Yeah, same here -- and I thought that was the inspiration for the name "Littlebird." Anyway, I just use the original sfx folder with the new car... :)
Yep, was going to suggest this if you prefer the original audio.
The new powertrain is a custom tune of VAG's VR6 engine, so it really needed some V6 music to suit, hence the change.
But yeah, you can't please all of the people all of the time, so it's a good job AC mods can easily be personalised.

There is a 993 GT2 Evo made by Taisen Performance too, which recently came out and is really nice.

I cannot get the hang of driving the DRM Revival cars for the life of me, mostly the brakes just seem super weird and I have to press all the way down on my SR-Ps to lock them.
I tried it, it's good even if it's still under development. It's a GT2 evolved into a GT1, raced in '96

Anyone know if the real life track has light poles anywhere near these two grandstands? I can't find a good picture of either one to see if they have a lighting source.. I hate that they are pitch dark at night, but I also hate fake lighting on grandstands. I much prefer to have an actual lighting source.

Third update for the F1 LM, changes are as follows:

New clearer samples
New handling so the car is more stable now for the player and the car won't tip over if used by the AI anymore.
Car performance has been adjusted so it's now very competitive as it should have been from the start and can now keep up pace with the upcoming F50 GT and SuperSport.
Sounds for the lower RPMs use new samples and now do not sound distorted when transitioning into higher RPMs.

Made a ton of progress on the CLK GTR, will more than likely release it tomorrow due to finally being satisfied with the result as I wanted to add as much variety as possible for the car, several of the colors now reflect the real chassis numbers:

Will have a look but I'd be very surprised if it has dedicated night lighting; Monza isn't really allowed to do any events or track time outside really strict hours, so there likely wouldn't be any need.

Nothing obvious to me here

I risk a potential "sheet"storm with a question to the Kunos Lotus 98T.

I love this car by its look and the feeling in the corners, but what I dont like is the massive turbo lag, despite I had so many races in that car.
My question: Has anyone ever considered to remove the turbo and adapt the engine to not lose the performance of the car?
I really hope you dont hate me for that question.

Have you tried checking it on Google Maps/Earth? It looks like there are reflectors on the other side of the track... although I'm not sure if that's exactly the grandstands you're referring to.

(I've taken a couple of screenshots to show you, but I'm writing this from my phone and I don't know what's wrong, but lately I haven't been able to upload images to the forum...)

EDIT: Okay, I've located the grandstands in question on Google Earth and no, apart from a sad little lamppost and a temporary construction reflector, it seems that area of the circuit has no lighting...

what do you think is the best version of Brno for Assetto Corsa?
Brno reworked 4.0 scroll down to the 15th

I'm testing the new versions of the wonderful AC Legends GTC 60's pack and I have to say: the Ginetta G10 is amazing, absolutely gorgeous!

(I still haven't gotten the hang of the damn Photo Mode app; there's no way I can get the photos to turn out the way I want... 😤)

Hello, are those who race with Cyril Cherry's Touring cars experiencing AI problems in races? Because mine is behaving really badly.

Last time i was at Monza there's no light there. Only on the main straight since it also used for the Monza Rally Show in late November. I have few videos in my archive, but as said i don't remember permanent lights there.

@racinjoe013 you could always add temporary portable light generators, which may (or may not) be in the Track Decoration app (I really must start using this). We used these types of lights a lot in RT tracks and other projects (eg Camino Viejo) where permanent lighting isn't part of the track infrastructure. You also shouldn't upset purists by using these, as you can argue that were only installed temporarily for specific events.

This one it must be good as it has 83% voted for 5star and 14% voted for a 4star. Only one person did spoil the hallelujah starranking by give this great track only a 3star ranking

Totally agree since i'm pretty sure that in some parts of the track they probably have used it during the Monza Rally Show, which took place in the park of the circuit including parts that are not longer in use for normal racing (like the oval).

Need to ask cause i'm having issues finding any info on the following skins that has recently popped up on Overtake
FunCup Liveries by Huib has popped up, Never heard of this series before and finding information on the cars are...well something i'm apparently to stupid to figure out. Just need confirmation that these are real liveries, Cause some of them are sponsored by big GT3 team's like Cometoyou & WRT so just needed to double check

Link 2 and a bunch of others just some examples

Yes there are real. Spaceframe chassis with VW engine in the back with beetle style frame glass body . There do 25 hours are SPA each year with about 45/50 cars throughout Europe & UK.

Grim fact : the guy who invented it was the husband of the Spa manager and killed her in a murder / suicide back in 2021.

(he also founded a garage near my home where my dad turned his ****** E30 325i into an off-brand M3 lmao)

Anyways did the painter for V8Corsa dislike Jamie Whincup or something ? His 2013 and 2014 skins weren't even done lmao

This one has been quite the Blender learning experience for me on how to edit meshes, uv mapping, normals etc. Things I don't know a whole lot about (and still don't), but at least now I know a little bit more.

I got the track just where I want it so it can represent the original Kunos version era and a decent representation of the more modern look. My earlier beta versions didn't quite have this section represented correctly. It was missing some of the new walls I saw in race videos. And there is no need to have multiple layouts per era. Everything can be manipulated via track skins.

I would say yes, Huib's skins are real liveries. These see to match with pics on the European FunCup FB site.

