It rained my race… we all went in for IM tires Lopez stayed out and won the race it didn’t get that wet…. Bro I was hot! Had to do all over again 14 laps at the RBR

How is that version different from the gr3 version?

Edit: 20 laps at Watkins in gr3. A track Sophy 2.1 can't race on.

That tuned Levin makes for a great little touring car - great addition.

Sophy however... Still needs work. The amount of times I've been dive bombed at Fuji is every apex until I break away.

Also, the first GT500 race... If my car is significantly slower for difficulty purposes, then it discourages me from re-entering at that level. The NSX double chilli is terribly slow compared to the other cars. Sophy destroyed me by 10 seconds because it can out drag me by a second per lap on the main straight.

I actually enjoy the divebomb, you just need to defend the inside so they try to overtake you outside, sometimes they fail miserably it's hilarious, but so far in my races I haven't seen any outrageous behaviour, sophy is doing a good job at being aggressive when I don't defend properly or brake a bit too early. But they don't brute force me out of the way if I defend fairly.

I had pole up until I spectated Fraga getting a draft in the dying seconds and two cars put me down to 3rd for the start. I dropped one more place at the green flag behind Bonelli. Carrarazza was behind Fraga. When we got to Turn 3, I was closing in on Fraga slipstream and hocked up with “him” for the next 10 laps. Lap 12 I jumped down to the apron and stayed there. SOPHY wanted that spot so bad. Could see the calculations of my movements to how Fraga would have slipped right in a gap.

Well, hopefully SOPHY 3.1 is in the near future for Custom Races. We need the race weekend option.

I clicked on the right side box where it says $29.99 USD. Is that for adding 5,000,000 credits? Because when I launch GT7 and try and access the Power Pack it wants to take me to the PS Store and it ask for an additional $29.99 USD.

I've got a solid 500+ hours in the game and even I'm not sold on the DLC

Well with 500 hours in nearly 4 years, you are clearly not a hardcore GT fan 😅 a fan probably but not hardcore (and with 3x your playtime I consider myself as a very casual GT player, and I thoroughly enjoy the DLC which will give me at least 150h of gameplay)

Only had time for one race, but the new Sophy is really solid. I did the American path with the Rampage, and the Hellcat in 1st was matching my pace really well, which allowed for some much closer racing than I've ever had against the AI. They started taking defensive lines at the Andretti Hairpin and made passing an actual challenge, until a slight nudge in the corkscrew on the last lap gave me the victory.

Definitely enjoyed practice and qualifying, but I wish they let us make some changes to the suspension, LSD, and aero as part of the process...

I've been racing in the Power Pack all day and I am super impressed. I'm a fairly decent racer but in the standard, no chillis difficulty, I can just about qualify in pole and have to fight to keep the lead for pretty much the whole race. The new Sophy is tough but beatable.
I've done 6 or 7 races so far, all hard fought wins...prizes won vary from credits to lottery spin. Prize payouts are good but you certainly have to work the money. You can retry any unlocked event as many times as you want and receive prize money but not the gift box / prize.
It will take me weeks to get 1st in all 50 races on normal, and much later on the higher difficulties, so I personally think it is well worth the money especially if you mainly use GT7 for single player race or events.

Slipstream works in qualifying!

Early on in the first Suzuka event's qualifying, I got a draft on the straight after the spoon and since then I had 4 more laps. I would keep losing 0.4 seconds on that straight every time compared to the time when I got the draft, thus proving that slipstream works in qualifying. This is a different behavior than in Sport where slipstream is always turned off during qualifying.

Sophy 3.0 is definitely a better racer than Sophy 2.1. One example- I had planned to overtake one at the Suzuka hairpin. It braked later than at its usual braking point, making it impossible to overtake it.

Sophy 3.0 is quicker during first lap compared to Sophy 2.1 and is more aggressive, making it more human like.

Some don't let themselves be pushed around, others move out of the way. It's really cool to see that.

This was my common complaint across the first three races. Especially at the start where I would always be out-dragged by a few Sophy's by turn 1.

Played some hours. As low rated B driver with just 1 win in Sports Mode, really enjoyed the level of AI and battles. Really had to push myself a bit to earn those wins. Is it worth 30 euros? I doubt so but then I got some prize cars such as the Supra... Nice

The DTM race is weird btw, already get traffic after 6 laps?

Yeah of course Clickbait Kireth is complaining about the AI being terrible and how it's no different from the base game. But, when he did a quali lap it seemed like the AI gave him a good battle. From what others seems to be experiencing it seems like you need to do the quali lap to have a good battle (which is totally fair).

There are far worse clickbait content creators than Kireth. He's one of the few content creators who actually isn't afraid to criticise things if they aren't up to par. I admit, in his early days he would post clickbait but that ship has sailed long ago. I consider his content fairly good journalism, and not afraid to ask hard questions when required. That's just my personal opinion.
