I'm finding it hard to believe that PD would model cockpits for those cars...I mean the Ford Model T? The Ford XR8 Race Car, Nike One, Jay Leno's Tank Car, Isuzu 177 Coupe, the Cizeta Moroder?? Hmmm...as much as I hope that there will be cockpits for every car, I just can't see PD getting these cars to model them. Take a look at the GT4 car list...
I want final clarification ASAP as well although this issue seems strangely unanswerable although it seems to be quite easy to confirm and explain either way if you'd asked me ( apart form "translation" factors, which are also inexusable in this day and age IMO ).
But it is what it is right now and I guess we'll know much more soon with a GTP representative at E3 knowing which questions we'd like to see answered or confirmed ( and can hopefully provide, wish him all the luck finding the answers ).
As for modelling those rare cars for interiors, I would guess PD already took all the data they could get ( including interiors for future releases ) whilst working on GT4 on those rare occassions these cars became available for them to model.
Thinking ahead is something not lost on a clever company like PD, this is the least of my worries anyway.
The only problem might be the time needed to put all that data into game models which I really hope they've achieved in all those years.
Someone else mentioned a few days ago those interiors were already present in all the cars in GT4 ( although disabled to function as cockpit view due to the limitations of the PS2 ).
Let's just hope all cars will have at least the Prologue viewpoints and the Premium ones something extra.
