Lewis Hamilton to Mercedes GP and Perez to McLaren. This is going to be very interesting since Rosberg said he didn't want Hamilton as his team mate. I think the only reason Hamilton signed with Mercedes GP is because in 2014 they can make their own engine, having that advantage over the other teams he'll probably plan to make the championship. But before that, he has to drive Michael's car first in 2013.

And for Perez I'm only glad he did, Button will be excellent for him and I hope McLaren will succeed next year with both.

Very excited to see Perez in the McLaren, as for Hamilton, he must know he has no hope of winning the championship next year, he has to be looking at the long term, but does he really think McLaren won't adapt quickly to the new engines? A team who have been on the podium in 1 of every 3 races they have entered?!

They will be running the same engines as Mercedes GP but Mercedes GP makes that engine so they can make it how they want, wich could have a slight advantage over the McLaren.

A quick Google translate on this message I got;
Bernie Ecclestone has to do is talk by saying that he is the introduction of turbo engines in F1 would delay or even not let that happen. The new engine own rules would have to go in 2014 after it has already been postponed once before.

According to the head of FIA, Jean Todt, this will not happen again but Ecclestone says about it now: "I recently listened to the engines at Maranello. The current and the new and even Montezemolo says he did not like sound, I found there nothing. I think Jean Todt also starting to wilen. a few years delay and perhaps if we continue with the current V8s we can save money. I think 30%.

Also Australian GP boss Ron Walker, a close friend of Bernie, said: "The Bernie circuits support in this fight because it would be a tragedy if the new engine does not sound like the old. It's a part of show.

The three-engine manufacturers Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes have all their test rigs to convert the V6 Turbo. It is assumed that postponing them much cheaper because they do the V6 will continue testing in the meantime.

If they are going to delay the engines, Hamilton will not be pleased....

I wish that were true, I think it's really for MORE money.
Same as in all sports, you jump ship for more money.

Just MHO hehe

Doesn't Mercedes make their own engines now?

Maybe Lewis knows something we don't, if Mercedes stop supplying mclaren with engines that could be a huge turning point. Lets not forget one of the biggest reasons the mclaren a are so strong is because of the Mercedes engine. It might not all be about money and only time will tell if Lewis made the right choice.

There has to be more to Mercedes than engines. I agree they make the power plants for McLaren who beats them like a rented mule. So why is that?

I am just trying to figure out why Hamilton would leave mclaren for a lesser team and I cant see it being about money because Lewis is racer, that's plain to see when he is on track so there has to be something we don't no about yet

reportedly now he makes $7.5mil
2014 $12mil

Could be money, plus he may have more freedom to have his own clothing line etc. Which now McLaren has him tied up...

They don't stop supplying McLaren with engines, they just stop getting them for free!

Hamilton has the same management as Backham so he might want that superstar status.

If McLaren won't get engines from Mercedes they'll go to Renault. Renault supplies RedBull and Lotus and they're doing pretty well. I actually would like to see that happen, Renault supplying to the three best teams on the grid and Mercedes as the underdog, with a 100% factory car as the only one on the grid.

I finally get to watch a race live. Suzuka is one of my favorite tracks to watch. The first turn was exciting as usual.

Anything can happen, and there's still 5 races left. Grosjean could be a big factor in those races, if you know what I mean.

Who carries the races on TV??..I live in the States with Dishnetwork and can never seem to figure it out....is there a website that shows a GOOD picture live?????

Sky has the most rights, but I don't know if you can watch that on the internet. I can watch them on the internet if I go to the website of the channel that shows it here in my country. I have to pay but it's only a Euro. I can imagine more channels doing this...

Edit: woops a bit too late

Hamilton tweeted Button disrespected him for unfollowing him on Twitter, Button replaied he never even followed him and Hamilton had to say sorry  It was brought up by a journalist, but you would think Lewis wouldn't bite so easily..

I've been thinking about saving up some money, so I can attend one of these F1 races next year. I'll most likely go to the Austin race, as kind of a birthday present to myself. My birthday is on Nov 15th and the race is on the 17th.

http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/...n-tell-ap-formula-one-17-year-run-with-speed/

Just watching Qualifying, and SPEED just announced that their 17 year broadcasting of F1 will come to an end after the season.

I know some people have said they hate SPEED's coverage of F1, but I never really had a problem with them, and in a way, I'm going to miss watching F1 on SPEED. Thinking back, Formula 1 is probably the only thing that I watch on SPEED nowdays.

What's happening with the licenses? Looks like Sky is buying them all, even BBC is not broadcasting all F1 races anymore since Sky bought a few. Even broadcast here in my country is unsure for next year. I really hope if Sky get's all the licenses, it better be good or F1 dies with it.
