1. It will be the best driving game ever made by far
2. It will be the best game made this year

This is expected considerind half a decade worth of effort.

Considering this: it's hardly a boast :)

Yeah i have the 60gb ps3 so have to clean up serieusly...

1st time poster so be nice please.
Could size be a possible reason for the number of tracks and cars in GT5?
We've seen other cars and tracks in different builds but could PD have faced an issue with having to pick and choose what to add to the game disc?

this could also explain some videos where cars premium yet the car on the disc is standard (Could swear i have seen a Veyron with un-blacked out windows)

Do we have any indication of how many mb each car could be? what about tracks?

the installation is 10 gb big.

I am sure I read in an interview that to fully utilize all of the games features, will require 40gb of hard drive space.

Link?

Looks like I might need to delete a few GB!

I thought Blu Rays was made of 4 layers with 20 gigz per layer?? correct me if im wrong. Xbox discs can only hold up to 15 gigz right?

I can't seem to find it, so perhaps its a figment of my wild imagination. :dunce:

I do seem to remember it being one of Kaz's Twitters though.

40Gb seems alot, I assume thats assuming you save a lot of replays and save a lot of photomode snaps, I doubt it is just installation figures...at least I hope not. :scared:

I guess it could be space for GT TV downloads....normally downloading 40GB would make you go blind but I doubt GT TV will be like that

so wait if gt5 is almost maxing out the BR .. and yet it only has 70 tracks and 200 premium cars .. could this mean Grand Turismo 6

Out Now On Two Blue Ray Dices

cause i have no idea how PD is gonna fit over 600 premium cars and over 200 tracks .. plus whether effects .. and so much more :nervous: on only one BR:crazy:

Considering how many tracks/cars this game will lack (going by the car list), nowhere near big enough.

I'm sure there's a lot on that disc, but I doubt it's maxed out. I could be wrong but I don't think all those cars and tracks equal 50 gigs. But from what I've heard MGS4 maxed out the disc so maybe it could be an issue with GT5.

For GT6 I'd be happy if they did what Forza 3 did and ship it with two discs. Fill the second one up with cars and tracks and use that purely as an install disc then you only have to worry about the first disc after that.

Hell No!!! Hope its not a dual layered disc like GT4! I remember one of the most horrible things that has happened to me: When GT4 released, my PS2 could not handle it! I remember seeing the loading spinning thingy on GT4 going red, and after two days, it would´nt load the game at all! Had to buy a new PS2, which took me about a month to do so. I cried like a little girl because I waited so much for GT4... I just hope my 4 year old PS3 can handle it.

Plus, whats all that about the 40GB space needed? I HAVE A 40GB PS3!!!, for crying out loud...

I don't know what that dude is talking about. The most I've heard is 10 gigs.

This big, my brother (COD fan) says that this is the biggest release of the year. 'Nuff said.

Yeah... I don't know what he is implying either. Nowhere have I read anything about 40GB

The game installs a little under 7GB's, though it's said that it keeps downloading while you're playing and you need a smudge under 11GB's of space if you wish to install.

Don't count on it. We all assumed the very same thing a few years back with Killzone 2 and GT5P, but now look where we're standing now, Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 and the upcoming Killzone 3 and yours truly GT5 make almost every game except for the PC's precious Crysis look like a joke

We are getting Crysis 2 though even though I really don't care because it seems like any other FPS but with pretty graphics.

I held off and held off have a 40 as well. I ended up buying a 250gb hard drive. $50 well spent

You should replace the HD. Should find a very cheap 160 Gb one.

Beyond installation, you'll need space for photos, replays, tunes you want to listen to while racing, etc.

I did put a 160gig HD in my 40gig PS3. I did it about a year ago.
