Look at F1 2020 sparks mod by LS tech.

I think these are the best looking modern F1 sparks ever made. At least to my eye. Sparks in F1 25 aren't good.

This is what AC modders should try to achieve. Or have probably achieved already?

I can't stop playing this game, it's unbelievably good. Amazing combo... first one race in AC ASR 1993 season, then jump to modern F1. 1.5 hours of pure sim racing heaven.

I quit modding 6 months ago... just 100% sim racing now.

Prolly you already have them...

URD Ferrari 296 ver 2 was just published. It seems that ver 1 skins do not work on ver 2. Any tricks out there to make them work?

It’s not the same car…
At all.
PS: I pray everyday for the health of URD fellows.

I can't stop playing this game, it's unbelievably good.

Why, are u trying? 😁

Hi.
For anyone who is interested in making DRS era F1 cars racing more authentic, welcome here.
View attachment 1514117

Sure, but this feature is something else entirely. It's not just a matter of enabling or disabling DRS.

1. DRS only activates after two laps;
2. DRS only activates if you're within one second of the car in front of you.
3. The leader in the standings will never be able to activate DRS;
4. DRS doesn't activate in rainy conditions.

You'll also always have the telemetry of the car in front of you and a signal as to whether or not you can activate DRS.

There's currently no such feature in AC. Try it and you'll be surprised.

For Point 3., shouldn't the leader be allowed to use the DRS when he is outlapping late runners ? Anyway, that's a nice addition, I was about to add a DRS system in my DumbAI (not based on a car script) but I'd be happy to forward to yours as I usually do not use DRS cars, no need to code it twice.

I was surprised the website says it is necessary to use a car script to avoid stuttering only with a DRS check situation: a 144Hz refresh should stutter only if the app takes more than around 7 ms to compute its step, or am I missing something ?

[MrHunt]

Anyone fancies animating suspensions for the 1984 mod ?

Imma do the rest (like add - some - GP configurations) but susp are outta my league lol

Skin-Release

The unique, legendary, unrivaled and Senna-destroying Stefan Bellof (Imo). Unfortunately he died far too early, but with this skin I'm bringing him back to life in your minds. It's just the ****dream mod but better than nothing.
It's the Monaco 1984 skin, with the funny DISCOSTAR advertising.

Bellof

Sorry for the missalignment, missing stripes etc. but it's a simdream Mod the texture mapping is distributed over 3...

Hi. Leader will have drs available again when he will be behind lapped car within 1 sec. Where did You read this: ''I was surprised the website says it is necessary to use a car script to avoid stuttering only with a DRS check situation: a 144Hz refresh should stutter only if the app takes more than around 7 ms to compute its step, or am I missing something'' ?

Yes of course I have all that stuff. Top work. I really appreciated that I found your RSS 1990 sparks back then. Really my favorite classic F1 season (being a diehard Prost fan)... he almost won with that Ferrari but we all know what happened in Suzuka. That car (RSS 1990) is probably my fav 90's car to drive.

Have you seen my ESPN Speedworld TV graphics for that year?

Modern F1 sparks are visually quite different though. That F1 2020 sparks mod is the best I've ever seen.

Great stuff man. I have to add this to my 1984 season (edit: already did, thanks a million). If you have more 1982-1984 SD car skins, I'd love to add them. I tried to fix those numbers and stuff but I'm not really that good with car visual mods.

Shame what happened to Bellof. Rumor has it that he was supposed to have a meeting with Enzo just a few days after he died.

Where did You read this: ''I was surprised the website says it is necessary to use a car script to avoid stuttering only with a DRS check situation: a 144Hz refresh should stutter only if the app takes more than around 7 ms to compute its step, or am I missing something'' ?

The website says :

Developing this script was a significant challenge. Most realism-based DRS mods require external apps or heavy Python plugins that can clutter your UI and drain CPU resources. Our solution is different: it extends the standard simulator capabilities by integrating directly into the car's physics framework.

