I bought myself a slick red ZR1 corvette. MAN THAT CAR IS GOOD! It's very good for seasonals buy you need to tune it!! When you buy it it's around 600HP and then you can tune it to be 800+ HP!!! It can tune from 600 to 800+ HP

Great choice:tup: That car is almost too good. Without even tunning it it reaches near 680HP after a couple of kilometers and oil changes.

I couldn't resist when I saw an Audi R8 LMS in Sepangblau Perfleckett pop in my UCD. I grabbed it even when it costs 5mil and I already have a one in Suzukagrau Metallic.
Arrgh now back to grinding for cash.

Purple? Doesn't say but that's what it looks like. I don't recall which paint chip I got when I bought it, if I did at all.

Same here man I wanted green though. The original colour for the FTO LM series.

It doesn't provide one, and I'm pretty sure it's a dark blue and not purple.

Duck's car catalogue classifies it as indigo. I thought it as dark blue at first but if you look enough you can make out his point of putting it down as indigo.

Just snapped up the NISMO 380RS Super Leggera. IMMEDIATELY, I changed that white color to Cayenne Red Metallic. I may just start using up the paint colors I have lots ones of. The most I have is about... 12 Brilliant Black colors. I'll do a few more Seasonals and get me that ASL Garaiya race car (finally).

Smoked a friend's Countach last night at the 'ring with this little gem. Have mine fully racing spec, sports soft tires, wing... painted matte dark green with black rims. Looks interesting!

I gave the Ruf CTR 2 a try. At the end I ended up spending half a million to fix it and improve it a bit. But it was worth it... What a beast!

More buys... mostly of the Premium variety:

* I finally got the ARTA Garaiya race car.

* I also bought the Audis that I didn't have previously, like the first two Audi TT's and the lower-spec Audi R8 road car (the 2007 4.2 FSI R Tronic R8).

* The 2008 BMW M5 and the 2007 Concept 1 Series tii are part of my collection as well.

* I also bought as many Mazdas I have not previously bought from the Premium lot. So that includes the following: '90s MX-5/Miata models, RX-7 models, and the Autozam AZ-1.

* That "as many as possible" also pertained to Nissan models I don't have. Without exhausting too much of my funds, all I got was that S13 Silvia.


At this point, I've mostly halted searching for as many unique Standard cars and just focus on Premium cars I don't yet have. And of course, I am only focusing on cars I can actually AFFORD in the game with my current finances. So I'm not going to say that I have the Ferrari 330 P4 unless I actually buy it (having it as a gift or winning it as a prize doesn't count, since this is a BUYING thread).

Well not today but yesterday i bought a Nissan Skyline GT R (R34) because i was watching a video on you tube from drag races on Russia (amazing luxury and crazy track there) and saw one of those with 900HP destroying a Bugatti Veyron (stock,fail start but it could not pass the Nissan lol) and i said: "well i think i need to try tuning one of those...O_O"
Then of course i could not reach that amount of HP in the game but almost 800HP and that car is a beast for drag.

Drag racing is not my favourite at all, i was just looking for some races on you tube and found that amazing channel. For drag fans this is the best channel. Amazing videos.

Yeah, one of the latest cool things I've learned in GT5, its to test the turbo kits with care. In the case of the bimmer, I go with a mid-rpm one. As its a diesel, it's on the low-mid rpm that things happen. But, its an awesome little car anyway, with a good setting.

And, the best thing is saying to your friends: "I've smoked you in a diesel"

I came across with the Chevrolet Chevelle 454 today. It's hard to believe how easy that thing builds up horsepower. Just an oil change, the engine overhaul and the sports exhaust (which surprisingly it still makes it sound like a V8) and it's pushing more than 500 horsepower. I have no idea how much you can make when tunning it to the max...

Also:

I finally found a little hatchback that I was looking for a long time, the Peugeot 106 Rallye Edition. Still haven't tried it, but I will this afternoon. Cant wait to put dirt and snow tires on it

The Chevelle is a monster, but its one of the hardest muscle cars to corner. I'm one of that guys that believe in any car, and my new challenge is to build classic muscle cars that can corner at least in a passable way. The Chevelle its a hard challenge, but I'll get there

The Peugeot 106? It's fantastic. You'll not believe how this little thing corners. Well, it was one of the best cornering cars in the world by Top Gear and some other publications some years ago.

I finally got a hold of the elusive CTR Yellow Bird. I found the RGT as well.

As for the RGT, I have to say that it's an awesome and easy car to drive. Never expected that from a RR 400HP car. It will snap oversteer in some ocassions, but it's nothing serious.

As for the Yellow Bird, I haven't tried it yet since I ran out of credits to fix it. I've seen how the A.I struggles to keep it straight, so I believe that it's going to be like a heartattack on wheels. I preffer the BTR, but I haven't found it yet.

Then just put the LSD without touching it, and those rear wheels will start spinning evenly. It's like driving a RWD.

The RGT is one of the best road cars in the game. I've developed a very controlable tune for it and painted it in the GT3/GT3RS colors. Got 4 of these beauties and still can't resist when I see another one.

I tried the CTR Yellow Bird that I mentioned a couple of posts above, and all I have to say is that car is CRAZY! I didn't bother on modifying the engine, but I put some sport softs on it. It has a great steering response and it feels like it grips well in any situation, but without any notice it will loose the rear end heavily! Add that to the fact that I turned off the ABS since it's an 80's car, and I'm sure it shouldn't have...

It's not impossible to drive, but it takes a couple of laps to get used to. I can't drive it to its limits though....
