Toyota S-FR Playable in Gran Turismo 6 at Tokyo Motor Show

Toyota revealed their tiny new Toyota S-FR concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show yesterday, and simultaneously showcased the vehicle in what appears to be a special Gran Turismo 6 demo. As confirmed by Polyphony Digital’s Japanese PitStop blog, the little car will be coming to “the Gran Turismo series” in the future.

Sony Executive Jim Ryan Confident in GT Sport Release Date

As you know by now, Gran Turismo Sport was announced at last night’s Paris Games Week PlayStation Press Conference and is currently earmarked for a 2016 release, confirmed on the official PlayStation Blog, with a public beta expected to make way next Spring.

As part of the flurry of activity and announcements surrounding the reveal of Gran Turismo Sport at Paris Games Week today, an interesting bit of information was revealed as Polyphony Digital updated their official site: the GT series has now sold over 75 million copies:

The next chapter of the Gran Turismo series was officially revealed during Sony’s presentation at Paris Games Week today! As early reports indicated, the new PlayStation 4 game will be called “Gran Turismo Sport”, and the previously announced FIA Online Championship will take center stage in the new title.

Justin Wilson Charity Auctions Includes GT Academy Items

This past August, tragedy struck in IndyCar, when Justin Wilson was involved in a fatal accident at Pocono Raceway. It marked the second death in as many months in professional motorsports, with Jules Bianchi passing away the month previous due to injuries he suffered in 2014. In Bianchi’s case, it was the first death related to an on-track accident in F1 since Ayrton Senna’s in 1994; for Wilson, the first since Dan Wheldon in 2011.
