I just ran a few more laps with a group of guys. For the first time post patch, I experienced some lag issues in a 250TR race at Nurburgring and Mugello with Arvore. His car seemed to be warping in and out at various places on the track and I couldn't tell exactly where he was. That said, I had my PS3 connected wirelessly and that may have been part of the problem. I'll make sure I have it connected directly into the modem for the event. The other people I was racing with, including ChilledAnt, HinterbergerGT, MHailwood, Estadios and others, all appeared to be smooth and relatively lag free. So over-all, the experience post patch it still positive. I did not run any oval races.

A few additional comments:

- I asked everybody to run default setups. I think the lap times were comparatively close as a result.

- I kind of like the red/white lap system, even though it's rather unforgiving in some places. It does force you to be more accurate.

- Had a great race with MHailwood at Riviera. It's really becoming one of my favorite tracks. Such a great combination and variety of corners.

- Biggles joined us and showed some of his old speed from Ferrari Challenge days and some good proof that he was just struggling to find a competitive setup with the car. (Welcome back Biggles). 👍

The erasure of best laps leaderboards in order to delete the impossible lap times made pre-patch(one of the achievements of this passioned and faithfull community) was COMPLETLY USELESS since the bug persists-e.g. i was doing the arcade mode with my recently tuned(monster truck tune that is but thats for another thread and for the (hopefully)upcoming patch) F430 challenge featuring spa riviera and nuburgring and the leaderboards assumed the time i've made in riviera(1:47:99) in the nuburgring timetable where my best score was 2:04:25 so the problem is still there and probably inadequated lap times will start to show up .
Same s**t now between Misano (did 2.04.--) and Silverstone GP(Where the best times are 2.2-.--) with the T.R.Seems the deletion of the leaderboards was completly useless because the bugs that made impossible times are still there...:grumpy:

Yep, pretty fed up to be honest. It's really Playstation Software Quality hitting such a low.

Did anyone test this game pre-release? How could they miss the setup problems. And now they're going to wipe the leaderboards again? Bloody hell, I mean, I'd prefer if they just completely removed the setups altogether. We'd have better racing, and there would be no mystery about how the car should be setup.

The lap-invalidation is so cheap - they just stuck it outside of the white lines the whole way round the circuit. What a crumby solution. It's legitimate to put four wheels wide at, say, the exit of the Ascari. All racing-series do it, and it's accepted. There are countless other examples across the SCC circuits. Yet the laps are always invalidated.

The controller config problem is still there.

The penalty system has not been changed.

We now have a new Doughnut Bug.

I spent 2 months never having any network problem. After the patch, I've lost connection etc. several times.
