Would be awful if Studio 397 and motorsport games found out about this wouldnt it?

EDIT: Oops

You should also report this "stolen" track from rFactor2.

It's a paymod and costs 8,99 € on steam.

Maybe then you will be the most hated person here...

And we should start a new discussion about how many 100% legal mods we have. I mean only the mods, that are not stolen from other games and are fully licensed by the track owners and car manufacturers.

Final version of my Adria conversion. Added dynamic groove and 2 basic cameras. Enjoy.

Thank you slider666 for encouraging me to improve this track.
AI for aa_adriaraceway (Adria Raceway) by @damone13x

I wasn't able to fix the Revolver layout as I would need help by someone who can move start finish timing line in the .kn5, and I am to cheap and dumb to buy any software.

Remove .txt and unzip into tracks folder. Remove .bin and cache files from all ai folders if present.

AI and a couple cams for actk adria raceway by @__EASY__

Remove .txt and unzip. Remove any .bin and cache files in ai folder if present. Added two rookie made cams.
Any new cams coming soon for Camino Viejo De Montserrat? I know it's big job.

I'm about to capture some laps on the extreme circuit.

Yeah, sorry, I will try when I have some time. My "technique" is a little buggy right now also.

Any place I read to try and understand the season LUT change numbers and how they interact with each other to create season changes? I sort of get it, but would like to understand it better. Thanks...

Also the Autopolis too in the same category.

And Chivas work too

just link normally like the rest of us do. What's with the share mods links?
Im not happy that they are rehosting our team's work(Chivas) but oh well we aren't going to stop that for me its not worth the energy chasing people, its like trying to stop weeds growing in your garden. If you like the work of Chivas & VII graphics then there is the patreon for that. End of the day if people are enjoying the mods then I'm happy, if you aren't enjoying the mods then I have bought shame to my family and I fear that my dad will disown me.

To be fair, this isn't behind a paywall. Easy's conversion was.

Secondly, we have a website aimed at that already - RD. We're all here cause we want mods outside of those rules, we just don't want them profiting off of stolen content as this is clearly against the law and will just hurt modding in the long run.

The funny thing is that a lot of people are jumping on the Easy-hate bandwagon, and I haven't seen a single person complaining about the small bunch of people that rip GT Sport/Project Cars cars and sell them for $50+ each.

I'm not sure I follow your quantum induced post.

If you are referring to me getting a ban why would that happen - i'm not gonna argue with a mod about how they mederate this place and what they decide is discussing modding and what isn't.
I'm just not a fan of reading 4 pages of posts about who has the most mods and how big their collection is but whatever.
I tested your magic formula at the bakery and it works. I stole all their muffins, unnoticed.

i had worked on vancouver for 6 months and someone rehosted it and put it on here with no credit to the original author or myself and most of the replies were thanks to this guy... then he posted Maruto's 3gpr track same thing...

Life goes on... its like trying to stand in the ocean and stop the tide with your face....
Like you say... as long as people enjoy it...

I only wanted to say, that @__EASY__ is not the bad guy and Reboot Team, Zwiss, Legion, etc. are the good guys. He is doing a really good job in converting tracks (the AI lines could be better) and improving car mods. I really enjoy most of his work, but I also don`t like, that he is selling a few "stolen" mods, even if it's for sure a lot of work to convert them to AC. I personnally will never pay for those kind of mods. And I also don't like, that his mods don't have credits with the origin of the mods. But he also could hide behind a Patreon paywall and would for sure earn more money.

The problem is, converting a track from GTR2, rF or rF2 to AC is done in no time.. but trying to make it look like an AC track.. is a lot of work. For example: the wooden railroad blocks at the side of the tarmac in Crystal Palace are all perfectly straight in rF2, just like a concrete wall. This looks very unnatural . But it's really a lot of work by hand, you have to get out all the holes and double meshes before you can apply a noise to make it look more irregular... just an example :)
But since covid-19 has robbed me of all my January gigs, I know what to do :)

Really appreciate you putting these details in - it's this sort of thing that makes a track particularly immersive to me.

With all the discussion about numbers of cars and tracks, I have around 20 tracks (all pre-1980) in my install and around a hundred cars, because I'm really picky about what immerses me and what breaks that. So I'm very thankful for these sorts of considerations.

Was it? I've been on his site and each mod I've seen so far has been free. I've seen an option to donate to his paypal, but I wouldn't call this a paywall since it's an option and the mod is available to download regardless.

His conversion of zandvoort was a paidwalled mod. Others arent. But his zandvoort is

Good for you, you are not missing anything.
You are not perfect, what a coincidence, neither are we.
Please keep up the good work, a lot here appreciate your efforts in improving a lot of mods that have not been updated to the latest standards.
An old adage says: Dogs bark, but the caravan keeps on.
You share this ame sentiment towards simdream , RTM? etc.
Genuine question.

Thanks, I will try that. I just have to find the LOD.ini.
You just have to unpack the car's data file and you'll find the lods.ini file inside the data folder that's created.

Once you've made your changes, make sure you tick the box in the UI that says to 'use unpacked data if exists'. If you don't, you'll still be loading the original unedited data.acd file, not the unpacked folder with the changes you've made.

Developers don't really care that you use the models. Sure, they might not like it, but at the end of the day, they will continue to get paid to build new ones because it is necessary for their title to sell. Also, each mod doesn't really get that much reach or download. some of the best mods only get only like 50k download. That is nothing compared to the 10s of millions of copies game developer actually sells.

Out with the new, in with the old. A little preview of progress so far. ;)

Strange, there are no Driver Switch' setting in the LODs.ini

I tried adding the line, but it did not work.

The two lines you can try adjusting in the lods.ini are:

[COCKPIT_HR]
DISTANCE_SWITCH=11

[DRIVER_HR]
DISTANCE_SWITCH=25

If either line isn't there, just add it in and give it a go. I can't promise that will fix your bobbleheaded driver, but it's all I've ever resorted to fiddling with when trying to sort such an issue. 🙂
