We're level 3 daily tickets not only for people under level 50 btw? I'm level 70 and just got a 3 star. Or was that 1 and 2 stars?
that was 1 and 2 stars, and under level 20, since that level stats never improved, and it did not improve when going from 50 to 70, sadly

I don’t know if anybody has mentioned this yet but I’m really liking some of the GT6 menu soundtrack that was brought back for the Power Pack menus along with some new songs.

I noticed that as well. Whoever is in charge of organizing the Store layout did that on purpose just to be a dick. I also saw the price and credits but couldn't figure out where the description was, so I opened the game and bought it through there instead and it linked to the correct Power Pack.
My guess is the person who did it was actually trying to emphasize the value of the Powerpack, that it has all the race content plus 5 million credits included for the same price as just 5 million credits. Obviously that strategy, if correct, has backfired. I really do not think PD would deliberately try to deceive their customers and trick them to buy something.

PD wouldn't have had any control over store placement nor would there be any direct benefit to them to do it anyway.

Only played a couple of the races of the power pack so far, do you have to click through that opening conversation with "Sarah" and sit through an unskippable place crawl before the actual race every time?

Loving the racing so far, seems a lot better than the usual game standards - but sitting through that every time could get old really quick. Please tell me I'm missing something!

Only had the chance to sit down with it for about 30 mins so far. :-/
The Sarah thing is "just" for the first race of each of the 6 paths. The grid presentation happens every time and can't be skipped. Be aware pressing button during that time actually does stuff. While trying to skip it for the first time I accidently shifted into reverse. Let's just say I only noticed after the lights went out :dunce:

Ha oh same here, I cna remember a race I was somehow in reverse

Anyone else a bit underwhelmed by Sophy 3.0's pace? I've only done maybe 7-8 races but every one has been a blowout. Like, I'll skip practice, do one quali lap, and be 1.000" faster than Q2. Then, in the race I just walk away typically winning by 5-10 seconds.

I just did the N24 Gr3 race, spun on my quali lap and was still 10 seconds faster than Q2. Won the race by almost a minute where only P2 was within said minute; P3 was 1:08 back.

I have my settings to the hardest difficulty; I've also used the slower cars with the same results. Almost a moot point because the AI uses the same car regardless of which I pick and it's still way back.

I thought 3.0 was supposed to be pretty quick where qualifying in 5th and finishing a race in 3rd would be considered a good result. I am just not seeing it.

Unlock endurance race need stars? or complete tree?
looks like you need stars to unlock some elements including events, but I am not there yet.

Your not giving the Sophy time to adjust to your pace by doing that so you get easy mode.

Unlock endurance race need stars? or complete tree?
Both. The Spa 8hr race requires the Europe branch to be complete and 400 stars to unlock.

Unlock endurance race need stars? or complete tree?
Both, it seems. Completing a (relevant) path reveals the event, but you need stars to enter it.

I hope you are right. Can't confirm because I did some practice (between 5 to 10 laps) + quali (until being 1st except Suzuka) in Civic 90 races, and AI were tough for me. But not very competent driver (especially on Suzuka)

Do you know the stars needed for other events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans?
I don't even know if that race exists - there's two still to find...

That's probably right. It was in the power pack advertising, the idea of the same value as buying just credits. No successful company wants a bunch of pissed off customers feeling they were tricked, believe me. I have worked in a big company and consulted to many, many others, I have never seen behavior that deliberate. Now, I am sure it happens in companies but in general, that behavior would get someone fired. Particularly in this age of viral beatdowns for company behavior.

I hope there will be the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance races♥️

seems we only know about the endurance races at Suzuka and Spa?

That is interesting if the AI is adjusting its pace to match ours in qualification. We may have to do some tests, see how pole position times vary for players of different levels.
IDK about that. What you can do is watch streams from top drivers and compare their quali times with the AI times.

*I'd assume that there is [a limit for credits bought using microtransactions], and it would be an irrelevant 2,147,483,647cr
Just out of curiosity, I did some quick maths to work out how much it would cost to get to that limit with microtransactions.

2,147,483,647 / 5,000,000 = 429.4967294, let's round that up to 430.
430 * €29.99 = €12,895.70

I'm just wondering if the PS Store lets you buy that many in one go, or if someone will have to sit there for about 3/4 hours mashing X to get through the store's menus.

I bet this whole all-new campaign would make for splendid livestreaming material, especially since it's more or less offline. Indeed, since you're racing against Sophy and not humans, I'd imagine there's no need to concern about lag due to both playing online and livestreaming simultaneously. Heck, I'd be down to stream it myself, if/when I get myself a PS5.

I'd like to think the N24h is a shoe-in as Gran Turismo sponsor the race. LM24h is a bit more complicated

What do you mean? By skipping practice?

I'd think that Sophy could learn one's pace within quali. I mean, the game is keeping track of your time at every .001" (at least that is what we can see) so why would the practice matter? I dunno, you'd think a learning computer would be able to do that with literally one lap.

It's probably just that Sophy's pace is tuned for average players (as the larger part of the userbase) and some of you lot are simply too quick. Likely easier to control the pace with the tuning of the player vehicles rather than having multiple versions of this build of Sophy,

I’ve only done a couple of events so far but I’m happy I didn’t pay for the Power Pack (received a free code from Sony) as I’m very underwhelmed. It’s not so much the races themselves, more the presentation and vibe. It’s a race weekend yet there’s no feedback from the crowd, no cheers from the grandstand, no flags waving, no movement. Post-race there’s no podium or ceremony to give a celebratory feel. Just a real shame each event doesn’t feel or present as special.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always loved the understated presentation of GT, especially when compared to some of its shoutier rivals, but I would have liked a bit more oomph to the Power Pack’s presentation.

This could be the case as I usually do 2-3 laps in Qualifying before pitting and the AI were giving me quite a hard time, in particular the FF races have so far been the hardest for me with the best i've been able to do is 4th-5th. Wonder if they'll be easier if I just skip it all together, i'll test that.

I heard something like you can have 24h at Le Mans but you cannot call them 24h Le Mans as that understandably falls under the licence held by LMU.

I usually stick to the Forza Horizon section but I dropped the 30 dollars for this on a whim and I am very surprised about how this DLC was handled. Very cool presentation. Never had more fun running 7th in Gran Turismo before. Hopefully they continue to expand on this mode in the future.
