For anyone who downloaded my skin if you have not already have a search through patreon through the links above and you will find alot of skins for the chevvy corvette gt1 for free............and they are not 1024x1024 resolution they are well made skins with lots off add-ons that i cannot do, its well worth checking if you have not already

what i am saying is when i made my skin i never even looked to see if they were already done. As a skinner i should of checked first and on this occasion i didn't......doh!

I started reworking this car in 2022 because I thought that TonyB's port was kind of an insult to VLM and their magnificent work. It was missing so many aero parts, skins were a mismatch, it was just tragic.

After a while I stopped bc it was too much for one person and restarted in 2023 with adding missing liveries so this car has, I think, all liveries from 1982 to 1986. (might've missed some that didn't have ref pics). The quality ain't great because I used the regular 2k skins as base but it is better than nothing.

In the end it's still not perfect (think there's a way to use one single car instead of three but I don't know nor care to know how to do it) but I can't be arsed (since '23 lol) to further work on this car so I'll let y'all do it. It need lods, better physics, some other things (some rear wings variants are still missing; rims aren't properly accurate but I don't have the motivation to even swap those with the mutiple rims setup I used for my PC2 962, yeah I'm lazy).

Some pics to show the aero configs:

(not an error, it did race that way)

Liqui Moly with the little cute wing:

Crudely hand drawn bonnet logo lol

Thank you very much for this, this version is definitely a step forward compared with the crappy 956 from GtSupreme. I just tested it on the Nordschleife and loved the handling of the car, it feels amazingly fast. Such fast that the AI is surpassing (by a BIG margin) Stefan Bellof's record lap time set in 1983 which stood for more than 30 years  maybe this could be tweaked in the future? make the AI a bit less fast (it's funny because it's always the other way round...AC AI is one of those mysteries that no one will ever fully understand ) and also there's a bug with the virtual mirror. You can see in the distance that the AI car is coming behind you, but you won´t see the car, only its shadow.

Ignore my snail lap time, the one to look is Stefan Bellof who has managed to lap the Nordschleife on 06:04.000 much better than his real time and I don´t know how he has ended up in penultimate position

Glad you like it and yeah, I am no physics expert, come to think of it I think it's still GTSupreme's set of physics lol

I didn't drive that car much, what interested me more was wondering how I could cram so much stuff into one car, like they did for rfactor and gtr2. Hopefully the community will elevate it further with better physics, lods and whatnot :D

EDITED: To specify (in red Italic)...

I'm not at my rig right now, so I can't be more specific, but it seems that one of the three versions of this car (the Porsche 956 Kurzheck '82 version, I think) has a couple of values altered compared to the other two versions: one is the exit distance of the lods.ini file (inside data folder), which is very low (changed for OUT=2000), causing the AI cars to disappear when they move away from ours (In fact, these cars don't have lods).

The other value is one of the ffb values (FFMULT, exactly) of the car.ini file (in data folder, too), which in the car in question is 2.778 (or something like that), too high and causing my steering wheel to exert too much force. In the other two versions it's 1.778, which I find more appropriate in my case.

Real Nurburgring Nordschleife TV Cameras - FULL Trackside (No Heli - RARE)

Realistic and accurate TV camera set for Kunos' Nordschleife and Nordschleife Tourist layouts, based on real race broadcasts with close to 100% accuracy.

DOWNLOAD: https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/r...tv-cameras-full-trackside-no-heli-rare.77924/

- 99% accurate TV cameras for Nordschleife and Nordschleife Tourist layouts
- Based on N24 2023/2024 events, except a few angles
- Works in vanilla AC (CamTool not needed)
- Does not overwrite vanilla files

I've also created the Patreon I mentioned earlier, for complete all-layout packs - but I've added a reduced-price membership option as well for an additional surprise next to the Nordschleife (both figuratively, and calendar-wise. ;)), if you want to see.

Finally, I've added an option to basically take custom requests - TV cams for any track, any one layout the member nominates - if you'd like the same quality as this one for some of your tracks.

The Patreon link is on the Overtake download page; this is not the post to advertise it directly.

For the future, I'm planning to continue releasing some TV camera sets free for everyone, some as standalone, and some in all-layout packs - the free ones will be posted here, on Overtake and on my Patreon as well, the paid ones only on Patreon.

(You can join as a free member as well, so you won't miss out on new release notifications.)

Just wanted to say a big thank you for the many dozens of reaction emojis to the Nurburgring TV cameras - I really appreciate it! <3

If you have any comment, feedback, critique on them, feel free to share - any place is fine (here/Overtake resource page/Patreon).

I can only say the next tracks' camera sets are well in WIP (but I'll wait to see the voting results to decide exactly which one should go all the way to release next).

Just came to tell that while playing my new 2002 F1 season (and using the 1998 track pack as a base) I have to say that those are the best F1 tracks ever made.

@shi gets full credit for making them to look absolutely accurate and perfect. But @Thockard AI's are insanely good. I can drive those tracks (Imola, Interlagos, etc.) blindfolded because I've driven them for years in AC... and many times even AI 100 isn't fast enough... but driving these 1998 tracks against AI actually feels like real hardcore racing.

The ai's are SO good, it's amazing. The guy doesn't get enough credit for making them so competitive. His AI's should be mandatory for every track. No crashes, no crazy stuff and insanely competitive.

People who say AC's ai is not good are wrong. When the track fastlane and cars are very well done, AC's ai is actually very good.

Sure the blue line/outlap AI doesn't exist and you have to use moderate driver AI aggression to avoid crashing (and that causes the idiotic behaviour sometimes when they can't overtake outside the racing line)... but ironically when the season is built around just skins (same base car) you can get much more even grid and in 20 lap races there is not going to be that many backmarkers.

PS: Played a few hours of EVO and LMU yesterday... great games but I'm absolutely sure that nothing will ever replace AC1 for me. The ability to tweak everything is just so unique. Ahh... the kerbs are too slippery... well go to the car data and adjust the suspension then. With those other titles you're at the mercy of the updates and programmers. Communities and niche hardcore stuff will never see the light of the day in those "locked sims". You know like... "I want to drive the 1982 Caesars Palace or 1984 Dallas"... sure... but only in AC (and rF1/2). :D

The J3DMODDING group is one of the great mysteries of the AC community. No one knows who they are and they never interact with the rest of the community, and the people I know who have tried to contact them have never received a response.

From what they claim, they produce custom paid mods that will never be made available to us regular AC players.

I only find their client profile strange, since the projects they advertise are quite exotic for the game's normal standard - like who would pay a small fortune to have a 70s Formula Ford car converted for the game???
Indeed just ignore these ass vendors, they did not understand what a modding comunity is

Summer is here, and with summer comes vacations, which means

F1 2008 Update 2.5

Update here

F1 2010 Update 5.5
Fixes : Fixed the F1 2010 skinpack having wrong helmet model for ferrari/redbull/mclaren which made the helmet skin not working. Also added lods for performance and fixed autoshifting. Also fixed that loose williams suspension

Update here

2011, 2012 and 2013 will come shortly after that. And after that............................... 1976 Rush

Does anyone know where I can find some early 00's GT500 cars (Supra, Viper, Diablo, F1, GT-R and NSX)? I tried the Assetto Corsa Virtual Lab patreon and the one on it barely works.

I love Parrilla's work on vintage tracks too, but I agree with you. I recently acquired LMU and I can see how its AI is more advanced and does a lot more - it's better. AC can't do multiclass.

But for short races, a car with a good ai.ini file and a track with great line, sidelines and hints.... still an absolute pleasure to race.
