Hi guys,

i need your experience please.

I run out of space on my "assetto ssd" so its time to move to the bigger m2ssd. I am a nonCM user. Do i risk something by moving the game folder through steam the steam function? Do steam move everything inclusive all content/mods? I think yes but i am affraid to risk ^^ The documnets folder stays untouched anyways ... so it should be no prob? Can anyone confirm to calm down my nervs please :D

I think only thing what i have to adjust later is - while using the GUIcompressing tool, i have to compress all stuff manually again.

I don't know if this applies to your setup, but if the original SSD only has AC on it, I would use Macrium Reflect to clone the drive. When finished, make sure the partition uses all of the drive, as I think it creates a partition on the new drive that's the same size as the old drive. Note the letter of your old drive. Then you can uninstall the old drive and install the new one in your PC. When you restart, be sure to assign the old drive's letter to the new one, and restart again. Steam should work without having to do anything.

Also, if you have used LZW compression, I think making a clone this way retains that compression. If you just drag and copy from one drive to another, the files won't be compressed.

Thanks for the tip. Do you know any ways we can keep a live updated backup that syncs with the main folder? Similar to Time Machine on the Mac.
 
Hi, need some help, I try to modify this car (low quality...) and it looses the front lights, is there someway to fix it?

So, this is the new up-to-date and detailed (?) version of Smolensk ring. I have not tested the track yet, so can't say "how is it?" and how it differs from the previously posted version in the thread.

When downloading this pack you also receive the BR03 racing prototype and Fort Grozny Autodrom: whether there are any updates for them - just do not know.

Whoa thanks, the Smolenski is hard. Very nicely done and tough. Almost made me want to ragequit. Almost. :lol:



Another little piggy problem, this time with CM Showroom.
Suddenly left mouse button + mouse movements doesn't make me look around the car, the behavior changed to a more typical "look-around" p.o.v. fashion.
What have I done wrong? :confused:

Maybe try disable CSP "Fake Shadows" Possibly a car mod "don`t like" the feature :confused:

I have "Fake Shadows" permanently disabled, thanks for the tip, tho.:)

One thing I can add is that in one of those warnings, the crash occur when loading the car.
In another, it loads the track, loads all the cars, loads all the features and only crash while loading this;

We have now fixed the engine output of the MK8 Golf R. It should feel normal now. This car is in the state we call drivable. It is good enough to drive, but not optimized, and most CSP functions are missing. Feel free to update it!

Are you using the latest RVZ Seat Leon by any chance? Commenting out the complete [SCRIPTABLE_DISPLAY_...] should fix this, seems Ricardo's dynamic display Lua script is still buggy.

I've heard about this problems in the past, but not with 177p1 until now. Maybe bc I deleted 177p1 after a short test and went back to 176p136. ;)

In the past changing to another version of CSP was one way to solve this.
Luckily I dont see anything about "OneDrive" in your path. That is another culprit for non working stuff in AC.
And a pal of mine with the same problem had a complete messed up race.ini. Deleting this files, which gets recreated, solved it for him.

So just try those options yourself. If something else causes this problem on your side and you figure it out, I'd be happy to add it to my knowledge. :cheers:

Thanks for the suggestions. I did a Steam integrity check and surprisingly it found 789 files that need to be validated. I also deleted a lot of results and lap time entries from Content Manager and now setups are appearing in-game. Not sure exactly what caused the problem, but it is fixed and the setups are helping a lot! Cheers!

edit: solved my problem with excessive brakes locking on the audi_v8_quattro_dtm_v2

Speaking of earlier DTM. How is your DTM Championship put together? Which cars do you use? :confused:
I am still unable to drive a good early 90s Championship. I have some 95` cars put together with some 2000s and running a sort of fake championship.
The kunos cars are useless because the AI is way too slow with them. Tommy´s 91`DTM is also useless because of exact same reason.:mad:
Maybe you can share "your championship" cars ? :eek:

Whas a hard work.
I've created a Discord server during lockdown and I organized championships online recreating real championships with real cars and correct circuits.

The DTM seasson 92 were running The BMW E30, Mercedes 190E, Audi Quattro, Ford Mustang and the Omega.

I've put together all but the Omega because was pay mod fro Tommy's.

The Audi was the one I shared.
The Mustang I took the existing street version and added rollcage, backet, steering wheel...
Fully reworked physics to BoP it with the other 3 contenders.

Chech the result here, there's a highlights of all races:



It was great fun and still looking quite good 😊

The pack is thought for online racing.
Of course. I will share the pack. But I need to rework a little the Mustang first.

After I watched GT7's latest trailer here about Daytona Road Course, I cannot help but feel a similarity to our beloved Assetto Corsa in terms of graphics. That made me came up with an idea about seeing someone make a camtool made for our version of Daytona by Reboot Team which mimics the replay camera sets seen in GT7, then IDK, perhaps make a comparison with my AC once I'll upgrade my PC using the same car grid as in GT7's video (the only ones missing are the Jaguar F-Type GT3, Mazda RX Vision GT3, although the LM one could do well as replacement and Supra GR Racing Concept). Also, notice that some cars have new liveries for GT7, such as the Subaru WRX STi GT3, sporting the livery used on the last Nurburgring 24H race of two years ago I presume, would be cool to see someone recreate it for Circuit Hawaii's conversion of that car in AC.

I'm racing a custom championship, a fake 1991 CIVT: I had to replace the BMW M3 E30 Gr.A 92 Kunos with that of ACR, the AI driven kunos is inexplicably slow ...😥

Okay, the illustrious quartet is done.
1. '68 Firebird SB2, non-stock, original by SBH.
No animated parts.
Tbh, it only looks like a '68 Firebird, it's more of a supercar in a Firebird skin. Why? Why not!
Note. In some CSP versions this might have an issue with ingame shadow. I went back to 0.1.60 and have no issues now.

Only animated doors and wing.
It has the Victor engine which can/could be retrofitted IRL too.

If anyone is experiencing the same problem, I found a fix. Unpack the data.acd and delete digital_instrument.ini

Most attempt at fixes online that I found ask you to delete the analog_instrument.ini or disable "accurate tacho" in CSP extensions, which doesn't work.

Tagging @gladbecker82 because you had the same problem with a car back in 2019. Don't know if you've solved it yet, but hope this helps (as well as anyone with the same problem).

Is there an update for this car? I am getting an update via CM, yet it fails due to the google drive limits. I went to the paetron (sp?) and same problem with the google drive limits when attempting to download. Thank you.
