Hey everyone,
Does anyone know if there’s a proper, well-made SFX bank for the Zytek V8 engine in Assetto Corsa?
I’ve searched online but haven’t had much luck—just found a WIP project, but it’s unclear whether it's been abandoned or hidden behind a paywall.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Shots were done by a good friend of mine. I’m sure he uses S K Y GT spec.

Mine doesn’t look that good… (btw, the iron dames will be the next release)

Don’t know how he is doing it, but he also takes the pictures for a e-sports league

Do you know if there is a rfactor 1 or GTR2 mod that uses that engine? Its easy to make a sound bank from those.

To be honest i have no idea, i'm not playing rF1 or GT2 from decades, i have to check. For sure there's ton of high quality video of real life on YouTube, but i don't have idea on how to make it by myself. Tried in the past but i give up.

Nah, with a mod with the wav files and FMOD Studio its pretty quick and easy to make sound banks. Zytek V8, wasn't that the A1GP engine?

As said i've tried in the past but i gave up since i didn't understood how to (no much free time on my side unfortunately). Yes, the Zytek V8 was used for the A1 GP and nowdays is used A LOT in hillclimb cars like Nova Proto



or the MG-AR1 Furore based on Alfa Romeo 4C



or this Ferrari F355

No plan to fix some textures used for multiple adverts and objects resulting in distorted visuals ? I tried to make a 1998 skin for it (because why the hell not) but geez...

(As a little help, look at the big picture - literally - it might be some novelty regarding the entire picture itself. ;))

If you want to do a decent skin, you can't simply replace the textures of the skin. You have to assign different textures to each mesh via ext_config.ini.
For example on the DrPepper bridge you can assign a texture to the meshes of the side columns (sign895_roada352401_001_001...) and another one to horizontal billboard meshes (sign891_roada352401_001_001...)

[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
MESHES= sign895_roada352401_001_001...
RESOURCE_0= txDiffuse
RESOURCE_FILE_0= side.dds

[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]

Yes you can. Just export that mesh and use what you need in the extension.kn5 and hide the original in the skin ext_config.
I did this to the RSS 550 without touching the original model kn5.

Are there any plans on releasing this? or is this one of those things that will never see the light out day outside your harddrive & friends? Not meant to sound rude, Just asking cause i really want the front bumper option :lol:
