What do you expect the Power Pack DLC will cost?

They are v fast at the start anyway, but I've noticed something similar; qualify 2 secs faster than P2, but then in the race two or three AI opponent cars stay v close, battling the whole race, even if you're lapping faster than your qually time.

Very variable difficulty race-to-race too. Some races v difficult, eg FF at Willow (tooth and nail, win by less than a sec, if i win at all), followed by easy race, eg 500hp at Trial Mtn (won by 15 secs once!)
Happened to me too, and just at Willow. Miyazono qualified a 1'19,7 and I did a 1'19,3 so shouldn't be any problems there. Or so I thought. He got stuck behind two others in the start so I figured I'd get away but half a lap later the black Hyundai was right at my rear bumper and not going anywhere. Now I'm not the best FF driver out there but certainly not bad enough to be about 10 km/h slower in the first long right hander if the cars are evenly matched, I was right at the grip limits at 175 or so and he was effortlessly doing 185 without even using all the available steering lock. That wouldn't be a problem if his car was correspondingly slower on the straights but nope, like being in tow all the way from the twisties to the final sweeper. That fastest lap tells a story of its own.

How do you beat someone with superior cornering grip AND equal straight line speed? By blocking a lot. A very big lot.

This is my personal opinion on the PP Pack.

To get it out of the way:

I feel the price of the DLC is justified based on the hours it takes to just complete all the races alone. Now, content for the sake of content is not always the best option. But some of these races are just magnificent. And i only did about 3/4 of the Yellow theme.
However, i do have the feeling that these races SHOULD have been in the main game when it launched. The vibe i'm getting from these, is what i expected when GT7 launched.

1. The way the races are lined up in this roster, yeah i like it. I just hope GT8 is going to be something similar. Or at the very least like it was in GT4/5.

2. Sarah is very cute, but i sincerely hope she is not that annoying IRL. PD give us an option to skip these comments during the race. I don't need to hear i am the race leader when i'm lapping number 16 and 15 in the race.

3. The presentation of the grid just before you start the race is fantastic! The first 2-3 times. After that i want an option to skip this scene and just start my race please. Sidenote: the same for the weekly One Lap Magic race with the Corvette VGT. Don't let me wait a full minute to see every car starting their race. Let me skip it and do the usual 3 2 1 countdown. Time is valuable here!

4. Apparantly the historic races are the easiest, so yeah. I have yet to try a 2 chili pepper race, because i first want to try the races as they are. I did a couple of 1 chili pepper races and i feel for my skill these are also a tad to easy. But we will see what the rest of the themes/races bring.

5. Endurance races. Never thought this ever was going to be a huge issue for me with the GT franchise. But why is it so hard for PD to include these type of races like we had with previous titles? It took them almost 4 years AND we have to pay for them to have a mere 4 endurance races in the game and only 2 of them are 24hr races. And yes i will be doing those races and yes with the resume option and probably not in 1 go. It's just part of the nostalgia for the game in my head and it's a shame we didn't get those proper endurance races in the main game.

6. I actually like the fact you only have 3 options initially to do your race. And very important, you can choose the difficulty of the race which is very welcome for people who like these sort of games but are maybe less skilled in playing them. I can imagine the frustration if they would only include the option for the 2 chili pepper races. Another feature i hope to see returning in GT8. However: the option to be able to redo these races with cars from your garage would be a very welcome addition. It would severely lengthen the playtime for this DLC. Maybe it would be nice if this option unlocked once you came 1st to 3th in a race. That way as i read here before (many of the races based on very expensive cars) it would mitigate the fact you don't have the proper car to enter certain races. But you could still redo these races later when you have the proper car.

7. What is the added value of me paying an entry fee to participate in a race? If someone could explain this to me, you would be very welcome. Unnecessary to put this in the DLC. Also let me see the credits i can earn before i do a race with the appropriate percentages (10 and 20%). Don't know why this is not in the DLC.

