I've tried the kill and restart thing and it doesn't work. Whenever I get this it means this particular one is not going to download regardless of what I try. But I haven't used anything different than the regular explorer function for this process.
Then you should check two things (before using TeraCopy or similar things).

Check the health of your drives (HDD or SSD)
Then do a System File Checker (SFC) in order to be sure that your windows is running fine and nothing has been compromised

Hey guys,

made an AI fastlane for my 50s experiments on Citta Di Aorta. Driving the 356 speedster from @alexlockout

I'm still looking for a way to integrate AI splines into new layouts, so you could choose between AI fastlanes depending on the cars you're going to ride directly from the drive menu, if anyone has some clues, i'm taking it.

hey whats your new Ai behavior settings please?

A little summer horror story for those who have ears.
Hottest day of the year, a bit of headache.
I had a quick-race preset on rt_sonoma with 28 cup cars using the Ferrari355 by Velo 1.3 forked by CF1.
Fire & Forget (TM), flawless fun.

I just grabbed a random ext_config line that sugarcoats cars' bodies and slapped it on the Ferrari via ext_config, here it is:

[INCLUDE: common/materials_carpaint.ini]
[DEFAULTS]
CarPaintMaterial = body
CarPaintVersionAware = 4
[Material_CarPaint_Metallic]
Materials = body
UseDiffuseAlphaAsMask = INVERT
ColoredSpecular = 0.9
FresnelMax = 0.5
FresnelC = 0.08
AmbientSpecular = 1
AmbientSpecularEXP = 5
SpecularBase = 0.4, 10
NormalsNoise = 0.03
NormalsNoiseUV = 500
FresnelMax = 0.4
FresnelC = 0.04
SpecularSun = 0.1, 1000
BrightnessAdjustment=0.5
UseMetallicReflections = 0.2

Why, oh why? The car feels nice and the CF1 modifications really make the cockpit view shine but the skins are definitely not the hottest ones around so I wanted to try some simple trick to bring peace to my mind.

Doesn't look too bad with the ext_config applied, right?

The first test with the 28 cars' grid has been a disaster, I just get a black screen and the sound of idle engines.
Deleted 8 cars, new test, another disaster. No black screen this time but a framerate in line with 8bit computers of my youth, 1 frame every 4 seconds, absolutely unraceable and prone to crash.
I then stopped the testing. :confused:

Some vague figure popped in my mind. By adding further shading via ext_config you can loose more or less 30% of the performance on a per-car basis, even on older not-that-good-looking cars.
Yes, I mean the car's ext_config and not the skin's ext_config. (tried that too, no changes)

So if anybody tells you "YOU HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE TO RACE THE MOST ADVANCED MODS EVAH!!!" you just answer...
No GIF

"It's not really a question of physics, bye bye".

P.S.: tested on few other not-so-hot older cup cars, same results.

I'm sure there are many Lap Time/Hot Lap apps that people can use to compare best laps from other users but someone on RaceDepartment posted one called LapLegends the other day and it's exactly what I've been looking. It seperates it by game, track, car and even if there are mods it will record it for seperate modded tracks and cars for AC. I'm sure of all the sims they have it set up for AC can be manipulated the most for lap times but so far I am loving it. It looks to be in early development but its still working good for me. I'm curious what everyone thinks about this one or if there is a better one out there that I just don't know about yet.

Guess our dear friends over at TheRaceProject still haven't got the news that slapping 4k textures for EVERYTHING in your mods won't make them better... Their entire F1 2014 pack takes more space than the game they ripped the models from, now that's a feat to be proud of lmao.

Guess all that talk about respecting Kunos' pipeline and optimization fell on deaf ears uh. Juts look at that glorious 8K textures for... The t-cam and chassis ? 65mb for a tyre texture ? Is this a joke ?

But who are we to talk anyways ? After all they've got gazillions of subs who deffo know better than Codemasters, Kunos and whatnot lmao

8K for everything... and NO LODs

More space and more PC than the original game XD

Can confirm that this is junk at the moment.

Timing doesn't work right, AI is suicidal trash, DRS is enabled around the entire lap.

There seems to be something wrong with the tarmac - driving on it heavily vibrates the two cars I tested on it, making the FFB extremely unpleaseant.

Going back to spa_2022 and the Kunos original, problem is gone.

Definitely, definitely not worth a 1.0 version - if indeed it is. I haven't seen the Patreon post yet. This is nowhere near finished, even if he does label it 1.0.

Subjective opinion time, but it's also super unnecessary. The 2014 Kunos one was a laser scan as well, I believe - and all the bumps seem to be in the same places. There is no reason to upgrade to this from the best version of the track - the guigui Spa 2022, updated by our racinjoe.

I tried to fix the timing issue of Yas Marina again, you can try to check if it is available.
I will have a look. Cheers.

EDIT: Timing now seems to work right. Thanks!

Now that this is done, if CSP ever fixes whatever's wrong with the AI on the most recent build, I may make an AI rework for the GP circuit.

Only Fenryr could write ''smoother tarmac'' on the changelog and release this! He probably doesnt even test his tracks... Also, what happened with the grass here?

Yes the CD_GAIN entries adjusted down would be a good place to start.
I did eventually find both the mod and the addon in my archives.

Two others I made are for the F1 1990 by RSS and the F1 1991 by ASR
(I dont know if some of these additions/features were incorporated in newer versions of the mods)
Ok. If you ever want to change anything let me know. I am an expert on late 80's and early 90's F1 and know a lot of information that is not on the internet.

Ok these are freaking crazy looking, I've never heard of this before - I went ahead and bought it lol. It reminds me of Speed Racer.

If my quick research is correct, this is like a Prototype spin-off of Turismo Carretera and every entry is just it's own unique purpose-built race car that just share engines?

Like an Argentinian Can-Am?

People should call-in before dropping these bombs.
Spoiler Alert Boom GIF by NOW WE'RE TALKING TV SERIES

I am running the 1993 Williams with Active Ride, and all the electronics. The ASR mod models the Push to Pass system (left yellow button on wheel) to raise the floor and stall the diffuser and increase rpm by 300 rpm.

Though when I map it to the in game DRS the button is a toggle. In reality this button was a hold.

I tried HOLD_MODE=1 in the saved preset but it didn't work.

Any advice on how to make DRS hold as opposed to toggle?

(Williams Grand Prix had this same problem in 1993 after Alain shunted it because he forgot the toggle)

https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/492877-sketchfab (need tampermonkey extension on your favorite browser), once the script is added it'll automatically pop a download button in sketchfab when you view a 3D model
So run this script load up model in sketchfab, click on inspect, it says it 'automatically' pops a download button when you view the model.
I well confused with it, a bit beyond my pay grade. Anyone got it to work?

No you inspect element on the Renault website to get the original sketchfab link, and then when on sketchfab the download button automatically pop up when viewing the model.

If not check in tampermonkey that the script is enabled correctly

Hello,

Anyone (like myself) using "Search Everything" for finding ALL AC related installations?
This App comes extremely handy in finding compressed carpacks in my DBase (e.g. typing "M3" or "c63" in searchbar) and especially when deleting car- and trackpacks as then nothing shall be left :-). Search Everything from VOIDTools. Just a thought and makes life much easier in my opinion. Have a great day.

you should read the pdf file, it shows the specs of the engines. in this pack they have dodge and Chevy engines. in the next bunch of cars they will release, they will have the cars that ran ford and tornado engines.
