Abu Dhabi...Did Vettel outdrive the whole world?
Moved up about 13 places, got a nose job, moves up another 22 places....finishes third.
Not a bad days work.
There was 7 retirements. Take out the useless pic & Karthikeyan your left with 5 top drivers who would of been in front of Vettel. That would of put him 7th. You cannot deny the second safety car helped him massively. Still a hell of a drive but for the most part he didn't have to work his way through the field of challenging cars.
Don't forget he again hit someone while trying to overtake which damaged his nose and if it wasn't for a safety car he would of lost a hell of a lot of time having to go in and change the nose. The safety car pace allowed him to go in and catch up again without losing out.
Also don't forget that even though he was meant to be penalised he was allowed to alter his car to a faster spec. Very strange rule that btw which yes anybody would of taken advantage of but it shouldn't be allowed for anybody if they are in that position because of a penalty. He wouldn't of had as quick a car in the spec he did qualy in.
