The ultimate summit for precise modelling and rendering this gen.
Apologies for what was a vague statement. The Taycan part is absolutely fine, it's the use of Turbo on an EV which is ridiculous.
Then lets take a look at Forza 7's then, if we are operating under the assumption that a mobile game is not a fair comparison (which, I can see) ?
Kind of does blow GT Sport out of the water a fair bit, but then again, half of the historic GT cars (Which really, is the biggest boon with a good use of the Porsche license) would be pushed into Group X by virtue of PD's crap class structure anyway, so yeah.
Because deep down we're all 12 years old and everything is cooler with turbo.
And aero kits.
I think the Turbo is going to mislead a lot of people I think LOL
Wow a Electric Turbo powered car!!!
Porsche will say Nein it is just a trim.
Those models look like garbage.
That list though. Like this gem.....why?
Great to see an new partnership between Porsche and a games dev team like PD.
Kunos Simulazione also got a great partnership with Porsche in 2016,being assetto the first genuine sim Game to offer the german brand again after EA exclusivity.
Was also great to see that Kunos made the sims of the "Porsche experience centers" with the assetto corsa pro programme.
The car list of the Porsche Cars in assetto is also quite good
911 Carrera RSR
718 Spyder RS
919 Hybrid 2015
962C Long tail
962C Short tail
991 Carrera S
718 Boxster S
718 Boxster S pdk
718 Cayman S
935 78 Moby Dick
911 GT3 RS
Cayman GT4 std
Cayman GT4 Clubsport
991 Turbo S
919 Hybrid 2016
911 GT3 R 2016
911 GT3 Cup 2017
911 GT3 RSR 2017
Those cars would be no match for the 917.
Won't be surprised they could add the Macan knowing PD
Start with the 959. The F40 is lonely.
Why not just please everybody and release the Porsche Unleashed pack, plain and simple all of them. PD will take a month vacation at Stuttgart and laser scan the museum for good.
not even forza is a fair comparison because t10 exports the production of the models to external companies, in addition to having a workforce of over 400 people and therefore they can afford to have many cars in a reasonable time at the expense of the quality of construction, that is not comparable to the PD .
Ps:however there is no need to let people know all the time that you don't like the game.
From what I'm told it won't be happening any time soon.
Without question PD have the best 3D modelling in the entire game’s industry. And I’m not just talking about car titles.
Every car feels likes a jewel. Even subjects I have little interest in I spend time to check out the finer details. Makes you appreciate the cars even more.
Yes it was... but only if you paid for the 3 DLC packs or the season pass, otherwise it was only 3 or 4 cars .
...and so does PD.
That doesn't really matter? Considering that not all 400 people are working on cars, both companies have specific departments for that.
I mean...I can point out the 930 Turbo's headlights, and the FT-1's hexagonal exhaust tips as errors in Polyphony's modeling that they still haven't fixed, and chances are, won't. The modeling process might not be as infallible as people expect it to be?
Free forum, I can criticize the game as much as I want.
Respectfully of course.
Assetto Corsa is unrivalled for Porsche content. Forza has plenty of cars too, but when it comes to the driving experience AC is so far ahead of Gran Turismo and Forza. There is a totally different feeling to driving their fantastic machines there.
When something like the Macan comes to a game it is usually a promotion with the publisher or such.
When Maserati approached Kunos a few years ago about being in Assetto Corsa, the developer had to turn them down as they could not make time to squeeze them in. Maserati came back several months later and said that if you add the Levante, which is their biggest selling model, you can have access to whatever you want from them.
Yeah but we are not talking about exagonal headlights which may be some sort of a lod bug,in forza you have far more poorer material shaders and sometimes totally sproportionated cars.
Like i said before when it comes to car modeling PD are the best,it's a fact.
Yeah Forza 7’s selection of Porsches definitely does put GT sport in shame.
And “x number of employees” isnt an excuse because GT sells way more than enough to hire more employees.
What should matter should consumer is the price, both those games cost 60 bucks so we should be able to compare them.
That's a rendering issue not a modeling one. Those errors don't exist outside of live gameplay.
I'm just happy we've got Porsches in everything now
Yes,they give for free the 3 SUV Cars from Porsche.
But i understand that a small dev company like Kunos goes the DLC way before digital Bros buyed Kunos.
Anyway, now you have also the full edition of the Game with all Cars and tracks launched in a single disc
But don't forget that pretty much all of the cars were added through paid DLC, not free updates.
I bought it on release, and luckily got the season pass when it was on sale .
Completely off topic but does anybody (who played FPS games) gets BF3 vibes watching this trailer?
Back to Topic now HECK YEAH PORSCHE TAYCAN!
Heheh. If only this wasn't true.
You joke. But only the OG Boys remember that Daihatsu Mira bug with very high Horsepower from Turbo in GT6 before PD eventually patched it.
