I did the 6 Hours at Suzuka and got 4 Million. Thats crazy if it’s true.
It’s not true.
Looks like a 24 hours race will get you 1.2 million credits, pretty ridiculous..
12 million, not 1.2.

It’s pretty clear that if credits are your motivation you shouldn’t do these Power Pack events, or anything really in this game except the grind races over and over and over again.

I have a thought about the way you save progress in long endurance races.

It is weird but it is quite clever. If the game saves progress when you turn off the game, probably it works like that when you shut your console off.
That means this is safeguard agains power outage etc.
Imagine doing 24 hour race and having your power out at the end. PD thought about this and it should let you resume race. Even the way it simulates red flag suggest this was reason they added this :D

They didn’t said about this feature because it wasn’t meant to be used like save game.

I may have gently shown Miyazono how the sand is so coarse and gets everywhere on the exit of T1 because they were just too damn fast 😅

Still only just won, but the race was really good. Some of the GT Sophy AI agents are just alien class

For now my biggest disappointment is having the difficulty set through the cars you use, instead of changing Sophie's strength. Doesn't make much sense to me to battle with a Porsche from the seventies against others from 2016.
That's one of the difficulties with Sophy-type AI. You can only train it to a certain point, but it will not unlearn what it already knows. They tried to remedy that in the Quick Races with giving the Sophy 2.0-AI power cuts depending on your distance to the leader, but it's very noticeable and not very subtle.

I find the concept of using different strength cars a lot better. It could be expanded in both directions, say, a 3-chili car, and one below the standard no-chili car as well to satisfy an even bigger spread of players' capabilities.

My estimate after doing a couple of races in all chili-variants is that the 2-chili variant is a bit like Gold in the weekly time trials, so maybe 2-3% off the best human players. Of course, they would find it too easy, but for the vast majority the 3 variants of speed offered here fit right into their level of play.

Alot of posters are forgetting that GT7 is meant to be assessible too. Not many people want Dark Souls level of difficulty in the games they play.

I personally find it strange when people want games to be punishing when real life for a lot of folks is punishing enough.

That being said, I hope PD expands on Power Pack with future updates if they can. There's still a lot they can do, and Sophy can only be improved upon moving forward.
It is nowhere near as difficult as the Lewis Hamilton DLC for GT6, and certainly FAR from the X2014 Vettel lap times in GT5.

For me the middle car is the right spot I think, at least for the few first races I have tried, and i'm high B/low A driver.

But didn't we have different levels of Sophy at some point? there was that purple Sophy which was the fastest. I wasn't able to experience it since I didn't have the ps5 at that moment.

Is it just me, or is it really tricky to see how wet the track is before you begin a race?

The UI and Menus make it tricky to see the track, and the weather checker only doesn't really help.

Managed to make the right call by luck at the Historic event at Le Mans in the Porsche 917K. Started on Inters when everyone else started on Hards. It continued to rain and they all pitted at the end of lap 1.

Really odd choice to have Sarah say 'It's begun to rain' when the moisture o meter is half way through...

How about you give me a forecast of the weather before I commit to a race I can't restart, or see what the weather is likely to do? Or tell me what tyres the rest of the field are starting on? Or anything that's even remotely useful please?

I'm mostly enjoying my time, but there are some awful game design decisions made here...
Yes. I had to start this race again after they pushed me off the track right before the entrance of the pits. Second time started immediately on IM and won by more than a minute with the one chili car.

In custom races, and arcade races iirc, you can choose between begginer, intermediate and professional.

I don't know if the car you choose affect the AI pace in the PP races, or if it's just your car that is slower.

There is not even a penalty for crashes or cutting the track; so, planning a race strategy? They didn't even think about t
Why do you need this ?

AI never cuts track limits...the only one who can do this are you...so if you think that is unfair, just stop doing it!
And I don't understand what that factor has to do with your personal race strategy plans...