So I was surprised because my DumbAI, which is an external lua app, checks for blue flag situation (similar weight of computation as a DRS check: check for car positions for each bot, each car lapCount, distance between cars etc...), tyre wear, fuel level , damage and change in weather conditions in track at each dt and takes 0.08 ms per dt for 31 bots for something like 8mo of memory, so I was wondering how just a DRS mod would clutter the UI and drain CPU resources and thought I was maybe missing something in my code or else.

[Pilot3331]

he he, You are surprised that Your app is not using lots of cpu resources?! That's good. But not all apps are equal in this regard. I will tell You more even not all scripts are equal in performance. I just not going to point fingers but there are cars out there with heavy scripts that are impossible to run full grid on decent specs pc's.

Oh ok I did'nt read it in this way, sorry my english is quite poor. I read the DRS script, it looks very optimized, nice one !

No problem, I think You are doing great job with DumbAI app. Ai improvement is much needed in ac, and csp main character is ignoring it for some reasons.

good luck with that. old TC racetrack are converted from the mods who people made for the original game (which is rfactor 1 with mods). they are very private and this place who Neil showed is a example of that private, the track and cars are very difficult to find to the point is impossible. if you have at least have one of them you got very lucky.

[Plexus22]

Got to ask, Does anyone know if there is any camera improvements to this track?

Heartland Motorsports Park - Topeka, Kansas

If you enjoy this track, please consider a PayPal donation using the link above, or you can also optionally support me on my Patreon Page. ************************nukedrop While this mod is FREE. This file is quite large, meaning hosting costs...

www.overtake.gg

They are frankly not as perfect as they could. Especially the start finish camera where it just abruptly cuts to the car making it look and sound terrible.

I got no idea how to make my own camera's for tracks so though i'd ask if someone in here knows how to deal with it? Preferably without the camtool app since i don't use it at all.

Plexus22 submitted a new resource:

Heartland Motorsports Park - modified cameras - Heartland Motorsports Park - modified cameras

Edited cams, that's all.
Be aware !!! they will overwrite the existing ones, so backup them if you want to keep them or rename them.

Read more about this resource...

Not often we get a seriously interesting new track at a famous old location. Well done Adelaide on the announcement of your new 2027 Motogp race.

I can't believe they'll race a street track. Even Spa and Suzuka are not fit to race MotoGP races anymore, this scream death from a thousand kilometres away...

Nuzzis FIA DRS App does all that except number 4. And Nuzzis app is easier to install, you dont have to install it separently to every car.

[kakauiyt]

If people were wondering yes there is an automated decryptor tool for AC. And it cost 50$ per month to use it with a 6h daily cooldown for each 50 batch of decryption.

So now you know.
Oh and by the way the tool blacklisted VRC/RSS (guess bullying works)

[Apocalypse211]

Have you already tried @kakauiyt F1 2008 cars?

Look how incredible they look at Singapore 2008 night race.

This was recorded before the last update however.

Honestly I saw this yesterday and thought it was fake news. Mental. Lets go back to Isle of Man while we're about it then. MotoGP really has lost the plot.

Hello, do people who use Cyril Cherry's touring cars have smooth racing experiences? For me, the AI in these cars is doing all sorts of crazy things on the track.

Excellent as ever, but we have some barriers left in 4 layouts as seen in these pictures:

In the last layout there is another one, that from the left side of the last picture. (three leftovers in total in this one)

Edit: SOLVED!

If not being a fan of road racing then watch this documentary and after that you will be. I was very impressed after seeing this a couple of years ago.

Well it sure gives content creator less incentive to make scratch made stuff for AC that's for sure.

[sab001]

@Tetri: So what is [SETTINGS] dangerzoneapplytohint=0 doing? Shouldn't that default to 1?

[StoffelWaffle]

Well it sure gives content creator less incentive to make scratch made stuff for AC that's for sure.

Double-edged sword, really. On one hand it's hurtful for creators that make interesting mods but on the other hand it ****s over grifters encrypting stolen assets and that, my friends, is just sweet sweet karma

[GN_Bullit]

This is insane.

[Pilot3331]

Hi. I can understand criticism. Like its difficult to install per car basis. But why does app You mention need such defense. It is not like, script author is forcing someone to use it. In my mind, not a bad thing to have free alternative, and some competition in modding. End user will only benefit from this.
