Alpine Releases Vision Gran Turismo “Inspirations” Video

Renault has published a special creative video to celebrate their Alpine Vision Gran Turismo project car, which was released in last week’s GT6 update 1.17.

It’s an artistic, SpeedRacer-inspired video that combines animation techniques with Gran Turismo 6 gameplay footage. It’s definitely worth a watch, especially if you’re a fan of the car.

I boxed my PS3 a while ago but maybe will give it to my brother, anyway is this video available inside the game? I think it the one I liked the most so far

When was the last time you guys heard the original A-Ha track? Unless you are talking about a remix, I just do not hear it …

@JohnyPiston.. You assume I mean the music. My comment was to refer to my other comment for reference. I don’t believe the tunes are similar at all, not even a little bit. The similarity is in the animation sequence, which to me seems completely obvious.

Loved the vid. Something offtopic..few months if not a year i saw a post of PD taking pictures of the P45 competizione…and a old.alfa romeo…it is me or it got removed???

I’ve always been pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of so much Alpine content on GranTurismo. Kaz & I, it turns out, were both big fans when we were young. The A110 was replaced by the Lancia Stratos in my mind as an ideal car, just as the Lancia superseded the Alpine in rally competition. Great to see more Alpine content. Hope they are seriously returning to the market in 2016/17.

Glad Renault/Alpine published this online instead of in the update. Only got 10 GB left on my SSD. Thanks for the bonus content.

Nice one. Hope this inspires other manufacturers to do more with their VGT cars too. Seems a wasted opportunity for recent VGT cars to not build a static model to take to motorshow displays at the very least. Should be using them in adverts, building rough running prototypes to star in car magazine articles (just like that last Alpine a few years back), and do fun things like this video.

Sounds like a remix of the Tron soundtrack from the most recent movie. (As I wrote this I realized Daft Punk wrote that soundtrack :D)

    Cool vid!!!
Speed Racer-ish mashed into Gran Turismo esq…
1st thing that came to mind in the animation was the old A-ha “take on me” 80’s music video.
