What's funny is the stark difference between this forum (on the whole) and other GT7 social media sites. I follow a few Facebook groups and many of those guys can't beat the regular single player. Peppers? Forget about it.

Here, people think 2 peppers is nothing.

Just pointing at the wide gap between the better players and the lesser players.

2 peppers also vary a lot, some are perfectly doable by a B driver, while others are A+ level.

Not tested any pepper car yet, but my experience with the no pepper cars varies widely from crushing the competiton without even trying to being unable to do better that 5th or 6th with some practice time, multiple clean laps of quali, and a race where I don't do mistakes.

Yeah I went back and beat it yesterday after I posted the last message. Finally qualified first but I was still 4th into the first corner because I can't figure out how to match the AI pace on the standing start. No CRB for me on this one
Nice work!

I have the same problem with the standing start. I tried using TCS and it gets you off the mark quicker but still not quick enough if you're in the 🌶️🌶️ car.
I think maybe that's part of the challenge.

I went back to TCS off and working on bettering my lap times so I can chase the leaders down.

I've been getting murdered at Suzuka using the medium and hot pepper Civics in their event! I just cannot find the pace in the '93 and '87 models.

It's created a situation whereby I'm disappointed that i can't learn anything from watching my opponents' driving when playing against Sophy as opposed to humans in Sport Mode.

I think because your 🌶️🌶️ car is setup different to your opponents it wouldn't be much use watching how they drive theirs. You'd need to watch yt videos or GT replays of other people to learn from in that specific car.

I upload my wins to YouTube but I'm in VR so the Delta information is minimal. Clean Race Bonus

I suppose you're right!

There are some lovely car+track combos. Some you really get that feeling "yes, more of that, please". But Poliphony being Poliphony, there is no option to add laps to the events, so you get this short burst of decent and engaging gameplay and just move on to the next.

And there's a huge gap here too. I beat the Le Mans group c with the Nissan by 3 laps.

GOTMAXPOWER beat it in the Mercedes by 11 laps.
There's e-sports pros here and also folk the got GT7 for Christmas lol

Welp, I for one cannot deal with the no pepper dirt races, let alone win them in the harder tiers. And there are some regular track ones with 2 peppers missing still because the races are too short and I have to put up a lot of effort and some dirty driving in order to prevail, so it takes me a lot of time.

My new year dream is a future where Poliphony learns how to implement sliders and more option settings in the game (and a off button for rubberbanding in the cusrom races).

Well, I’ve been trying out the PP over the last couple days. Fortunately, no more errors and force quits like it did on my very first race. Been playing in the American (Blue) and European/German (Green) races. I will say, the races are more intense than the regular game, but I think that’s mostly down to the ultra slippery cars they give you at 2 chilis . You basically need to do a bunch of controlled slides to keep your pace up.

So far the hardest races I’ve had were Alsace Village in the Fiat, Trial Mountain in the old Corvette and Brands Hatch in the Gr.3 Corvette. I just don’t have the pace to keep up with the leader. I’m close at Alsace but I need to find another second per lap to take the win. I need to find another 3 seconds per lap with the old Vette (got 3rd, 12 seconds behind the leaders) and Brands Hatch is going to be tough. I need at least a second or maybe 2 per lap to take the lead.

The practice isn’t that bad. I really only do about half an hour of practice then the qualifier. The only race where the AI sandbagged their qualifier was Willow Springs in the Beetle. They were 2.5 seconds faster per lap in the race. I’m not proud of the pushing and shoving I needed to do to keep Solis behind me in that race, but otherwise things have been fairly clean.

I guess it’s nice to have this extra level of pace by the AI. I feel like this should be available for the whole game as a 3 chili pepper difficulty setting.

Anyway, for $30 it’s not bad. I’m sure there are much harder races coming up but so far they have been engaging, you really can’t afford to screw up. You need to hit your apexes, braking points, shift points and have good control of your trail braking and throttle inputs if you want to win.

As a former C/B driver in sport mode it’s a good challenge.