Is anyone having trouble with Grand Valley with the Lambo? It's so slow in a straight line and Miyazono is impossible to hold back over 15 laps without taking him out

My Tree....loving it!...want more!....only complaint,it's going by too fast...saved the Civic line till the end...yup,66 with my 6 speed Civic in RL,move arsehole!!....😆...

This is the way I am going to do it as well. I'm sticking to either 1 or 2 peppers for the first pass, then going back to upgrade to 2 peppers on everything.

For the "it's too easy people" take note how this photo is not universally "1st" place. I can't wait for the posts from people who finish "not 1st" in the endurance races.

As far as I remember, they handicapped Sophy 1.0 by giving it less stickier tyres.

and even then the difficulty for most of them aren't actually difficult. Take the Daytona Historic or whatever it was called for an example. I choose the slowest car, Ford GT40 66, because I love driving that car and the sound that it makes.

Turns out the AI can't actually handle the Bus Stop chicane there nor can it handle T1 very well either. Blast through those two areas like you would normally and you'll win, with the slowest/hardest car, by over 15 seconds. No need to abuse track limits, just drive them normally and you'll gap the AI every day all day long.

Le Mans that followed I won by 2 minutes in the slowest car just by checking the radar and starting on Inters. The AI also can't handle Indy into Arnage well at all. Nor is it quick through the Ford Chicane. Again drive those normally and you'll gap all day. For almost all the DLC races I've done so far and I'm sitting at 440 stars there's some portion of the circuit that humans can drive normally that the AI just cannot handle. Use those areas top gap the AI and you'll win by miles each time.

Strange. Doesn't seem to work in my options. Still grey, cannot switch them off even if off in normal campaign Sophy races.
Maybe this can be pinned to the top to help others. This is a step by step to turn off the Sophy Emojis.

Step 1 - Go to world circuits, NOT the DLC. The DLC does not have the pre-race screen necessary to access the option.

Step 2 - Pick a track and go to a race. I recommend choosing a Sophy custom race so you can test if you did it correctly.

Step 3 - Before the start of the race, go to the settings.

Step 4 - Choose Display Settings

Step 5 - Choose Car Name Display and turn it "OFF"

That is maybe true for you...but for me an average player the best result I can make at Daytona in the Ford is a 6th place, the top 5 are lapping at least 2 seconds faster every lap(the two top cars almost 4 seconds quicker there) and with my skills at the moment there is no way to get those 2 seconds, unless I spent an hour or more there with timetrailing...

You are obviously a very fast driver(A+ and all TTs and circiut exp's/missions on gold I guess...), but with that you are part of i tiny minority that play GT7...but when they develop new things for GT7, their focus group is not the very top shelf of the best GT players...

Mine is set to off in normal Sophy races but in the DLC they’re locked to on and greyed out.

Sorry, but in the Power Pack races the emojis exist even if that is done. Thank you anyway.

Yep, it seems in the Power Pack they are forced on. I wonder why.
Has somebody managed to take those off in the Power Pack races?

You can see from the marks in the grass, Sophy cut that corner by a lot.

I can show you my power pack screen shots. They are not there. It's either a bug, or you did it incorrectly.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack Includes Mid-Race Saves (Sort Of)

An unexpected and undocumented throwback feature has been discovered in the Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack DLC, with players reporting that it’s actually possible to suspend and resume a race even if your PlayStation 5 powers off...

I have same issue as well. I am inclined to think that this is a game bug. Repeated turning car display name on and off from custom races do nothing for Sophy 2.1 emojis and for Sophy 3.0 floating heads.

It apparently works for some people but not for everyone.

I have this off, but in the power pack, the player's images still float above them.

Yes, the player names and images are there, but the emoji's are not. People have been asking about removing the emojis

Now, I don't know if I have triggered a bug, because I've had the emojis off for months, or if people are confusing the names and the emojis. In either case, I don't have emojis.
