Forza Horizon 3 Adds Meyers Manx, Toyota FJ40 & More in Week 4 Reveals

Another week, and another list of cars set to be included in the upcoming Forza Horizon 3. Last week’s additions focused on European classics like the Ferrari 166M and Jaguar Mk II; the list unveiled today (care of Autoblog) focuses on the vehicles more likely to be spotted off the road than on it. Here are the 30 cars set for inclusion next month:

Forza Racing Championship Season One Announced: Winner Gets a 2017 Focus RS

After weeks of teasing, Turn 10 has unveiled its bid for the burgeoning eSports segment. Dubbed the Forza Racing Championship, the ESL-hosted event will be open to all Forza Motorsport 6 players, with numerous prizes up for grabs. At the top of the pile is a brand new 2017 Focus RS, provided by the first season’s title sponsor.

PWC at Mid-Ohio: Parente Extends Lead, Heitkotter Nabs Podium Finish

After a month-long break, the Pirelli World Challenge got underway again last weekend, with Rounds 14 & 15 taking place at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Heading in, Alvaro Parente (K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S GT3) enjoyed a 52-point lead over Patrick Long (Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R), with Michael Cooper (Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R) a further 66 points back.

GTPlanet’s GT3 Time Trial Contest Results: Congrats to Our Winners!

We went old school last month, dusting off the old PS2 to celebrate Gran Turismo 3’s 15th anniversary. It was a nostalgic trip down memory lane, one that wasn’t complete without a bit of competition. We introduced a Time Trial Contest using the game, where the fastest GTPlanet member could win a prize. Not to be left out, those that didn’t have access to the game could guess the final time of yours truly, as I tried to keep pace with the aliens that make up our community. Today, we’re announcing the winners.

Kazunori Yamauchi: GT Sport Could (Eventually) Feature Up To 500 Cars

While GT Sport’s recent Chinese tour hasn’t yielded much in terms of new content, the interviews PD president Kazunori Yamauchi has taken part in have shed light on a variety of subjects. We’ve heard about the plan to involve F1 coaches in the FIA Championships, and saw a reduction in the race track locations in the game. To balance out the track news, the game could see a massively increased car count via post-release support, according to the latest interview (conducted by A9VG, and helpfully translated in our forums by GTPlanet member Yui-san).

You Could Get Lessons From a Real F1 Coach in GT Sport (If You’re Fast Enough)

As ACG 2016 continues in Hong Kong, more details about GT Sport are revealed. If you missed it, our article yesterday covered multiple subjects: new images, slightly reduced counts for the events and track locations, and a recap of the Advanced Matchmaking System. An interview with Kazunori on A9VG.com sheds further light on the title and how the eSports focus will play out.

Assetto Corsa Teases Record-Setting Porsches: 917/30 & Panamera

Well now this is an odd pairing. Kunos Simulazioni has continued to tease the contents of its upcoming Porsche expansion packs for Assetto Corsa, hot on the heels of previous hints (first the 935/78, then the Carerra RSR 3.0). The latest two additions certainly cover a broad spectrum: the 2017 Porsche Panamera and the 1973 Porsche 917/30.

Turn 10 Reveals Additional 40 Forza Horizon 3 Cars Early

Yesterday, we saw the latest batch of car reveals for Forza Horizon 3. The Australian media got an exclusive early look before the official site was updated today. However, it looks like someone accidentally released next week’s list early.

First Assetto Corsa Porsche Expansion Video Surfaces

The fourth round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship happened at the Nurburgring this past weekend. Held on the Grand Prix circuit, it was a hard-fought battle between the Porsche and Audi prototypes, with the Stuttgart manufacturer clinching it at the end of 194 laps.

NASCAR Heat Evolution Official Trailer Arrives Before September 13 Release

Despite showing up in numerous titles over the past few years — Gran Turismo 6, Forza Motorsport 6, Project CARS, iRacing — NASCAR has yet to enjoy a dedicated game on current consoles. That will finally change in less than two months, with NASCAR Heat Evolution set to arrive on PS4, XB1, and PC September 13. Check out the trailer above.

Kazunori’s M6 GT3 Race Car Confirmed For GT Sport?

One of the most well-represented racing classes in Gran Turismo Sport is set to see its ranks grow by at least one more car, if an Instagram post from endurance racer Matias Henkola is to be believed. During the Nürburgring 24 Hour race last month — where GT Sport was playable for fans — Henkola and the rest of the team had access to a special private build of the game, where their Walkenhorst race car was made available for crucial virtual seat time.

GTPlanet’s Gran Turismo 3 Time Trial Contest

As you may have just read, GT3 celebrated an important 15 year milestone today. On July 20, 2001, the game became available in Europe following earlier roll-outs in North America and Japan. To celebrate, we’re holding a little contest, with two prizes up for grabs.
