Don't know if this is the right section? BUT somehow I cant get the traffic working now ? I cant remember what I put on but now the traffic planner has now changed to a railroad planner ? Dose any one have a clue what mod may have changed it? Cheers Kiff!

Hello all, i need some experts of modding
on the RSS Lanzo and RSS Mercer the RPM LEDs are very bright how can i make them a little darker.
In the Data lights.ini i can't find anything that works and even without lights.ini the LEDs light up.
Also i testet the Digital_Instruments.ini with no success.
Then looked in the cars/extension.ini and find nothing which points me to RPM LEDs.
Finally i looked in AssettoCorsa/Extension/Cfg/Cars/RSS/Lanzo folder and found nothing.
On other cars the RPM LEDs are OK, so its not the pp-filter.
Does anyone have an idea where I can find the settings for the RPM LEDs on this two cars?

problem solved it was actually the standart Pure-Pure filter that caused the problem
but not all cars have the problem with this filter:confused:

Finally got my workstation machine up and running (was sold a lemon 5900X and had to go through a month's worth of RMA) - and have downloaded stuff like RTB, Blender and 3DSimED in an attempt to learn the basics by fixing issues with a few tracks.

I'd like to get deeper into track modding, but it's unclear on where to start and which tools are needed to do specific things. For example, I've had someone tell me 3DSimED is required to alter a track's grid.kn5 (i.e. pit lane and timing), but somewhere else I read that there is a way to do it from the kseditor. Unclear which is right, and lord is 3DSimED a clunky, anachronistic piece of software (with a dead support forum - not helpful).

Anyone with expertise on this sort of stuff, shoot me a PM if you have the time. Thanks.

Thanks
What pp-filter are you using, and have you tried with the default Pure pp-filter (if you are running Pure)? Many pp-filters will have random stuff like this happen on some cars while not on ohters, all depending on how things are set up.

Usually you can change this by unpacking the data.acd and editing digital_instruments.ini. Find the shift lights section and play with the values until it fits your bill. But it will render the car unfit for online use.

Not sure if it can be done in ext_config.ini, perhaps someone smarter than me has a better solution. :)

Edit: Ohhh... I hadn't had my morning coffee yet, I didn't see that you already tried this. Sooorry. :( The RSS cars are running a lot of lua-scripts and stuff, so it's probably hidden in there somewhere then?

Nissan R33 JGTC '98 Pre Realease

__custom_showroom_1742806447.jpg

A pre-release version of the mod
Fixed UV maps "NOT perfect, I know"(broken texture and black spots)
Changed texture (skins) quality from BC3 to BC7
Added driver/crew suits and textures

Unfortunately, I couldn't do better work, and things didn't go as I planned, and keeping the mod as beta is not an option
i will try to release the full version this month on my Patreon and here on GTplanet.

I'm waiting for your feedback, if I can fix something "not modeling big changes and UV maps" for the physics, i don't have a steering wheel right now, but i will try to do something about it.

Car download

Thanks for the support, this is as much as I can do

which pp filter are you guys running at the moment?

any maybe someone alredy created a DTM 2025 grid preset?

Furthermore More I plan on doing a massive update to the Reynard 01Q and 2KQ Mega Pack. The updated Courage C60 pack should come first, since outside of modifying the rear wings of models, the physics are pretty much done.

What's been completed so far
-Reduced inertia on all models
-Updated sounds for GV4 Judd V10 and Mopar V8
-Updated sounds for 2003 Nasamax Cosworth
-Correctly scaled rims and tyres for all models in the pack.
-Updates to suspension and steering for all models.
-Revised Rear Wing for 2003 Nasamax ALMS
-Physics for 2000 Johnson Matthews Reynard 2kQ Judd and ALMS done
-Physics for 2000 Reynard 2kQ Mopar Done
-Physics for 2003 Reynard 01Q Crosworth Nasamax and ALMS done

(I'll probably provide updates for this pack as I move along)

More Work on the Reynard 01Q and 2kQ models (Work on the rear wings and front dive planes to make it as close to real life as possible for me)

Separate the rear wing into multiple objects and fuse them back together

Changelog

-Update front Diveplanes on all models, previous front diveplanes were too long forward
-Lowered the rear wing for the 2KQ Mopar and 2KQ Judd Lemans
-Lowered the rear wing for the 2003 Nasamax Reynard 01Q Lemans Aero Package
-Thicker and higher rear wing for the 2000 Renyard 2kQ ALMS Judd
-Higher rear wing for the 2003 Nasamax Reynard 01Q ALMS Aero Package
-More accurate rear wing placement for all models

I urge everyone : please resize your screenshots once inserted in the post...
They can then also still be viewed in full size when clicked, so comparison can still be done as easily,
but we wouldn't all need to mouse-scroll 10 times for reaching the next post. 👍
a quick example:

(I know I can also make one mouse scroll forward more lines, but I like it set to 1 line only 😁) ✌

And to follow up on "things that need work that I'd like to work on", tonight I drove DB_1973's Summit Point for the first time:

With CrisT86's texture update - which, spoilers, can't gloss over the issues.

The track is built by LiDAR data, and you can tell - going by the real-life onboards, the track accuracy itself is really good.

Screenshot_urd_radical_sr3xxr_2023_summit_point_main_11-5-125-2-5-11.jpg

Everything else really is not, though - it really, really needs a 2025 overhaul. The track doesn't shade properly with the "Track Adjustments" CSP parameter active, the visuals are really rough, the textures are poor, the grass and side details look fake, the road surface is unnecessarily grainy and bumpy, the kerbs look and perform like they're from Golf With Your Friends, and on and on.

This is a cool little LiDAR track - can't let that data go to waste - that could really use some love. Just figured I should put it up on the radar for those who may be able.

And, as said in the post I'm replying to, I may be a total beginner, but I'd be open to helping with track stuff for those that need it.

Cheers.

1982 Season final (and I mean final) mprovements and new track/car showdown video (all tracks) in VHS quality. :D

All downloads in the video description and proper credit of the tracks given to the Masters: @shi and @Rainmaker87. Without those guys we couldn't even play these old F1 seasons.

Video description also has the backstory and explanation what has been done.

Video also has timelines to see every track in detail (well in VHS detail hehe). There's also a link to the 80'S BBC TV graphics leaderboard that I made.

Wondering if anyone can figure out what's new (or unreleased) on this picture?

(I'm thinking of releasing something and gauging a bit here if people find it interesting enough.)