8. I feel the DLC is very engaging for me personally and it keeps me playing and wanting to continue doing races and unlocking price cars/tickets/new races. A feeling i almost never had with the menu system from the main game.

9. There doesn't seem to be races on Yas Marina or Jacques Villeneuve which is kinda a bummer. Yes their are races added with Spec III in the main game, but i feel these circuits should have been represented in the DLC.

10. As i said before, when you buy the PP Pack it says: Power Pack 1. So i'd very much be happy with a Power Pack II in the future or just before GT8 launches. We could have themes for VGT cars, Open racing and maybe manufacturer races only. Plenty of things they can do with it.

Overall you can say what you want but this game is almost 4 years out and still receiving something like this is very rare in the gaming space these days. The only thing i truly hope is that PD keeps building on the things they have realised with GT7. The gameplay is fantastic, the free and paid content is very welcome and as i said before, i hope the single player races in GT8 are set up the way they are now in the DLC or atleast in a similar way. And of course a whole lot more races please!

Are you disappointed with fact that there is no trophies with huge (and pretty expensive) DLC?
And second, are you satisfied with gaming experience delivery?

I haven't reached there yet but does this mean that in some races, you have weather map and tires choice before starting a race?
Yes so for example at La Sarthe, it said practice was 60% (chance of rain?), qualy was dry, and the race was 60% again. It didn't let you know surface water at the start as far as I remember, but wet weather definitely exists in this mode. And inters and full wets are available for those races

This car is so cool!

Just getting this version of the Skyline made the DLC worth the money for me at least. 😍

Since it is a Racing Car, I was worried I couldn't use it anywhere, but I can at least use it in Nissan GT-R Cup, haven't tried it anywhere else yet.

More of this please PD! :)

I wonder if the delay with restoring the endurance races is the time it takes to collate and save the data, maybe server side - has anyone tried to resume from a different console?

Just tried the Power Pack and all I can say is that if you're an average player and hope to win a race other than the introductory 3-4-5 lap races then you can forget about it.

I'm definitely an average driver and this A.I. is mercilessly fast compared to me. This AI is humblingly fast and sometimes nearly impossible for human players to keep up with.

To be honest, all I'm here for is the Power Pack car unlocks.
Beeing an average player myself I agree...

But in my opinion the AI in the power pack makes those races so much more enjoyable, because having that battle for a 6th place between 3 equal powered cars over multiple laps with constant takeovers and active opponents makes this 6th place feel much better compared to winning a race in almost all reggie AI races so far...

Unlocked the Skyline and the Porsche so far, and I can't complain... ;)

The difficulty varies across the events. If you find one challenging, switch to another branch. It gives you reason to get better ;)

That's very informative! Why does the game not explain this at all though? Strange.
I'm pretty sure it's not explained, because it's not a save system, it's a backup system. It's not supposed to be used intentionally.

The existence of this backup system heavily suggests to me that a proper save system is actually in development, but didn't quite make it into the release. I bet it will be added very soon in an update.

Agreed. So far, I've been qualifying 4-5 and finishing 4-5.

I don't really care how many credits are paid out.

I have all the cars, some of them multiple times, and almost 70 million in my account. You can't even spend it all. And once you reach 105 million, it doesn't increase any further anyway.
Easy for you to say, even though I've made Cr. 3,390,043,167(without rubber bands & scripts), I'm at under 4,000,000.

And once you reach 105 million, it doesn't increase any further anyway.
The earning cap is 100,000,000. Anything beyond that is paid credits for which there isn't a practical limit.
GT7 still has a maximum "Free" credit cap of 100,000,000. This refers to credits you earn from doing things in the game.

There is no limit* to "Paid" credits. This refers to credits you buy or which are awarded as part of various add-ons/bonuses - like the 25th Anniversary edition or the Power Pack.

This information is also displayed on your in-game wallet.

"Free" credits are spent first. When you run out of "Free" credits to spend, the game dips into your "Paid" credits.
