ABSENT:
#72 TOYOTA 2000GT @snowgt

I'm NOT absent. I was last week, and I will be next week. But I'll be there tonight!

Is the race room open already? If not, then when will it be open?
This. vvv
Just opened a room for some testing, feel free to join in...

EDIT: Treed :O

EDIT #2: To all GT-O drivers, I'm thinking of suggestion staying as low as you can go when you're on the high-banked turns as you're racing. This'll hopefully avoid any potential "GT-'O-🤬' moments" you and the P1 drivers may have.

A few mistakes cost me any chance of fighting for the lead, but at least I managed to salvage yet another podium... unlike my usual self, this time I'm actually being consistent (might pay off in the end)...

Also it was close, but I got FL (1:56.527) against Fox (1:56.560) and Jammy (1:56.563) :D

Despite a few misdemeanours and eventually last in class, the car felt brilliant. Even did a 23 lap stint one time. Ferrari needs a bit of top end taking away, and Jag i'll analyse but I was driving for a period of time in the dying laps within 0.1/0.2 of my FL every lap. Thanks to @raceorama123432 @LancerEvo7 @chrisjohnson93 for not being a bunch of idiots and letting this turbo change happen :p

Happy with the win tonight, shame there wasn't a fight between me and Jon, nipping fastest lap at the end was pretty awesome as well.

Prototype Points after three rounds

A couple of more laps and I think we would have done a bonafide 2.4 hours race. ;) Now if only setting up the lobby for a 2.4 hours long Endurance race was possible... #PDLogic

Initial BoP showing Ferrari with a 10mph advantage over the Ford. This at 550hp, with a 30hp cut already :scared: Jag to follow.

All GT-P cars being straight line tested with new turbo kits and HP settings. Expect a fairly radical change around.

I was in 1st place for a while! :)

I think he means that he was 1st in GT-O AM class for while during the race.

Even then, sure he wasn't.

Jakob, brush up on spacial awareness. Didn't appreciate you turning into me at the horseshoe and what happened with @LancerEvo7 ?

Where at, Route X? Long straight is (10 km) loooooooooooooooong.

Finally race without any issues with GT-P's - good driving guys it was pleasure
Maybe I also started to learn finally how to drive GT-O :)

On other hand now there was issues with GT-O's. There was couple blue flag lappings. If driver behind you is lapping you why make it so damn hard to get pass you??
You don't lose nothing (or much) to let driver go pass you but driver lapping you might lose a lot.

Good racing with @snowgt few laps at the start. Toyota was really fast on that main straight (over 270 km/h - wow).
After I got pass of snowgt and getting away from him, rest of race was kind of lonely ride. All I was doing was to get consistent laps and staying away from troubles.

No pole or fastest lap this time but I take win when it was possible to take.

See you all next week.

Edit: My strategy was to make 2 pitstop (counted that GT-O's will make max 66 lap), but after my second pitstop (lap 44) I noticed that GT-O's will make more laps). Then I decided to make 3rd pitstop at lap 61 and we did 71 laps!

Ok, so that went much worse than planned. It started well enough though as I managed to snatch pole by 0.03 or so from Jammy. Held on to the lead at the start and in the first 3 laps Jammy was constantly at my tail which distracted me a little. The Mustang accelerates a lot better out of the corners, so he would always start overtaking until the Toyota's top speed advantage kicked in in the middle of the straights. I then ran a little wide in the second horseshoe and he went past, which resulted in a little role reversal - he would charge ahead onto the straights and I would catch up at start/finish, sometimes braking earlier so as not to run too close into turn 1. I then let a little off, but stayed inside of a couple of seconds as I saw we were getting away from the rest and there was no immediate need to risk more.

That's until lap 14 when I took a slightly wider line on the bank before turn 1 and just when I stepped on the brake I hit 'The Bump' (which I'm sure many of you have experienced before). What makes the bump so bad, is that you're a) late on the brakes as it is, b) you're already turning a little, so your car makes a jump closer to the wall, and c) there is a barrier sticking out of the wall a couple of car lengths further down the road. Well, said barrier brought my 2000GT to a halt from approx. 275kph to 0 in about 3 milliseconds. The car naturally was utterly destroyed, but not only that, I had to drag it around a whole lap to get back to the pits, which cost me about 2.5 minutes. After the repairs I was running 8th in class and more than a lap down on at least the top six, so the race was basically over.

I thought I could maybe try 2-stinting the remaining 55-56 laps, but after another 20+ laps the back of the car suddenly stepped out exiting bus-stop and I went into the wall again. There went my 2-stop plan. I had another mishap later on when I came in another time for repairs, but the car turned left too much on pit entry, which caused me to be reset to the right and the stop to be canceled, so I had to go around damaged another time. It didn't change much anymore. I finished just ahead of Fox, but a lap down on him.

Oh well, chance of the championship is surely gone now, even with double points at Le Mans. Going to enjoy the rest of the races and try for some good individual results. Just need to find a little more consistency.
