But I have a question now; how to change driver in certain cars (For instance, driving a street car with driver with helmet no longer is to my liking). I have a good driver ('Jason') which I'd like to see in my AMG Hammer (to name one), how to do this? In which (ini?) file is this embedded? Would grateful receiving a solution for this. I'm no modder (needless saying perhaps). Thanks much in advance for your kind assistance.

You can also create a "name_of_the_car_folder.ini" (e.g. amg_hammer.ini) in
C:\Users\Your_Name\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\extension\cars
with the following text

[DRIVER3D_MODEL]
NAME=driver_name (without kn5 extension)
POSITION=0.0,0.0,0.0

[DRIVER3D_HIDE_OBJECT_0]
NAME=DRIVER:HELMET

[DRIVER3D_HIDE_OBJECT_1]

Or just copy the text to the "ext_config.ini" in the "extension" folder of the car. This should work, too.

Another method is to create a subfolder "data_override" in the "extension" folder of the car, unpack the data.acd of the car, copy the driver3d.ini to the new "data_override" folder and change it to the new driver. You should use this method, if you also want to change the timings of the shift animation of the driver.
Don't forget to finally delete the "data" folder with the unpacked files. This method works for all ini-files from data.acd, that only change the graphics of the car. (e.g. driver3d.ini, lods.ini, lights.ini).

Hi guys, what you recommend is the best version of Acura ARX-06 car? looking to find one to drive against RSS, URD and VRC cars over the Daytona 24hr event. Its dissapointing to me that none of the 3 top paid mod groups has made this stunning car which isnt in WEC, But is in IMSA racing the same cars as WEC cars. TRR maybe?

This one I posted, my brother had as an opponent, at the time I was 6 years old... The cars in the game I posted (the cars were all similar to the Lotus 72D), since its main purpose was to "simulate" the race between Emerson and Wilson Fittipaldi Jr. in Interlagos...

For the Ligier, I have to try to adjust the instrument panel a little better (I couldn't adjust the arrows...).
For the Renault, the "DATA" folder needs to be adapted to suit other cars.
For the Lotus, this is the version that "Grupo RSS" didn't do, that is, with rear-view mirrors in the style of the Copersucar F5A.

and then all of the skins required for the driver inside the skin folder too.

Works with ALL of the cars and no need to mess with driver.ini, just save all of that into a folder and copy paste each time you want to use it

Great idea, but there's no need to unnecessarily duplicate the driver suit/gloves/helmet/NM DDSes in every skin folder of every car you want to use it with, it's unnecessary bloat that could add ~10MB to every skin you use.
Better to have them in one place only (where the Kunos kit is stored) and refer back to them with a config.
Create a folder called My_Driver_Suit (or whatever), put your suit DDSes in there, then put that folder in ...assettocorsa/content/texture/driver_suit/ and just add this skin.ini to the skin folder:

[driver] ;your preferred driver type to match that in driver3d.ini or skin folder ext_config
SUIT=\My_Driver_Suit
GLOVES=\My_Driver_Suit
HELMET=\My_Driver_Suit

Haven't tried it, but I can't see why it wouldn't work in conjunction with your ext_config. Has anyone else tried it?

I am currently organizing a championship on a server that I rent from Assetto Hosting.

I have this recurring error in the Logs:

I am using the car "Jidé 1600 S" by Rnoir.

We have encountered this issue with the Pau 1967 circuit, Pau 1974 (by ginot Team), and now with Bugatti 1967 (by MTK)

And this problem occurs even when trying multiple event configurations (race, championship, race weekend) and disabling checksums (one by one, or all at once). In all cases, various drivers have a random "chekcsum failed"...

If anyone has an idea where this error comes from and how to fix it, that would be great!

Those lights and little adjustments with ppfilters and CSP 0.2.7 made me so mad that i created a ppfilter with some tools included. It is called Tetri Clarity Tools.

It goes from complete Brightness control in one shot (exposure+Daylight mult+ Tonemap Gain) to more subtle things (scenery exposition and sunlight to vegetation or clouds brightness, including those damn emissives that nobody seems to code the same way). I will add a 100 more useless sliders following my mental state trying every vintage car/track combo from the past 10 years.

It is full of flaws, written by a dysfunctioning mongoloïd, but at least i can now switch from a track to another and isolate the issues without spending 15 mlinutes in the ppconfig, therefore applying proper edits to my other otherwise good ppfilters. It also sucks a little under certain conditions, because reasons.

I also rewrote my beautiful Sad Reality ppfilters that are still reliable 2 years later. They are exquisite and dull and just contrasted enough for peaceful driving, not like those overcontrastest monstrosities you find everywhere.

Those are supposed to work with my reshade presets that are included and that, obviously because reshade, won't work properly on your system because you have slightly different CSP settings. That's telling a lot how terrible of a human being you are, you just never thought of it, did you? That's because you only think about yourself.

