in Suzuka.
aye. i made a huge mistake at the hairpin and hit someone once though i don't think i ruined their race or anything, i'm sorry in advance if it was you. the rest of my penalties were just brutal though. i've never had problems like that in a race before. oh well it shouldn't take too long to fix

Maybe it's a little bit more marginal than normal but with a bit of short shifting you can make 7 laps without touching the fuel map.
yeah the tank isnt big enough for 7 flat out laps so one stint needs some light fuel management. seems like they're slowly making the races more complex
I was racing the Lexus too and it was fine on fuel on map 1 for the entire race, I only needed around 75% at the stop (on lap 7) to make it to the end too, and I wasn't really short-shifting. Sounds strange to be that far off in the same car.
I guess so, I was about 1-2 seconds off the lead in 2nd for the first stint so I was probably picking up a distant tow, from memory I had about 7% left when I stopped. The leader was running out of fuel towards the end in a Nissan but that could've been through short-fueling.Did you have a lot of slipstream?
I started on P1 and drove alone for the first stint without any chance of slipstream. Messed it all up later in the race![]()
Here's the world record lap of yesterday's Gr.2 race at Suzuka (FIA Nation's Cup) ^^
Had a great result in the nations cup. 2.9k points
Same thing here, I was in a chance for 3rd with alot of very fast SS drivers, and got disconnected in 9th lap just before pits.got disconnected as well on the nations cup, was 2nd at that moment in qualify never happened to me before,it`s frustrating when you doing well.
I don't know what is more frightening, the incredibly fast field or the fact that Brands Hatch didn't care as it snatched plenty of victims anyways. Tough break on Paddock Hill. I rarely run that close to the edge of the track in that spot during the race because I might as well pack a lawn chair for my inevitable trip to the beach.2,929 points must surely be a record for a 'normal' FIA race. New format forcing all the top guys to have to commit to these races instead of being able to just compete in the top 24 race and get a decent final standing just from that one race.
Useful to show my perspective of it and show how even in such a high quality field Brands is a killer![]()
