3 cars, yes 3 cars.... as if we needed yet more to fill the bulging garages of cars collecting dust.

The Toyota, first up had been turned into a drag car, hideous thing, so I went about converting it back to a simple track day loon machine. Low pretty slow but retro cool.
It's not a race car, has normal seats and steering wheel but may make a race version.
Sad i didn't keep a picture of it as a drag car, can't find it again now either.

Then we have the Ford Anglia, a bit stupid this one, not for everyone, but beefed up a bit and compared to the original uncle M version it is mental. Driver sits too close so will look at that in next few days.
Again just a track day loon car...

lastly the escort mk1 banger car...it is what it is....has dents in it but sadly they all have the exact same dents...wreckfest this ain't!

Its quite fun, but if you don't like bangers or short UK ovals then just leave it, its useless on a track..

You know the drill, I just fiddle and try to make unusual stuff, there will be errors there will be bad skins as I'm not very good. (banger car skins are deliberately bad though).
Keep, bin, mock, or marry.... its better to share them regardless as its easy to delete or fix yourself to something you like.
I don't credit the folks who made them as they aren't scratch made and i didn't search out their approval anyway.
I don't charge money and if anyone moans about some code then sue me.

Having said that if anyone knows how i can change the car names so the toyota doesn't say 'drag' I'd love to know..

Well in my opinion it's very simple, it's a small mod and simply drag and drop, you only need to recopy the presets, I just give the whole package. But I understand. You don't need to download the small updates if don't want to, you can download the major.
It's me that like to share all the changes I do to the community, I think it's a nice.

Thank you for your feedback, appreciate it!

P.S. I am a Man

Can anyone help me?
It's just like a cars setup in game. There's basically 3 major parts. Your spring rate, your dampers and then your anti-roll bars. Try lowering these fairly proportionately and you'll have a looser suspension.
Go in game and make sure none of the values aren't dimed to one side or the other in the setup or else any further changes will render moot. That would then require adjusting the setup.ini to function within the parameters of your new values.

Do i have to be on the same computer as where my assetto corsa install is?
I mod on a different computer so i don't have to be sat in a race seat fumbling around with my keyboard.
I have SDK and everything on another system and simply take track from my main rig and install them on the other system?
Shouldn't cause an issue right?

Its really annoying anything i do on 3dsim it won't export in any format.
I do 90% of my modding from a networked laptop that does not have AC installed, no issues.
You can also use CM over the network, just set your AC folder to \\YOURNETWORK\AC_INSTALL_FOLDER and copy acs.exe to the CM folder

I´ve done a little research if one of my all-time favs is available for AC, the ´73 Porsche Carrera RS. It is. But not in the best state (v5 tyres, no wipers, old shaders etc). Is someone of you guys willing to improve the model a little bit and give it some love it deserves? :gtpflag: CM already let me update shaders and some parameters but some new tires and wipers would be also great.

Having said that if anyone knows how i can change the car names so the toyota doesn't say 'drag' I'd love to know.

Open up the car's data file (if it isn't already opened, I haven't checked), and you can change the name in the car.ini

You can also change it in the UI file, but this will only change it in the UI menu.

Love that Corolla, had a KE25 very similar body to that, was an awesome little car, wish I had kept it.
There is a guy in NZ who circuit raced one in Sports sedans, had shoehorned a v8 into it, then later he went to a KP60 Starlet, with a V8

And that is exactly the kind of beasts I'm into.

Thanks mate! Still looking for the rest of 'em :-) Cannot find a way to do it myself via CSP....
I have another one of the LMP2s almost done, just needs some fine tuning. If you want to try making CSP wipers yourself, check this video out:

Done csp wipers and lights, still missong interior glass as I do not know how to do it :(

Blender how-to:

Reworked Gentrack 1 from Sneer

Wipers are WAYYY easier done via CSP tho! :P

FYI, Fat Alfie updated Thomson Road.

1657979859877.png

From Fat Alfie -------------------------
I was asked to increase the number of grid slots from the original 24 to 36 so the track could be of more use in online racing, and it seemed like a good opportunity to correct a few small flaws that were in the track.

Changes:
  • increased gridslots to 40
  • added 3D dead leaves
  • added bitumen joints where tarmac is patched
  • increased grip for new tarmac / reduced for old
  • brand new physical road mesh with better feel
  • updated tree models for better shading
  • new textures for white lines / start line
  • improved a few shader settings
  • CSP cfg for night and rain

This was only ever going to be a 'light touch' update, and not a ground-up rebuild, so there are lots of things I would do differently now, but I'm still proud to say that this is the first track I made for AC :)
