I’m saying there should be nothing short of sponsorship that would negate the car being added. I have absolutely no clue if sponsorship on one car means another would be fine with the same sponsor sticker. The cars being owned by the same entity.
Well if it were to be added, I highly doubt Dell or Petrobras would have a problem. As far as I can tell, they aren't the ones twisting Sony's Arm to remove liveries with their Logos Stares maliciously at Dewalt

DeWalt have an issue with liveries? Interesting!

Basically, any livery shared featuring the Dewalt logo usually end up getting removed. As this doesn't appear to happen with anyone else (Not even Nintendo ironically), its strongly suggests that Dewalt themselves (Or parent company Black & Decker) are specifically behind this happening.

Thanks for the explanation. That is a bizarre situation and worth drilling into further.

Let's organise a DeWalt Suck livery offensive.
😆

I am wondering if higher collector level means new garage buildings on world map menu? Or if we stuck with big warehouse you see at level 50?

I like how garage building changed with collector level. It would be nice to see multi-story car park type style at max level. Maybe give big mansion next to it! :D

that'd be great, I doubt this small shed can host the hundreds of cars I have now 😅

It’d be nice if we could see our garage like this.

In March 2022, I brought this to mind about the cars in this article.
That is cool. Check the cars on their Bull Market list. Not saying this article is related, but don't look too far off what we might see in future updates.

We have two from the list. The Cadillac is probably the main outlier, but the Tesla Roadster is something we’ve had in a previous game. The Land Rover is right on par with what are being added.

We’ve got the Cappuccino, Z06, R8, Countach, DeLorean, MINI, Gallardo Murcielago, SLR and E-Type in the game.

The Gallardo we have is the LP 560-4. That's the original Spyder.

The PS3 is a significantly different situation to modern crossgen discussion, to be fair.

Both because of how much the Cell made porting to/from the PS3 specifically much more difficult that modern x86 ports, and because AAA platform holders have realised that dropping your 100 million last-gen audience isn't worth the squeeze exclusives bring to early next-gen.
Irrelevant. Core elements of are carried over. Rendering and elements that are hardware dependent are the only things that change. We're already three years into GT7. I have strong doubts that they will wait until a PS6 release for the next iteration which brings me to...
snc
Ps6 is late 2027 apparently
...THIS

Exactly, PS6 is slated for at least 2 years from now. If there is a GT8 on PS6 it will likely be cross platform. Why? Because no platform generation has EVER had only 1 iteration of GT

PS1 - Gt 1&2
PS2 - Gt 3&4
PS1 - Gt 5&6
PS4 - Gt Sport & GT7
PS5 - Gt 7 & ???

So, GT 8 will either be a PS5 exclusive (no cross platform to PS4) and arrive before the launch of PS6, OR the time between GT 7 and GT 8 will be one of the longest gaps ever, and it will be a PS5/PS6 cross platform game.

The GT6 on PS4 rumors were rampant (go check the forum) but it never happened. Probably because the development environment was not ready for true platform development. IMHO, They'll do a GT8 that exploits the PS5 to the max and maybe even pushes the envelope on PS5 Pro, and then it will be available for play on PS6 when it releases, just as we can play PS4 games on PS5 now. I don't see GT8 as a PS6 exclusive. From a business perspective, it doesn't make sense. They'll want to clear out PS5s

Doesn't appear to address any of my gripes like how it's far too many menus to see if you have a tuning part for your car before buying it.

It should just cost 0 and remove it from your inventory, or at least warn you you are buying something you already have...

The tuning parts aspect of the game is absolute pants.

Tuning in GT7 (and GT in general sense) is great, not really pants like you say. Main thing I think could be improve in my opinion is permanent parts. I do not understand why we have to buy new body or engine to undo them. In GT6 we can undo them without need for new body or engine. Same it goes for widebody. I think we should be able to undo widebody. :)

I put widebody on 1988 Silvia S13 and I regret it because it was on gift car and this was long ago before I understand that the widebody not can be undone. :(

Not sure if it fits in the guidelines here as I couldn't find any relevant threads but if it doesn't feel free to direct me to the correct source.

