has anyone else lost their Race Essentials in one of the recent CSP updates? I had to reinstall, making it forget all my PBs (grr), then it disappeared again in 2.60 and I couldn't get it back other than by going back to 2.5 and reinstalling again. Or is it an unrelated problem?

Still not pitting in the race. Just tested a full 20 laps race with your new settings and parked my car on the grass before the pitlane and waited til the end. Not one car pitted.

They should run out of fuel with my car settings but they won't. They continue til' the end without pitting with fuel amount that should be insufficient. But it's not a huge issue as I can keep this as a 15 lap race instead of 20. Still weird... never seen this happen in any other track.

Ok, for sure the problem does not come from the pitlane.ai now.
Have you made your test for another layout of Buenos Aires? To check if it is specific to this layout or not.
And have you checked the amount of fuel in the cars during the race? At the start and at the end? To know if they start with a sufficient amount of fuel or if they don't have enough fuel but they still run with an amount of 1 lap.

Are you using RARE to force them to stop?
On my side, I'm completing the real layout of 1995-1998 F1 seasons. I did not make tests regarding the pitstops, I'll try but i have some problems with RARE, so I'm not confident about the result.

Has something changed in the last few CSP builds that makes cam-facing crowds progressively fill as you get closer?
It's like people are getting teleported in one-by-one as you approach them.
Is there some new wonderful performance tick box that has been activated by default to make them look this crappy?
It's not even subtle or far away enough to not be noticeable. It's REALLY obvious.

Theres some options in Track adjustments but i don't think that would solve your issue (apart from getting rid of the whole crowd thing).

Maybe the track LODs in Graphic adjustments?

I think something may have changed that impacted track adjustments, but not sure what. I started getting a microstutter a few seconds in after loading a track (usually a 10 fps drop). Disabling the track adjustments completely has fixed it. As that influences dynamic crowds, do you still have that problem if you disable track adjustments?

I'm also getting something similar to what you're mentioning with grassfx, where I see the grass being generated as I approach it, but likely unrelated.

That's, I think a wrong WIP KN5 snuck into the last patch. There's a bigger update for this car coming in the next one. If you have the backup from the previous version, please can you try using that one for now?

@Tetri - thanks for the suggestions, but it wasn't either of those.

@protoss - THANK YOU. It's the Track Adjustments extension. Once unticked, the crowds are there in all their glory from the furthest viewpoint. No more teleporting. Man, it looks so much better.

More investigation needed, but you've put me on the right path.

Edit: no combo of the various spectator-related tickboxes seems to make any difference to crowds teleporting in, the only thing that seems to work is disabling the whole Track Adjustments extension.

No worries. The microstutter was so annoying and I was getting nowhere changing individual options, that I just started disabling entire extensions one by one to narrow it down.

After seeing that it was Track Adjustments, I started disabling options there to see if I could identify which one was causing it. But, in my case, only disabling the entire extension fixed the problem.

That's the only thing that worked for me too.
Thanks again for taking time to suggest it. Those teleporting crowds looked ridiculous and were driving me mad.

Edit: with the Track Adjustments extension disabled, Pure is now giving me an error about not being able to use midsummer sun angles.

Another twist in the tale: Track Adjustments extension needs to be active for the Jumbotrons to work, at Imola anyway.
CSP is the gift that keeps on giving... headaches.

Edit:, yep, Brno to needs the TA extension active otherwise the jumbotrons break.
No idea if all jumbos on all tracks are similarly affected.

Is this the only way to scale Kunos UI to 4k?
It looks small now but I don't have to squint my eyes too much, it's manageable.

My real problem here is that I'm very used to this elegant AC add-on, "Text Flags", worked so well in 2K but it gets scaled down and de-centered in 4K. Also it annoys the hell out of me to move to windowed mode.

Move to flag cue apps, maybe?

Hi guys, I’m pretty new here in terms of posting but a long time reader.
For some reason my screen is flickering under certain light circumstances, mostly during dawn. It’s not like the sun is gently appearing now and then in a natural way, more like an on/off button.
Hopefully someone knows a specific tick to fix this.
Using the latest Pure and CSP 2.05.

I also asked this question at the Assetto Reddit group and there I added a small video of this happening 5/6 times.

Welcome.

I havent seen it that bad before but i have had slight changes in the lighting.

I am pretty sure someone had this issue a while ago and it was to do with the VAO patch in the track folder.

If it has a VAO remove it from the folder and see if it makes a difference

Thats all i can suggest with my limited knowledge

I wanted to do some WEC races at Portimao with Pyyer's fabulous 2023 extension but every time there are multiple cars that barrel roll out of the race because the AI go side by side into the first hairpin and the car on the inside drives over the yellow sausage curb, and it happened also into turn 8 or 'Samsung' corner. Sadly there is no AI mod at Overtake that would fix that issue, and I don't have any idea how to record my own AI lines

Guessing here, but most likely the ai sidelines are set very wide and go over the kerbs. Only way to fix that is too record new sidelines that don't clip the kerbs.

Something I see so often on tracks and why I always have to record new sidelines. The track maker only records the ai line and disregards the sidelines. So the ai tool uses the outer edges of the track as the recorded sidelines, which typically gets them too deep into the kerbs. If the car mod is especially bouncy, when they hit the kerbs they end up going into a roll.

It is supposed to be. Roadster and clubman version use the original one, they are identicals (Third version will be different).

Must be a hiccup on the material side. I'll look into it

Still got the third one coming soon... And it's my favorite one... You just need to press Pasta for the liveries haha

EDIT : @Fanapryde and @Breathe Okay I find the culprid, stupid mistake. I'll send the correction to Pasta to upgrade on RD, you can do it yourself directly, just change lights.ini in the data with this one : Copy, rename and change extension of course :)

So the problem is less the AI lines and more the sidelines? If I were to record new updated sidelines that don't extend onto the curbs the AI would be forced to stay within them? Could doing that also break the existing Ai lines if the ideal line come too close to the sideline?
