Talks of the next entry in the Test Drive Unlimited franchise have begun once again. Benoit Clerc, head of publishing at Nacon (formerly Bigben Interactive) confirmed the game as currently in development at Kylotonn in an interview with GamesBeat.

In April, Bigben Interactive announced its plans to release an official game for the FIA Euro Truck Racing Championship. Suffice to say, this will be a sim racer exclusively featuring hulking big rigs, the first of its kind. It joins the likes of official WRC, Blancpain GT, and Formula 1 games in the genre.

Kylotonn has shown off the first in-game footage of its new FIA European Truck Racing Championship. In it, racers can check out the big rigs as they rumble through Italy’s Misano circuit.

Another racing series is joining the WRC, Formula 1, and Blancpain GT by getting its own, official sim racer. However, it’s probably not the series you might expect. Thanks to Bigben Interactive, gamers will get a chance to conquer the FIA European Truck Racing Championship this summer.

If you’re looking forward to checking out Kylotonn’s upcoming WRC 8, then you’re in luck. Kicking off later this week, the developers will host a live stream showing off the game.