Anyway, I'm not sure if it will have any relevance here but what is the likely chance they might add the BMW V12 LMR '99 in this update. I'm expecting very low chances but keep in mind it's been teased in game at the GT Cafe so I'm not sure what is everyone's take on it?
In general, with older race cars, the three questions you should ask are:
  • Is the manufacturer in the game already? Obviously yes, and there have been BMWs added somewhat recently.
  • Is the car in other recent games? Yes, the V12 LMR is in Forza and GRID Legends, so BMW are okay licensing it out.
  • Did the car win something? Yes, it won Le Mans - if you look at the pre-2001 race cars PD add, basically all of them win something or are famous for something, they don't add backmarkers to fill out grids.
Since all three are yes, I'd say its a car fairly likely to come to the game at some point.

Though there's no car besides the announced Xiaomi SU7 that I'd be confident in saying would be soon - there's just too many options out there PD could pick from throughout car history. Nobody had the Citroen BX on their likely picks, for instance.

I we ever get Hummer it probably not be the H2 but newer EV Hummer. I just not see a big luxury off roader like H2 being something polyphony will add, but the EV I can see because of rise of EVs.

But for some reason we get surprised H2 then I know what I will want to do with it. I will recreate GTA4 gang Patriot because the livery is cool:

My bad. I'm looking at the Murcielago and Gallardo messing up the Spyder.

Of note are the car brands that haven't featured in the franchise, yet. The Saab 900 in the background, Hummer and AMX.
If Saab gets in, the 92,93,94,96 models are certainly wacky enough for Kaz to include. Along with the Sonett.

On other hand, I keep betting on a second-gen Escalade on cultural relevance reasons, and considering the H2 had the same cultural impact...

I mean, people said the Japanese Kangoo scene was how the Kangoo got in-game, right?

Just for reference, I did investigate this through every party I possibly could (including SBD global) and while nobody is being particularly communicative as to the precise reasons it seems that the "answer" is just, quite simply, Dewalt is incredibly aggressive at protecting its logo and branding. No other SBD brand gives a toss.

One small thing I would like to see added to scapes is an Auto show scape at any of the major Auto shows would be awesome. I took a pic at on one of the street scenes ( can't remember where) and I thought how cool would it be to have a scape at an auto show. My personal preference would the NY Auto show ( I used to love going there as a child) but any of them would be be great.

Here's a fun little prediction-adjacent thing: The Spec III intro, like the Spec II one, will likely mostly use cars added after Spec II (plus the Porsche VGT and RX-Vision GT3 since they're the cover cars, and probably a generic Gr.3 shot or two).

What cars added to the game in the last two years do you think they'll group together in scenes in it?

Probably seven minutes long.

  • F3500-A One Make
  • R34 GT-R Z-Tune at Fuji Speedway.
  • Small SUVs jumping in a dirt race
  • montage of vans, pickups and wagon
  • EVs galore
  • FJ40 and Unimog in slow motion with piano background music
  • Multiple VGTs screeching and spinning
  • hardcore race of GT Awards cars(Maverick, Civic, etc.)
  • Hyundai cars doing burnouts and power sliding with tyre smoke
  • World Tour Gr.3 with obvious confetti and fireworks fanfare
  • T-Spec GT-R versus Ruf RGT 4.2 in some kind of supercar race at Miyabi
  • some kind of crash with the HiMedic in slow motion

These scenes are a must in my opinion:

  • The Castrol Mugen NSX racing the other two JGTCs. (May 2024)
  • An SUV race at Tokyo Expressway. (Almost every 2025 update)
  • The F3500-A and the new generic formula car against each other. (January 2025)
  • A Celica-Impreza-Delta rally race. (July 2024, June 2025)
  • The 296 GT3 leading the way of a Gr.3 race.
  • The FTO against the Civic and the Integra Type R.
  • Any quirky car one-make, like the Carry. (May 2025)
