The last hour with the Cadillac vs Porsche battle was epic :D

(I miss the LMP2 cars in the wec, in imsa there are really awesome battles, teams and drivers)

Porsche have advantaged BOP in IMSA just as Ferrari for the same in WEC. Change my mind.

Just wait a few rounds until it's the next guy's turn. The whole thing has been completely artificial for a long time now (IMSA is worse though). But hey, all the stakeholders get to take turns getting wins to support their marketing campaigns for cars nobody can afford anymore. Once they added the imaginary energy limitations I was pretty much out other than for the spectacle and tradition of the 24 hour races. Daytona has not been very fun to watch lately though.
On a related note, not sure why IMSA even bothers to give out penalties, especially in a 24 hour race, when the safety car rules completely nullify all of it anyway. There is no actual reward for clean driving and flawless execution. Nobody can actually build a lead and then you get to listen to commentators blow a bunch of smoke about parity and how close the racing is even though you know it has nothing to do with who actually designed a better car or has better drivers. Might as well just have a 2 lap no holds barred sprint race when nothing that happens during the first 23 hours matters as long as you just don't total your car.

Starting my journey of sorting through the nearly 14,000 photos I took and picking the best ones to keep & edit.

F1 (the movie) impact? :D
I mean, I'd be ok with that. As much as the F1 movie bugged me on the whole, the opening Daytona sequence was honestly one of the best ads for IMSA I've ever seen.

Hi all,

I'm looking for an assist. I'm wanting to replicate a livery on GT7, but I cannot find a single image of the car I'm thinking of, nor can I remember which year, and who drove it. I just remember the livery was awesome.

Its a Porsche, Daytona 24hr, GTD or GTD Pro the main colour was like a metallic turquoise colour. I have looked at spotters guides and all sorts, dating back to 2018, however I am certain this car only goes back up to 4 years.

Does this ring any bells? Google is no use

Thank you all

Could it be the Wright Motorsports 1st Phorm Porsche from 2022?

That's the only thing that really comes to my mind.

Edit: There was also this Porsche run by Andretti Autosports for the 2024 Indy 6-hour.

Neither of those. The primary colour was closer to the second image, but more of a metallic finish. Black detailing instead of white. Knowing my luck I'll be completely wrong about it being Daytona 🤣

Only other thing I came across was Wright Motorsports' 2020 livery.

If that isn't it, then I genuinely haven't a clue. :boggled:

Unfortunately it's neither of those. I am beginning to wonder if I am thinking of the wrong race/series. I've only started watching more American racing since Scott McLaughlin moved to Indycar, and Shane Van Gisbergen to NASCAR. They have both had call ups for things like Daytona, Sebring, etc.

One day I'll find it. Thank you all for looking

Chip Hart racing from 2024? The Brad Pitt car for the F1 movie.

Definitely not the Chip Hart car. Nice livery though. I do like that one.

Not a gt4. I do remember that much.

I'll keep googling. When I find it (because I will) I'll let you know, because I can tell some are invested in this now just like I am 🤣

Here is Sheena Monk’s recent interview, where she talks about driving for Myers Riley in 2026, bouncing back from losing her previous seat and adapting to a top-tier team. A great watch for IMSA fans.

I FOUND IT!

First off, I'd like to thank you all for taking the time to help me search for this Porsche livery.

I thought for certain, i had seen it drive Daytona, but I was very wrong. The livery in question. 2021 Carlos Rivas,Team Black falcon. German Porsche Carrera Cup

Forgot this forum existed for a while. I know IMSA/WEC doesn't get much chat on here, but I was relatively pleased with the 24 Hours of Daytona.

Going forward, I have to say I was surprised to see Wayne Taylor Racing getting the last LeMans Hypercar spot - considering they've really been struggling the past 2-3 years. I admit I would have rather seen the Whelen car go - as it's outperformed the Taylor team cars pretty solidly the past few seasons.

As usual the Michelin Pilot Sport (insert whatever the yearly name of the support series is...) Challenge was excellent.

Bring on Sebring.

The entry list for the 2026 12 Hours of Sebring has been published.

Of particular note, the JDC-Miller Porsche 963 has picked up sponsorship from Mustang Sampling, and will have its race number changed to #5 from #85. JDC-Miller will also be running an LMP2 car at Sebring. This round will also see the global competition debut of the Temerario GT3, with Pfaff Motorsports running the car in GTD Pro.

GetSpeed, 75 Express (which I could've sworn was going to run the full Michelin Endurance Cup this year), the AF Corse LMP2 car and the #343 Inter Europol Oreca will be absent, as will the Magnus Racing Aston. This is also expected to be the 2nd and final round for the GTD Pro Winward Mercedes. I'm still kinda hoping that a good result here, along with their podium finish in Daytona, could maybe be enough to keep the team going for at least the remaining MEC rounds.