The rest of the skins feel like they all are a part of the races. I am confident that the rest are real.

Exactly! The cars are actually built by WRT, and teams such as Comtoyou and Milo Racing are also active in the series. More information about the cars can be found on the WRT website, as well as on the championship’s own website.

The 25 Hours is indeed the flagship event of the season and, last year, featured well-known drivers such as Marco Sørensen, Todd Hazelwood, Mattia Drudi, Frédéric Vervisch and Maxime Soulet on the grid. Here’s also a fun action video from last year’s event.

Ah, That would be why i didn't find anything, Its all on facebook, and that website is basically blocked on my browser so anything posted on there just don't appear when i search around

In other things i have done.

Small update on the Livery Archive we are now almost at 3000 liveries archived, Still plenty to go trough, i have not bothered going trough the skin pack that came with the WSC update will get around to that some day.

Secondly iHTuning re-imported the Acura ARX-06 over to AC. But since i don't want Ian Bell to DMCA strike my ass you can find an direct link to that car in the IMSA tab for the 2026 grid, Including the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

3D model: Project Motor Racing
Physics: BBi Muggo / ACF (idk we just re-used their physics as they are somewhat decent)
Shaders: BBi Turro
Rest: BBi Discord for providing all the WEC parts etc and for helping sourcing all the LUA crap that is needed for those stuff.

That's about it i think

Good afternoon

Friends, yesterday I updated my CSP to version v0.3.0-preview212, but when starting a session on the track, the screen resolution decreases and changes the video settings.
Currently, I'm using a 34-inch monitor, 144Hz, and CM settings at 5120x2160.
This resolution works fine in CSP 0.2.12-preview1, but, as mentioned above, not in the other CSP.
I tried copying the documents folder from AC to the C: drive, but CSP 3.0 has a different interface, and I also couldn't find the option to change this screen resolution...
If anyone knows how to solve this, I would appreciate it.
Another question, would there be any performance or optimization improvements with version 3.0?

Monza 2025 (beta 0.90)

monza_2025_beta

Throwing this out there for anyone to try in the hopes to get a little feedback. I am concerned about flickering on the sponsor banners. I had to fix a lot of them and redo a lot of the uv mapping for the textures. I do not see any but i'm on an old CSP version and don't know if that would make a difference.

Don't let the name fool you. This is not a representation of the track in 2025. It's just a name I picked so I can separate this version from the Kunos version in my CM track list. It is nothing more than all of the mods i've created or downloaded for Monza rolled into one track so I can keep the original Kunos version 'clean'. It is a beta version (about 90% complete) so you can expect to see some obvious mistakes and maybe some poor texture choices. Because it's based on the original Kunos track, you are free to use any mods for that track with this one, such as ai files, track skins, etc. The one thing you can't do is use a mod that will overwrite the ext_config file. That would cause some issues.

Credits:
-- @Masscot for the animated flagmen and balloons
-- Assets used from the monza2022crf version of the track.
-- knicker for the crowd files.

While this track is not as confusing as some of my other ones, I still need to explain a few things:

-- There are two layouts, the base layout and a raceday layout that adds sponsor banners in some spots based on a 2025 GT World Challenge video I watched as a reference. The raceday layout is best to use with modern cars because the sponsors wouldn't make much sense for cars 10+ years old. Also, when using the raceday layout, I would suggest enabling the 2025 Raceday track skin to complete the look.
-- There are four 'Years' track skins that will bring back certain buildings and structures to make the track more period accurate. For example, enabling the 2010 (probably should have been named pre-2010) skin will make the track look like the Kunos default version with no structures hidden.
-- For performance reasons, I have the animated flagmen and live jumbotron displays off by default for older computer users. You can turn them on by enabling the appropriate track skin. Plus it's nice to turn them off when driving a practice session.
-- Last thing, there is a huge difference in how bright the crowds look depending on whether you use CSPs 'New spectators rendering method' so you might have to do some adjusting to the ambient and diffuse values in the camera_facing file. I have it setup for my CSP options, but yours may be different.

Have fun and hope to hear from someone on any issues you may see. If not, then i'll just keep plugging along thinking everything is all right.
Mod has been updated to beta 0.90. Use the link in the quote to get the updated version. It would be best to delete the old folder first. If you made any changes on your own, be sure to make backups.

I completely re-worked the track setup. By default, if you use no track skins, the track will look like a decent representation of how it looks in 2025 based on race footage. To roll back to how the Kunos track looks (and to use skins you already have for the Kunos Monza track), simply enable one of the older track skins for 2010 or 2013. This will swap out the new objects with the old ones. The 2023 skin will look like the base track but with one bridge structure still enabled and the s/f line banner changed. I'm not even sure the 2025 skin is needed anymore, but I couldn't remember so I left it in there just in case.

I'd be interested to hear of any issues you have using the 2010 or 2013 track skin. I think I hid and enabled everything correctly, but I could have overlooked something.

Known issues:

-- The new 2025 walls have very wavy texture mapping. It may or may not be my fault from re-mapping the textures on the mesh. They are not noticeable at speed but hopefully I can fix them some day.
-- There's a weird burnt out grass line where the old wall used to be in front of the big grandstand at Variante del Rettifilo. You don't see it when driving, but it may look odd watching a replay. I'll get to it eventually.
