The weather is random or is always the same pattern?
Because i am having so much fun thanks to the dynamic weather.

To me every single race…long or short should have random dynamic weather ON that can change every time you replay an event. That’s what makes every event unpredictable and fun to play

I get the impression that it's random when rain is involved.
And when rain is expected, it rains more or less, especially in endurance races.

But when it's sunny, it's always sunny.

But having qualifications is a double-edged sword, especially on the Nurburgring + Nordschleife combination[...]

I would have replayed this race many times if it weren't for having to do two qualifying laps.
You can stay in the pits and fast forward quali with x10 time, still not immediate but shorter waiting time.

Having done Le Mans Group C 24 and Nurburgring 24 3 times each I can safely say that the weather pattern for both of them is absolutely random.

That there will be weather is not. It's my experience that 100% of the Le Mans Group C Memories 24 hour will have rain. It is only a matter of when and for how long.

I've completed 3 each. I've started over 30 Le Mans just looking for the one time where it doesn't rain in the first 4 hours. I found ONE instance where it didn't rain until well into night.

So i finally finished the first endurance. The one in suzuka. As i said is great on many things and bad on others…at sone point everytime the AI pits, they put just a small amount of fuel so they keep going back to the pit too often and the race start to become too easy…

I think is completely bugged. It is just broken.

And then again this way of save is just no sense. Every time i lose the margin i gained…just if i am 1 or more lap ahead it is saved in the progress

Not "at some point", but "when you use the restore feature" - and yes, it's a known bug with the restore feature.

Aaaah okok thanks, i didn’t know. Good to know…so i wait the next update to see if the resolve this issue before doing the other 3 endurance races

Another three hours to drive at SPA with the CLK...

This is my fifth attempt... The other four ended in collisions and/or crashes... and one in abandonment due to torrential rain: a Zodiac would have been more useful...🤣🤣🤣.....
even with rain tyres, I couldn't do anything against the McLarens, which were on rails and took 10 seconds off me per lap... until I ended up in the gravel...

and on my fifth start, I came across a race where it was barely raining, just a drizzle, and the medium tyres did the job...

It rained for three hours and I came out of it and I think it won't rain anymore... if the weather doesn't change when we resume...

I'm one lap ahead for now and I hope to keep it that way because something strange happened to me:

just as I was putting the PS5 on hold, a window popped up telling me that the console software needed
to be updated... argh...😡😡😡
So I had to restart the PS5.... not what I wanted at all...

I'll start again tonight with a group start, with the two McLarens on my tail again, and hopefully with the same weather and still one lap ahead...

I don't understand why this update didn't happen as soon as I turned on the console... as usual...🤔🤔🤔

Oh well, never mind, I'll be able to see if the refuelling bug also exists at SPA as it does at Suzuka when you turn off the PS5...

I have now completed all the 46 normal non-endurance races. It tried to win every race at least with the one-chilli car, but unfortunately I couldn't achieve that. I think, three races I only won with the no-chilli car, but also a few races with the two-chilli car, all races driven with wheel and no driving aids active. The difficulty level is very varying and nearly in every race I observed that the lap times of the AI is getting faster when you choose the slower car (at least of the fastest opponents). Only in one or two races this wasn't the case. I have driven the most races with all three cars.

But overall I enjoyed the power pack. I found it much better as the normal single player campaign, except that you can't choose your car freely.

I think I don't try the endurance races for time reasons. I would do it if there would be a proper method to save your progress, this implemented "fail save" is too risky for me, I guess.

About that low refuel glitch, I don't think I would have won the Suzuka 6 Hour in the NSX without it.

There's that, and I also took advantage of fresh tires after reloading from a save to avoid pitstops.

I hated this race.

@The_3000 I have tested a few different methods of exiting the game (outside of unplugging the system), and they all saved the race just fine. Even after a full shut down, it saved. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Maybe I'll give it a try some time, but at the moment I'm not motivated enough :).

Did the 1000 horsepower race at Tokyo the other day. I echo @Mathaios_C, @art3mis and @Alfa Romeo GT. You guys were talking about endurance races but this definitely is the best GT single player experience in terms of on track action. I really really hope this is the direction they go for GT8 in terms of race structure and the AI.

That's a tricky trick! I might actually be tempted to re-run them again. I've been trying for a mostly rain free night run at Le Mans and haven't gotten one yet. Sucks to reset 8 or more hours into a race but I've already completed twice and this run I want to be RNJESUS perfect :D

I dip in now and then, and last night I unlocked the Levin. That was an enjoyable race, but I still don't like Fuji.

That's the second time my phone has changed Levin to Kevin before I've spotted it. 😂

So I had taken a huge layoff from GT7. I'm A+ rank online but I've not done an online race in probably 18 months or longer.
Recently began playing more regularly. Starting with completing all the new circuit experiences etc etc. Decided to buy the powerpack and man am I struggling.
The muscle car race at Seca I managed to come first in the 2 chili car after about 7 attempts. The GTI race in the Abarth I found quite a bit harder but managed in about 8-10 attempts.
Now the Civic race on Tokyo Express is just plain frustrating. Best I could do was qualify 5th and finish 4th when Sophy made a slight mistake. Doesn't help that I hate all the Tokyo tracks because there are no real landmarks to use as braking points.
Am I just well out of practice or is it just brutal? Are these first 3 races considered easy Vs the rest of what the powerpack has to offer? If so this is going to be more frustrating than fun. I put it on par with an A+ race online, if not harder because the AI makes less mistakes than human drivers do. Really you have to quali in the top 3 or a 1st place finish seems impossible in only 3 laps.

Welp.
I'm basically doing one race in each section before advancing to the next. So next up was the american musclecar on road atlanta. Qualified pole and came first in the 2 chili car on around my 4th attempt - fairly easy.
Next is The GTI on Alsace and I can't even get close to the leader. I'm 2 seconds off his best lap in qualifying. Tried a few times starting from 2nd on the grid and just get immediately owned. Maybe I'll have to just ram him off the track and go from there

It's just-brutal.
I beat Alsace by cheesing it massively, but glad it's done:

Also did the offroad Beetle race after learning how to get the most out of each gear, hard but not impossible.
This race is on par with a typical A+ lobby race tbh, quite the challenge and one small mistake can ruin it for you:

I am a bit rough with the AI because they're the same with me. They will often divebomb and just barge their way in front so its fair game, especially with no penalty system.

Any tips for the Nurburgring Porsche 1 lap race on 2 chili mode please? The best I can get is a 7:21 which is like 8th place, too far back to win. I'm not great on this track I tend to avoid racing on it as much as possible. The curbs seem to really unsettle the car so I find myself under driving to try and get a clean lap without binning it

I hope some people who got the survey asked for a more easy going no-chili difficulty along with less rubberbanding, y'know, for slow drivers like me.

Heck, like I keep saying, maybe a milk glass or two milk glass difficulty since milk tends to calm down pepper heat.
