Yeah, A1GP will be great for that. :D

Kimi on pole, woo! I wonder what will happen between Montoya and Alonso at the start, should be a good race. Schumacher towards the back.

So many drivers loosing it on Turn 8 and 9...

Bad Sato... bad bad Sato.... On ITV When Brundle owned James Allen was bloody funny, it went a bit like this;

Allen: So with no communications Sato could not see Webber
Brundle: Except for 2 shiny things on the side of his car, called mirrors...

OWNED!

Gonna be a great race though :D

williams did good i hope they a good fuel load i think it was last race where they pitted last at the first stop as theey went longest

Wow, the qualifying was really early in the morning. What´s the GMT time of the race?

For some reason, I think JPM will jump out and get Alonso very early on and then hold him off for the rest of the race. Go Kimi! Go Toyota!

That was so annoying :grumpy:

Button was on for the front row until he lost it. I wonder how many people will get caught out in the race. It will hopefully make it more interesting.

Pitty about Webber starting behind Nick though, he would have been in front if not for Sato (I haven't seen it, but from what I've heard).

This McLaren/Renault rows 1 and 2 will be very interesting. I'm hoping JPM can jump Alonso on the start and, as VashTheStampede said, hold him off for the rest of the race. And for gods sake I hope both McLarens finnish (eh, eh .... sorry).

Nice pun. I also think that as long as JPM can jump ahead of Alonso, I don't see any reason why he won't hold off Alonso. Though that is easier said than done.

You're such a goodie-goodie Blake.

Lots of spins in qualifying, hopefully that will mean interesting races. I'm excited.

Turn 8 is the new classic modern F1 corner...period. Up there with the greats at Spa, the Nurburgring, Monaco, etc... amazing.

Interesting qualifying. No real surprises given the order everyone went out in.

wtf. I need to see how turn 8 is so daunting. It looks like chumpwork from the trackmap.

yeah, but it'll probably be the next friday like hungary.

Turn 8 is a quadriple apex corner. The reason why it is such a challenge is that if you take the perfect line you can take it flat out, but if you try to take it flat out and you mess it up you'll have to lift or you'll go off. It was designed in such a way that it would put the cars at the limit of high speed cornering.

I agree with kensei, that corner complex is the bext modern corner complex in F1.

Ugh... Montoya is such a joke. Why's McLaren still running if they continue to award Renault with such presents? *shakes head*

*Agrees*

Then again it's only 2 points. Good drive from Kimi. 👍
