Fix for proper shadows in the cockpit for the:

Matra MS630 BRM WSC60 (i think the right name is MS630 and not M630)

Copy & paste these line to the ext_config.ini

;fix shadow-casting light in cockpit
[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE = 1
MATERIALS = MATRA_GLASS
CAST_SHADOWS = 0

We'll have a look at these and see if we can implement different alpha values, appreciate you listing them - feel free to DM me a list of all the ones you've found.

Also, small piece of trivia: the 2 litre car (and the Ford 289 version) was the 'M630' or just 'type 630' and then the partnership with Simca meant that they got rebranded the 'MS630'. At least, that's what I read but I wouldn't be shocked if that's wrong.

Any period entry list just refers to 'Matra Sport' and doesn't have any designation. Anyway, we're keeping the 'MS630' moniker in case it's needed in future...

Updates include:
  • new tyres, somewhere between V8Corsa and BCRC
  • CSP functionality with wipers, lights, flames etc
  • upscaled interior textures
  • fixed driver animations to avoid clipping through the steering wheel

Good call - I did not notice with Brave browser but just wanted a host that I didn't need to create an account for.

Replaced with a Mediafire link.
Even better, my Mediafire account still had the original uploaded files that I had lost from my PC, including the PSD skin templates for these! I have updated the archive so it includes the templates as well.

Downloaded bahrain_2020_1_12_by_Blackcelica and the sand has disappeared lmao

Was there ever a fix about it ? Fenryr's version might be better and more complete but I've got FPS drops on the staight it's killing me.

I'm slowly getting into lua scripts, but this particular field (loading screens, textures and related UI adds) i've never attempted. What are your main issues?
Mostly that I don´t figure out how to get a smooth layout, like less space between the titles (car name & track name) and description. Currently looks not that good (see my screenshot I posted earlier). Always tried to attempt to bring a modern loading screen to AC, and we have the base in CSP but no one did it yet. ACUIR was to be to make this happen when reaching 1.0 but it got stucked at 0.8 without further developing.

Following up on the request for a better internal SFX for the fantastic Ferrari F40 v1.7 by @Young78 (aka F40_LMLover) shared recently. This is not a 100% copy of the lovely, raw, external sounds for this car, but it is significantly more to my taste, and I think, accurate. I certainly haven't driven an F40, but I have been on the pit wall at Kyalami during a Supercar open day, when it went by less than 4m from me. To quote Clarkson "I think I've had a crisis!" It was a wall of sound I'll never forget.
Anyhoo, I ran it by @Masscot and we agree it's an improvement.

So, if you don't already have it, go and get another pearl (string of, really) from the same modder, the Ferrari F40 Competizione/LM Pack(v1.4) There are three cars in the pack. You only need to install the Stradale version, but I mean, while you're there, right?
Now use Content Manager to replace the sound in the F40 v1.7 mod, with the SFX from the F40 Competizione Stradale. I backed the original SFX files up before. You do you.

And then add this to the car's ext_config.ini:

ENGINE_EXT_RPMS = (| 0=0 | 8000=7200 |)
ENGINE_INT_RPMS = (| 0=0 | 8000=7200 |)

Thanks for this, it's a definite improvement over the original's very muffled cockpit audio.
The external audio on @Young78 's standard F40s is absolutely sublime, superbly capturing the raw brutality of Maranello's finest creation. This is great news for all chase cam drivers out there, but not so good for us who sit in the cockpit.
Is anybody able to remove all the fictional cabin sound damping on this car without having to resort to CSP's global external-internal audio swap? The F40 should sound like it's trying to kill you at all times when driving, because that's what it's actually trying to do. It's only being honest with you.
 
I tried restarting the computer and that didn't work. Bringing up the task master didn't show anything either. I think I'm just going to bring back the last version and leave it at that. Maybe one day down the road I'll look at that new file and it will be released.
Have you tried right clicking on the file and then setting "open with" you should be able to find 7zip in that list.

Yes tried that too. 7zip wasn't on the list. Unless 7zip didn't install correctly. But I see the 7zip program folder so I assumed it installed correctly.

Another new track and another optimization needed, which I have started.

320fps vs 242fps - my version vs original.

These figures are with offline 1 car. Kunos original tracks are at 330-350fps in my current config at 2.7K resolution.

Great work on these btw, If you ever feel like wanting to update them with new 3D models lmk, i have more "high" quality 3D models in my archive.
 
Over the past few years i've made a bunch of little mods here and there for the original Monza track. It was starting to get difficult to manage without making it hard to revert back to the stock Monza look. So awhile back I decided to make a separate Monza track that only has the mods i've done and call it Monza 2025 (no real reason for the name). It's nice because I have set it up so I can hide and un-hide certain objects (like some of the bridges) depending on the year of the cars i'm racing or if i'm simply running practice laps.

I've never thought it was anything special that made it worth sharing, but recently i've done some things that makes me think some people might be interested. First I watched a replay of the 2025 GT World Challenge race and thought the track could use some sponsors like I saw in the video. So I borrowed and fixed (mostly for flickering and uv mapping) some assets from the monza2022crf track and made some of my own to make a reasonable representation of the sponsor placement from what I could see in the video. Then @Masscot released his active airspace mod for Spa and I thought Monza would look cool with some of those features. So I added them as well.

I think everything turned out kind of cool looking and wondered if anyone would be interested in a copy when i'm done?

Crikey, that video reminded me just how bad the shapeshifting Moire interference pattern is on the pit buildings at Spa. It's like something cooked up in the 1960s by the CIA's brainwashing department.

Remove the .txt extension from the attached and unzip to your Spa track folder. I included this fix in the extension folder of my recent 'Spa active airspace' mod, but doing it this way should be a global fix for all various routes and extensions etc.

I have to admit I did not notice the moire before, but now I could not unsee it. :)

Fun fact: SPA in ACC and the "brand new" Evo engine has the same moire as OG AC. :lol:
