That 6 hour and 33 minute fog induced FCY was the longest Safety Car period in Daytona's history. It was also the perfect time for me to go to sleep and miss as little as possible.

My friends have kindly invited me to join them for a big football match in the Scottish Premier League this afternoon - top of the table clash between our club, Hearts, and the dominant team in Scottish football, Celtic.

However, I am sorely tempted to bring my iPad with me so I can watch this race in the background - but I don't know how well that would go down with my mates...😅 Fortunately, the game will be over by 5pm GMT, so I should be home for the final hour of the race.

Yeh, not great having such a long FCY, but not badly timed really!

And at least the race has restarted, unlike the Nurb 24h in 2024...

It feels disappointing.
