Anyone got GTO times for comparison? Doing low 18s in the Dino, haven't tried the 250GTO yet.

Sweep of max points tonight, still yet to get damage in any races all season. Shame Jon got lag damage and then spun into the wall, twice. As you guys said at the start of the race, I'm an AM driver ;) So you all got beat by an AM :P
 
Fun race, more so than I thought it would be.

Made a silly mistake and hit the wall after 20mins, so I had to do a pit stop and then do 2 longer stints to get to the end.

First stint went well, decent lap times but probably pushing the tyres too much, nice 45mins there.

Last stint was going well, could stretch a lead on Nin when I wanted to, but could maintain the gap just by cruising around at 80% (Dino OP). So tbh it was in the bag, just watching the clock go down. Then heading into the quick chicane at top of the mountain, my phone lights up like a Christmas tree as the gf decides to say night.. Terrible timing, one glance away from the screen and I'm in the wall again. Ta love. Haha.

Another stop and from then on I couldn't really be bothered, just seeing out the last 20mins. Nearly had a big crash in front of Furi but managed to avoid that embarrassment. 👍
 
Spurgy was a coward noob today. I was actually ahead him for like 30mins since he kept crashing so often.

So yeah I get a decent start and move into second when Mole goes off after being put off by Spurgy passing him in the Chase. I assume the lead for the next 35 minutes when Spurgy passes me before spinning off and ends up on the right of the track entering Skyline but decides to reverse into my path wrecking my 10 second lead. I drop behind Smuffy and mole after my stop before Smuffy pits a lap later promoting me into second in GTO.


*some boring 30mins later*

I'm catching Mole slowly before I come across PP who presumably has damage going onto the Conrod straight. I move to pass on the left when he suddenly cuts me off and gives me right front damage meaning I had to drive 8 laps with damage. I pit two laps after mole and begin to inch into his lead (I gained but kept losing time with prototypes making late passed meaning I have to bail out of the corner to avoid getting punted wide :/) before he slows down with damage handing me the win. However the last lap was dramatic as I was on fumes coming over the line (saved a little bit by taking it easy on the last lap).


So after having to retire from the lead on two previous occasions in GT-O, I'm happy to get the result I've been waiting for :)

I destroyed you in the middle of the race. Couldn't get around you without somehow having the car get destroyed :(

Forgot about that bit actually. Spurgy braked really early like a noob, so I had to avoid hitting him and then got on the grass and went straight on.

I didn't like the rule that Spurgy was put behind GT-O's at the start. He hit me rear and I have to go pit on 2nd lap (1st race lap) but got for some reason drive through penalty and I have make other pitstop on lap 3. After that my race for win was over. I was almost haft lap behind GT-O leader.
No issues with GT-P's again (other than 2nd lap incident) - good racing.
PP almost push me off the track when I pass him first time. You should be more aware where other driver is and don't do stupid moves.

It's probably a good idea I only turn up for races I've practiced for, or at least been on GT6 for 5 minutes sometime in the month previous, which I haven't :lol: but blame Furi for that, he invited me last minute :p Considering how many offs I had (couldn't learn the track in the dark so was constantly making small mistakes which generally means you're hitting a wall at Bathurst) I'm surprised I didn't hit more people. But sorry to those I did, Nin (bounced off the wall and rolled infront of you), Jammy and Smuffy (lost the car under braking) from what I remember. Still, I didn't do too bad considering I had about 15 stops from continually tapping the walls :p