To counterweight your awefullness, i included the presets as well.

Those are not meant to be used by anyone (and they shouldn't) but i'm happy to share the "ideas" that remain, somewhere, hidden in the scriptures.

It need the usual tweaks on those stupidities, but there's enough to fix many MANY old tracks : a shadow controller, a tonemap gain direct slider, a sun slider, a tonemap color compression slider, a glare position slider (left, glare on the sky, right, glare on the scenery).
And a real cold coloring grading for the yellow roads that i hate. On a slider.

The Nord and a few other ones are on a different level of light for some reason, hance (hence? hansel?), just pick either the first Main Light Slider at 0/0,5/1 depending on the track.

Otherwise everything is balanced by default, apart from the 2D cloud shadows that is checked and shouldn't be. I forgot.

The exposure target is just here in case, the auto exposure should work properly, i took the same settings as the Natural Mod



I would add that the script is written in my typical nonsensical way, my main fear being Peter having a look inside and never adressing a word to me again.

Otherwise, if i compare it to the previous version, it's a cool one.

I will add more sliders later, notably for the Lambertgamma :

I am updating this Opel GT with carTOON's kind permission.I have a problem with the mirrors disappearing way too soon in replays.Other cars still have theirs but all of the Opels just pop away.These LOD settings dont seem to affect it.

I looked at the fbx in Blender and the HR and LR cockpits both have mirrors.In CSP Showroom,LOD 0 and 1 have mirrors as does LR cockpit.It bugs me........grrr. This image is zoomed in but it clearly shows the difference.

So, we can't tell EVERYTHING from this snippet, but here's what we CAN say:

1. Your server (49.202.77.147) is hosted at OVH, a French Cloud and Web hosting service.
2. Your server is reaching out to a service hosted at Orange (90.92.237.231) which is geo-located in Gif-sur-Yvette, France. We can't tell why or what for.
3. The traffic uses randomised high numbered ports (typical of web services)
4. The connection is made over TCP (standard, widely used, handshake based protocol)
5. The handshake and connection succeeds so the remote server IS available (the message implies a break in an already working connection)
6. Your server reports, "I had an error reading the length of his sentence, because he hung up in the middle of it."
7. The "wsarecv" error indicates this is from a Windows system (your server) from the Windows Socket API.
8. Possible causes:

• The remote host actively terminated the connection ("Nope, don't want to speak to you anymore.")
• A network connectivity issue caused the connection to drop ("Ooops. Packet-pasta fell on the floor.")
• A security mechanism or firewall may have interrupted the connection ("Nope, my daughter may not speak to you.")

I realise that this might not be helpful to answer "Why is this happening?" but at least you know WHAT is happening.
I'd suggest speaking to Assetto Hosting to trouble-shoot the Orange issues, via their host OVH.

Yeah, it used to be either in the fake shadow, SHadowFX, the ExtraFX (Maybe Blur), or in some weird dark corner of CSP settings.

I only found out because Reshade was bugging on them as well and i could point it down in CSP, that's why i believe it has to do with ExtraFX bBlur or ExtraFX TAA. Alt-tab out of the game paused on the cables, deactivate things and you'll find it. Also, since the extrafX blur is bugging a little in latest CSP, i found that adding manually 300% Noise to the blur fixed all my maion issues : blurry tires, wheel ghosting and other glitches.

Gonna try the Zwiss2.5 version!

I was forced to leave the recommended version to the 2.5 due the AC famously but irritating black sky problem after a couple of rounds (I do not use Reshade/SweetFX/PPfilter/Pure/SOL) While I’m very focused on aliasing, I have not notice any change in the jagging of thin lines. Only I do notice more stuttering in 2.5 and also keep in your mind I’m using a VR HS as things could be acting differently in the flat screen world. Think your aliasing settings are wrong or conflicting, caused by a new hidden setting.

The stuttering can be caused by CSP itself, because the "default" weather style uses the rare update method, where things are just calculated for certain frames. Pure and esp Pure LCS is using a different method where the CPU load is balanced for every frame and so you have a better frameflow.

The clouds are the least CPU consuming part. It is very important that all major functions are equally scattered in a certain frame sequence. So Pure uses 3 frames to calculate everything, so i save like 50% of the CPU usage. But it is very important that every frame will take the same amount of time and so the frame flow is very consistant.
Esp in VR where the CPU consumption is higher, this will help even more with fluid frame flows.

I still have my toolset on linux and could roll out updates but working in linux is a pain.

Hi mate... maybe you're planning to also update the automatic gear changes on your cars? (especially 2008...)

Your mod is stunning with only that problem (the gear changes happens to soon on the upshift)... I understand that not many people care, but I play with a controller
