No mate it is not, essentially what you are doing is taking a low resolution sticker and then running it through an upscaler to 4k or whatever resolution you want (upscaling to 4k is free and you get 20 "upscales" to 8k for free), once you have done that and your sticker is correct and clean you then import it into paint.net and resize it in there to whatever size you want and place it in the correct position............

if you ever just need to resize something (not upscaling just a resize) use this AI tool as it works 100% of the time and it is quick:https://www.iloveimg.com/resize-image#resize-options,pixels for instance if i want to pull an AO off of a car i cannot genrate a 4k AO as my computer is to slow and takes 2 hours so i generate a 2k AO and "resize" it in that AI tool i just linked

you use the "multiply" option to be able to see where you are putting your stickers on the body of the car, nothing more than that

the first pic has the AO layer set to "multiply" the second picture has the AO set to "normal"........you can see the difference and what i mean.

Thanks. I understand, maybe...😂
To place the stickers, I extracted the car map via CM, then used it as a reference layer over the background

I understand that it can be an information overload but its really pretty simple once you get to know the basic's, yes what you did sounds correct you used the AO layer to place the stickers, that is exactly what the AO is for (and also the overall look of course)

i do not think you need much help to be honest, just upscale the stickers on an AO that is 4k and your good to go

skinning is more about "have you got the eye for it" and understanding small bits that make a big big difference like upscaling each sticker

if you want any further assistance (i am no expert) drop me a PM and i will try my very best to help you

Thank you so much for your suggestions, it wasn't any of them, but you have reminded me of some great tracks to get again

I did eventually find it, it's this beauty, highly recommended!

Tandragee 100

A whole lotta Wow for the Fenryr (acc) Nurburgring. Great trees and foliage, no flickering pop-ups or flickering car shadows, not CPU or GPU hogging (60fps 4k pancake with 24 cars on a i9/2080ti). Excellent coloring. I'm a tough case when it comes to replacing an icon, but this might just do it... at the very least for the 2025 24hour. Wow.

Is there a way to fix the odd white grass which is now everywhere around the Nordschleife and the Fenryr's favorite: the floating groove...? Could any of these possibly be done through the ext_config?

Also, I've noticed that some objects are being moved when watching replay. For example the cone/pole at the inside of Turn 1 of the GP Layout. Is it only me or is it a known issue?

Yes, the replays seem to be a bit bugged, I only tried Nurburgring GP (No Arena, No F1 chicane) and the camera was flickering all the time.

Tried that but doesn't seem to work, I've been up to only 7/8° and the car was still too far
Try the following: open up the preview window with the settings again and hit CTRL+use the mouse wheel to zoom the car in, then adjust the view angle slider again. Remember to tick the "in screen-space horizontally" checkbox before updating the preview again.

Any plan to add spectators? Kinda dull as is without any life around the Nordschleife!
Also, since its tagged "2025", actual 2025 sponsors around the Nordschleife would be a great addition (see picture below)

This seems to be a consistent problem in AC, I am shocked at the amount of tracks that have no spectators. There's even fully modeled grandstands that are completely empty in many tracks. Unless I'm an idiot and there's some CSP setting I've missed, most of my tracks don't have spectators. That isn't an exaggeration either. I would honestly say most of the 1000 tracks I have in my collection don't have spectators or have very, very few. I know there are CSP spectator options, but I've changed them so it doesn't mess with spectator amounts.

I was hoping that the Track Decoration app by LeBluem would allow placement of spectators, but as of right now you really can't.

If you are using Pure and Pure Planner, the CM time multiplier won't work. You have to use the Pure Planner app in the sim to change the time multiplier because it overrides the CM setting.
@emissary935
The time multiplier in Pure Planner is initialized from the CM multiplier.

So it will take it, but if the pure dynamic controller is used and the option “use last” is active, Pure Planner will load the last state from the previous session.

So if the static controller is used, the time multi and all other settings in CM Drive should be used in Pure Planner…

@MasterFocus @Haunebu52

I just tried the 24H layout and the spectators are there and they are also well positioned, but I don't like the textures so I'll replace them, were you talking about a particular layout?

EDIT: Ok, found it, it looks like the Nordschleife layouts are missing the camera facing file.
I'll redo them my way and then post them here ;)

On this particular tribune, there aren´t any spectators placed in real life since years due to safety reasons. Just my 2 cents.

@MasterFocus the sponsors are there, if you mean the ugly Xiaomi advert

Anyone knows where I can find suitable CS rims for this bad gurl ? I've found some CSR2 files but it's mind-bogglingly hard to separate that stuff lol

I didn't know that. Obviously, my addition is just to add some color and life to the track. As I said before, I don't have the skills to do a good job yet. Is there a guide on GitHub for spectators? For now, I can only add them directly to the meshes, but I'd like to be able to position them only in certain spots and avoid certain overlaps with certain parts of the track. If there's a guide or suggestions, I could do a more thorough job.

For anyone who wants to try it, here's the link for the Nordschleife and Tourist layouts. I know, it looks more like an Oktoberfest, but I haven't been able to do any better so far. Just add the files to the assetto corsa/content folder.

Speaking about spectators; for some time now (I assume in one of the CM or CSP updates), crowds have lost the ability to turn around to face towards the car I'm driving, so when I drive past, they stay in profile... and since most of them are 2D, they remind me of the menacing card-soldiers from Disney's Alice in Wonderland...

I don't know if it's a new optimization to improve the performance of the PC by saving a task, or if it's some new setting I haven't ticked or something similar, because before the spectators turned well on all the tracks, and now suddenly they don't do it on any... Or maybe instead of improving, I'm driving worse and worse and it's not even worth looking at me anymore...

Can someone enlighten this poor idiot so the excited masses can once again admire my great driving style, please...?

great work! adds some atmosphere to the track now :)

CTDP I need explanations.......................

This is the car rim
View attachment 1466341

If you hide this object here's what you get

View attachment 1466342

Where is the rim you may ask? Well it's the circular thing. The transparency in the texture make it look like a rim

View attachment 1466343

I fail to see a single argument about how this is effective. They modeled the side of the rim just to not model the front???
One reason could be to perhaps use the same mesh for static and blurred rim.

Perico the crowd still turns around, and I have everything updated to the latest versions.
Try driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini, or try a car with a female driver skin, and you'll see how they turn around.

I made a small modification to the new Fenyr Nurburgring track, I shortened the grass on the sides of the track, increased the length of the outer one and cleaned the straw-colored grass from the pebbles part, just replace the ext_config file in the extension folder, I didn't change anything else.

Is there no way to make it remember the multiplier I've set in the Pure Planner App? Or change the default time progression value set by Pure Planner? I'm looking to change it 30x for each session I play.
