Japanese consumers will get a bonus in the form of two 15th Anniversary Edition cars when they pre-order a copy of GT6 at a participating retailer, as announced on the official site earlier this week.
The special Ford Focus ST and Toyota 86 will be made available via product download code, and will be distributed in “limited quantities”, on a “first-come, first-served basis”.
These two cars are, of course, among the 25 other 15th Anniversary Edition vehicles featured in the full Anniversary Edition of GT6.

2 cars that are already in the game….only modded and with a new livery. To me…that’s not an incentive. I already made the mistake of getting the tuned car pack for GT5.
An incentive would be a car pack with 6-7 cars like Huayra, LaFerrari, Agera, some classic Alfa Romeo, one of the prototypes show in the latest trailers, etc…
Well it’s a Japanese market incentive first of all and secondly the Gamestop 15 anniversary pre order bundle has like 20 plus cars bundled in it, one of them being that Audi R-18 LMP prototype…in the special livery.
I think if you pre order GT6 non anniversary edition you get the same early access models in the anniversary edition but no special livery.
What i’m woundering is why no one has mentioned about in the review mirror there’s no smoke or dust to be seen!!!!!

I have only been casually been following the news regarding the launch of GT6, but they better have a premium Nismo 400R, and the inside wall of the car tyres better be modelled too. These are the only two things I am looking for, everything else, is meh.
This will make maybe 6 people happy in the entire world. If I were to make a game i would actually give worth while cars like a camaro or a supra not a FF pos focus and yet another brz or a 86 gt or whatever rendition that is. I mean wheres some common sense. If it were race modded versions of the focus or 86 then YES please but stock heck no.
Well the 15th anniversary ones are special, they have more upgrades I believe.
I would be happy. ST rules and GT is a fun car, its not all about racing.
All these 15 anniversary cars looks great, even though the race cars needs race numbers. The Nissan GTR GT3 looks like something I will most likely use the most out of the five pre order cars.
When you consider the fact that GT5 sold very badly in Japan, I’m not suprised by this move on PD part to add a pre-order incentive.
Maybe it just wasn’t good enough.
15th Anniversary liveries looks pretty lame to me. Stealth Cars looks so much better. They have carbon fiber, matte paing, gloss paint and the livery is more racey. They also have a race number.
The best pre order incentive should come in the form of a complete GT6 with the sound quality and content that we all deserve..
I am sure it is going to be very good though.
Just don’t rely on some weird coloured cars to sell the game.

But not everyone can afford a wheel, or even want one for that matter…
Even with gamepad will be more fun to drive cars if physics is more real.
For who, the casual player who doesn’t care (or know) about physics or the hardcore sim racer? Pretty sure sim racers don’t make up anywhere near the amount the customers who buy GT.
Sooner or later all will become sim racers when they start to drive real cars because in the real world there is only one physics,hardcore physics.
L10, I do drive real cars and have raced them too, GT is accurate enough to help me become a better driver, and that’s not even GT6.
But again, it’s a game and just like with real cars with different setups, a good driver must adapt to the physics engine.
Those 2 cars look quite nice. I do agree with Deko though it is the birthplace of GT games so they do deserve more.
I can’t help but feel sorry for Japanese gamers. That’s the birthplace of Gran Turismo, yet, they get all the leftovers from our American/European offers. GT Academy has reached its peak, but still, Japan does not give their local players a chance at the event.

I bought PS2 and PS3 only for GRAN TURISMO,I like GRAN TURISMO graphics,laser scanned tracks,cars I LIKE THIS GAME BUT I WANT MORE REAL PHYSICS AND I WILL FIGHT FOR IT!
Loser10, I agree with you to a certain extent but PD work on an evolutionary basis, gradual improvements to the game each time it is released, they have to cater for more casual gamers and they also want to keep that unique Gran Turismo feel.
But I agree with the fact that they need to work harder on the core of the game such as physics, engine and environmental sounds and also Ai. Graphics are as good if not better than any racing game out there while keeping a realistic look.
Guess we will have to wait and see what they bring to the table in the final release of the game.

Exactly, you’ve played the GTA demo. If you’ve head from people that have played the newer builds, they say the physics are better than they were. Like others have said, wait for the game to actually release before you say it has bad physics.
The physics didnt change much to the typical casual gamers but to tuners and actuall good drivers yes it really did, in a very large and good way.

What new track is in the desert and has blue curb run off? And is that a cactus I see? Willow springs? Bathurst? IDK.
I doubt it’s Bathurst. There’s no part of the course that flows that way? The only flat left hand corner that could be is either the first, last, or the one after the long downhill straight, and none of them would have a part of the track visible behind it like that image has.

All I know about either car is what I’ve seen of them on Top Gear. I still would have the 25 15th anniversary cars to drive from the GameStop pre-order. It’s all good, I’m happy for Japan players.
It’s a random choice, but both cars are cool. That Focus is really nice. I wish they kept the Volvo L5 Turbo in it though.

This are after the 1200 cars. The point I make though is that he says those (reffering to the Pre-order cars) aren’t coming to the US, all the while there is a huge list (That’s been there since E3) of 25 Pre-order cars, which includes both of these and its offered by Gamestop, a US game company.
And about a year later the rest of the world gets them. Ala Stealth cars.
Chrome cars were never released to the public outside of the special edition of GT5, so these could remain exclusive as well.
They should never go back on exclusives unless stated as “timed” bad marketing and could lose trust on next pre-order. Always loved taking my chromes online, they were that slightly bit fastest then normal cars.