Got five laps in the Suzuka race and quit. Wish it were like the old Super GT Endurance races. Mixing up the tuned road cars to race car specs felt more fun in the Weekly Challenges.
However, I do appreciate the Practice and Qualifying.

Completed the 46 non-endurance races. 1 pepper car each time, just one attempt at each (no restarts).

Still a few stars short of the 900 point reward.

Qualifying generally too easy, Sophy 3 is too slow in that compared to race pace. Some good battles, some easy snorefests. Can definitely see some differences in how this Sophy version drives - more overtaking attempts, more defence (it loves a cutback when you divebomb) and more errors.

I honestly wouldn't have any reason to not believe you as the roulette is filled with things you can't get - but the car doesn't come in plain white, it only comes with highlights.View attachment 1501510

To my knowledge there's no other example of a car in the roulette being in a unique colour so I don't see why this would be any different. I think that alone makes it more likely to be mistaken identity than anything else.
I know I'm very late...takes a while getting through the pages....

I know for a fact that sometimes there is an AMG '16 GT3 in Bilstein livery in the wheel but you cannot buy it in that livery (I have also never won it). It also is in the race intro for the GTWS races when you get the circle of cars.

This Corvette at Trial Mountain is hot garbage. Best I can muster is a 1:59.131 and repeating that is dang near impossible. The rear of this car is so unsettled. Any small bump and it lifts off the ground spinning you backwards. I saw a YT video of a guy running 1:57’s on a controller but I know PD optimized the controllers for better car control. It’s just a terrible car to drive. Probably the most inconsistent drive I’ve had in this PP.

Edit: Finally beat it. Definitely a white knuckle drive and I did have to box the leader out in to the final chicane, but I got the win.

Slightly off topic, the Skyline you win from the PP,with a small turbo upgrade, makes for a lively drive on the Tokyo 600 race.👍
Is that the Skyline GT-R GP-Tuned (KPGC10)? If so I tried it in that race too but left it stock as it was already near 600pp. Didn't go well haha.

Power Pack is available after completing café 9: Tokyo Highway Parade regardless of the collector level

What tyres did you use? Tokyo 600 is a no go on RH tyres…

Whatever comes with the car. RH I think. But if you go any better you'd go over 600pp yeh?

I'm 4 hours into the Suzuka Endurance event, in the 2 chilli NSX...

Not sure I have the pace to win, even on strategy. Averaging a 2.05/2.06 with my laptops, pretty sure the leaders are putting on 2.01, something like that.

I'm on RM tyres on FM1. My current strategy is to go like hell until my fuel is 50%, then throw the red flag (close the game, save progress and resume) so the field gets closed up and we all get fresh tyres, and go like hell again until I need to box for another set of fresh tyres and fuel.

The leader are still putting a good 50+ seconds on me in half a fuel stint, and seemingly not having to pit more often than I am.

Unless there are some shenanigans to be had with their fuel stops in the last hour, I don't think I'll place on the podium. I'm typically P3/P4 before I need to box for fuel, with the cycle of those pitting before me.

I genuinely think the game gives Sophy 1000bhp in those moments when you're fighting with them, as they gain 1.5 seconds on me on every straight. The super long gearing might help with fuel, but the pace of the others is so strong it's essentially useless as I have no acceleration or top end speed.

I'll see this race through to the end, but I think it's my last until they make some changes to the AI behaviour, the specs of the cars they have, difficulty slider options etc (maybe based on what licences you've earned in the main game)

I have a simple question, roughly how long will it take me to unlock the Toyota Supra GT Road Car (JZA80)? Where do I begin, with the Civic 90’s?

you need to do the purple path, and you need to finish 3 races I believe, did the same to use it on the TT, finished around 3-4th on each race :

I have just finished all the races, (except the Four endurance races) I have not re-done any of the races, they are just what my first finish/result was, also when I got the power-pack I had just got a wheel and pedals so of course there is a learning curve.

Update - in the last two hours of the race, everyone started making pit stops and only getting a tiny amount of fuel...

Which meant that they would do 2 or 3 laps and then box again, for another few laps.

Happy to take the win, but I know I wouldn't have won had the AI not started to glitch.
